I just got these don’t have crazy speed. I have a 7i club head speed of 82-84. I got them in stiff shaft. These clubs are amazing. I hit the 7i 168 carry and over all 181 in the store. Took them to the course. I had no problem stopping the 7i on the green from 176 yards out. I hit the 6i and 5i ok but at 21 degree and 24 degree it took me a few range sessions. Also bought the stealth 2 HD 4h at 23 degree easy to hit.
Lee great review. I just got a set of these yesterday and can tell you that these are the best irons I have ever hit. Incredible controllable distance gains of around 15 yds for a 7 iron- no fliers for me either. I also have a set of cobras ltdx irons and those are more forgiving for sure but can’t match the stealth in feel and distance. I was concerned with shots going left because I play a draw but none of that on the course. I’m a sweeper of the ball but it was still spinning back a few feet as well. I think however that these stealth irons are not in the correct category of the so called game improvement. My previous set were the p790 and these should be in that players distance bracket but are far superior imo. I actually think that if it wasn’t for golfers ego the stealth would kill the p790 sales. I’m a 7 hcp . Cheers and thank you fire helping me decide on irons choices.
Really enjoyed this video on these clubs. I have SIM2 OS irons and I LOVE them. I really like the STEALTH irons, but it looks so much like a blade to me, it puts me off. Always had more confidence using a cavity-back looking iron.
Lee, how about a review of the various hollow body irons for the mid handicap player. There are some direct to consumer irons which might rival the big names. These irons look very good.
As a 22 handicap (use to be 29) i can't decide between the Stealths, WIlson D9, Callaway Rogue or Ping G425. Currently use Wilson Fat Shaft irons which aren't overly forgiving
the two i would seriously try if i were you is the Stealths and the Ping G425........stealth will probably be more distance but i think you will find the Ping has crazy accuracy ....cheers from Canada
Enjoyed this video, it's great hearing two different points of view and then seeing it in action. It helps me translate what you feel into what I'd feel from these clubs. Subbed
Yes the spin is low, but if you treat the 7i as the equivalent to something between a 5i and a 6i anything over 5000 rpm for Miles is really good, except that the peak height will be more like a normal 7i and descent angle like a 7i. For us average swing speed players I suspect 6i may be the lowest lofted iron to play
You are absolutely right, Lee - you need to bag those!! I understand that for lower handicap players it's all about feel and workability, but for pure forgiveness and accuracy, game improvement irons ought to be in everyone's bags. What I struggle with is the lofts. Why not just call it a 6 iron? And then have the set go to a 10 iron at around 42 degrees.
Because with the center of gravity being where it is in the club head- for forgiveness and ball speed increases- you would hit the 7 iron with the launch of a 9 iron. Hence why they need to strengthen the lofts.
Haha Lee, after watching you on DHG at Weston-super-Mare, these clubs just might be for you😂. Gotta say though, a lot of these modern low lofted “game improvement” irons have a lot to offer for many golfers today. I picked up at set of PXG 0211’s last year at a phenomenal price (🇨🇦$95 ea). At my advanced age (67), they have made golf fun again. Brilliant insightful review.
@@rickcudmore8156 Fortunately I’m pretty much a standard fit as far as length and lie angle. I went with the Project X Cypher 60i 5.5 - Parallel shaft. The lighter shaft, and for that matter in all my clubs now, enable me to play a full round without running out of gas at the end. My 7i is an easy 155 - 160 yds now due to the stronger loft. And, they look great in the bag.
Would you say the stealth are better than the Srixon zx4 ? Stealth are easy to hit high launching and long, but against the rogue st max from callaway? Or the zx4 from Srixon ?
Just wondering Lee if you would recommend these clubs for 14 handicapper? I'm gaming Titleist T200 irons at the moment, but would like a bit more distance and forgiveness. I like a smallish head on my irons, so am just worried if these would be too bulky.
These look just like the magnificent Nike Vapor Pro Combos. Except they’re clunky. I’d like GI irons that: Weren’t clunky, where the long-mid irons blade length weren’t longer than the short irons and had similar offset as their player style counterpart.
I was looking for the same thing in 5 and 6 iron, Justin. Ended up getting the new Cobra Forged Tec. I can't say whether the blade length is longer than the short irons, because I just got the 5 and 6, and I can't recall whether they're longer. But the whole set is very clean at address and the offset is hardly noticeable to my eye. They're much more compact and slimmer than the previous generation, and sound and feel is way better, too. I can't play irons with a lot of offset. Not that I don't probably need it! But I've just grown up playing clubs with less offset and it's what I need to see down there.
Haven't heard from you in a while. I did manage to catch your last trip with Dan. I have been around for a while, OK I 'm old. A tip. Relax a little, you have a good golf swing Sailor. Let the ball get in the way. :-)
hello, I am handicap 10 do you think this iron will suit me I am 52 years old I have a moderate speed swing, I am looking for an easy to play series, with a gain in distance. Last question the lofts being lower the apex is it not too low, and given the orientation of the face the trajectories do not pull too much to the left? thank you
Assistant pro Lee looks like you fixed the shank problem. Felt your pain watching dhg vlog. I get that pitching sometimes. TBF you handled it better then me. I would helicoptered a club😂
What happened to the 4th ball you hit lee you didn’t mention it lol I what you mean about looks and sounds but if you try these or any other irons in this range of clubs then play them there’s not pictures on a score card only numbers lol and unless we are really gifted at this game it’s better to have as much help as possible you generally don’t get back what you lose as you get older lol
Lee mate , you have just fitted yourself !! Enough said about ego crap !! In the bag it works , i wont mention weston! Your yellow top by the way still offends my eyes 🤣🤣🤣

