We found your channel via David John’s’ recommendation and we’re binge watching from the beginning. We love your Fun Facts and 2 Minute Tours and the wildlife photography is brilliant. Great job!
Fun fact…Sherwood Forest is in Nottinghamshire. Nottingham City is about half hour away…..I’m from that area and we used to play in the forest as kids, even in the Major Oak before it was fenced off. Love watching you…❤
I think the content is well balanced, a bit of everything, don't always need to be funny the whole time I think everyone enjoys all the different aspects. my favourite is the cinematography and nature shots.
can't say much more than.... "keep it up".... seriously happy with your content and Emily's happy face and fun facts!!! Seriously women.. you have all the talent to keep us coming back.. thank you for a great tour of England and natural entertainment... content is wonderful... a very happy Canadian here... cheers!!
If your ever back in Nottinghamshire, southwell is a great small town, for a visit. Plenty of cafes, shops and pubs to keep you entertained. Plus southwell minster is amazing.
❤ I had a similar experience many years ago there's a road 3 us into Canada and back into the US that takes you to a glacier. I could tell by the map that I was not going to like that road so I chickened out😂😂😂 a couple of months ago one of the van life people up in Canada videotape and droned up that road to the glacier❤ I'm glad to say that I'm glad I didn't go up the road😂😂😂 and I probably won't even if I visit the area again because I bought a big old giant Sprinter high top 4 by 4 170😂😂😂
Here's another fun fact for you Em . I'm a Nottingham lad and as kids we used to go to Sherwood forest . At that time ithe Major Oak was difficult to find and wasn't the tourist attraction it is today . We used to play Robin Hood and his merry men in and around the tree and one time we had a fire actually in the tree . I think they put that fence up to keep little bates like me at bay . Also some super little towns around there including Worksop , Retford and Southwell as well as Edwinstowe . Great vlog guys many thanks .
Sorry we missed you we was nextdoor at gramtham water caravan club site. Wished we have known would have come over said hello. This is a lovely area 🙂👍👍
I recon the camper upgrade is either an engine swap to a v8 supercharged R34 engine.. Or your getting a towbar with a hot tub in the trailer.. 😂🤣 Loved the history lesson and the sulk.. I know how you feel x
There used to be a junction on the nortbound M1 near Nottingham with a brown sign that pointed to 'Sherwood Forest'. There were about six trees behind the sign and my beloved who hadn't been that way before said "Small isn't it" 🤪🤪
Great vlog 👍 Lou be positive about a UK tour, we too are desparate to do the Shengen shuffle (thanks Boris 🙈🤡) but decided its just not worth the risk. Last night we (Edgie & Binny) returned home from our wild camping test around the coast of the UK. We drove from our home in Cornwall to Boston Lincs , then hugged the east coast to Edinburgh. We then drove up to Perth, then across to the west coast through the Trossachs. We then followed the west coast all the way to cardigan bay in Wales. Away 25 nights. Did not stay on 1 single campsite. Did not hook up the electrics. Used aire facilities all the way around for waste etc. Fresh water from aire facilities and hand car wash. Met many fascinating people (@ 2m distance) Picked up and binned lots of litter. Collected lots of sea glass for Binnys jewellery hobby (asmanibeads.co.uk) To sum up, the UK is a truly lovely place, park ups are everywhere if you look. The UK should be a motorhome/campervan road trip destination 👍
That sounds amazing and I need to go check out the jewellery as well, I think its great when people make things out of that type of stuff. So true though, there are a lot of wonderful places to see and visit in the UK 😁
Hello from South Australia. We are in the same position. Travelling around our own country. We have arrived home last night after a 2,548 km trip fail. Were heading to Queensland via Northern Territory (I know the long way). Border closures forced us to mak a decision. Turned arount at our border before entering Northern Territory, if we croossed and then decided to return we would have to do 14 days quarantine. Bush camp for the duration of the trip, so much fun. The Outback is beautiful. Love watching your travels.
Been living in my Sherwood Forest since the ‘70s. This redwood forest in my name is 37 acres & is in Mendocino co, calif.. So fortunate.. how wonderful you two got to traipse around in a Sherwood Forest that is so incredibly old.. ☮️🥰💟🌲
❤ I've only been in your neck of the woods once but I'll be back sooner rather than later😂 I'm building out of camper van I'm going to hit the road one day. My piece of paradise is in the High Mountain Desert of Montana next to the selway-bitterroot wilderness❤ I appreciate it and I'm blessed with it everyday❤ so what do you think about these two aren't they a kick in the pants😂 I only found their Channel a couple of months ago and sometimes I just put them on the background😂😂😂
Love the fun facts! More more more! There’s soooooooo much history in Nottingham and Sherwood Forest. Can’t wait for this grand tour of the UK. Cheers from Canader eh!
Here’s another fun fact for you - 20 years ago I was with a medieval group that came to Sherwood regularly to portray the legend of Robin Hood - we camped opposite the Major Oak. Well, re-enactors being what they are, and us also having carte blanche to scramble around inside the fence around the Major Oak, one night we thought we’d see how many people you could get INSIDE the Major Oak. Answer - 16 adults and one kid…. 👌🏻😁
Nothing gets the week off to a good start like a Camper Vibe video! Brilliant as always, loved Emily's fun facts and all the stunning filming. Intrigued about the upgrade - helicopter blades for the roof? Inflatable ring around the base that turns the whole van into Thunder Clunge 1 (from which Thunderclunge 4 can be launched)? Huge snack cupboard extension? I give up...
Best fun facts ever Emily! One for future reference on our over populated island...if everybody in England spread out to the max, they would only be 150 feet from each other...
Fantastic fun facts this week 😁. Unfortunately I spotted quite a dramatic flaw in this weeks instalment which I feel I must bring to your attention. It occurs 11 minutes and 42 seconds in and I feel there is a major omission. In future when attempting to send smoke signals I strongly recommend involving a fire and not just a rug. Best wishes Rich
Em, love the facts, history is cool. Lou, loved the footage, excellent as always. The UK really rocks. So here’s a fact😂when a dog drinks water they roll their tongue backwards so it forms a kind of spoon. They scoop the water up backwards. It can be filmed Lou and slowed down fascinating to watch. The bowls that collapse down are fantastic to take out on a walk as the dogs are not swallowing air when they drink. Hope you find time to visit Cheshire, like every county in the UK got so much going for it. See you next week then
I know there is definitely a lot to see here isn't there. Oh yeah I love seeing footage of when a dog drinks its very cool, yeah we had one of them bowls but found due to it not being able to dry in enough time despite cleaning it when back at the van it went all mouldy so got the bottle instead 👍🙂
Im glad you have decided to adventure in your own backyard (UK) My van is named DOOBY which stands for Discover Our Own Back Yard. You nailed the 2min tour Emily. Also I have been to UK and seen the Oak Tree in Nottingham when I stayed with friends. Its an amazing place.
The fun facts were fantastic 👍. AJ is looking so well and the sunshine makes you ladies look radiant 🌞🙂 the forest looked amazing 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳 ohh and the videography was exceptional 👍👍👍.
Welcome to the north (ish), also history is amazing! One of my family once told me they weren't interested in history so I asked them what they did yesterday and when they started to tell me I interrupted and said "sorry history's boring" ........changed their perception of the subject xx