That’s the craziest range I’ve ever seen, are my eyes wrong or is it on a extreme side hill?
Yes!
there might be a ball or two in those bushes.
Easier to collect the balls if they all fall to one side!

i agree...9 cap here and when its 3 deg c and wet and a 2 club wind i want all the help i can get ego be damned
I picked up my set yesterday and went straight to play 9. Incredible irons.
That is a wild driving range.
I'm a big fan of Stealth irons. A friend has just bought some and I copped for his Taylor Made M2s at a bargain price 😊
Recently bought 6 through aw stealth and really enjoy them over taylormade last latest and greatest R11 irons

Sounds good doesn’t it I’m the senior assistant pro lee 😁 ohh and congrats on you and Bernie finishing 3 in the comp you played
Thanks Mark, yeah it does but I may have a new title soon 😉

I tend to agree Justin. In this type of iron I’m reluctant to get 5 to PW for a customer I’d rather order the 5 afterwards once the 6 has been tested.
Just went and got Fitted and these won out over the P790. Can’t wait to get them.
Great video! I’m going for a fitting this Friday and these are definitely on my list
If you're a game improver 12 to 15 HC, 56yrs old. Would you go with the stealth or the Wilson LP? I have no idea what to chose for future use...😮

Brian, how do you like your PXG 0211? I'm looking at those for this year. What shaft did you have installed?

These would help your style swing and I think would improve on your current gaming irons.
Not a bad looking club, especially for the class it falls into.
It’s genuinely stunning
Yes in.kbs max 85 shaft
Srixon ZX 4 MK2
Great review
I have Rsi1 irons would I get better accuracy with these Stealth irons? Thanks

Definite contender
Weird range you on side of a hill 😂

Great video Lee, how would you compare to p790
I'd love to see how they pick up the golf balls on this driving range
The range is now closed but it used to be with great difficulty 😂

Left handed set soon 👍👍
picking mine up tomorrow🤞

Keep ya chin up Lee, get the shanks out of your mind , onward and upward pal , we have all been there just practice, practice, practice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

There is still time for that 😂😂 this was filmed prior to that vlog I’m afraid

I’m sorry but is that driving range really on the side of a hill?
Yeah

Not hit the PXG sorry

What’s a game improvement iron?
An iron to improve your game 👍 I’m ordering some 😂
@@LWG haha I’ll watch in bed later mate.. NAKED 😂😂😂
I’m still looking for a set of irons.. need a bargain tho..
Better golfers look at them as training wheels essentially. But for someone like me a 15 handicap I’ll take them. Lol
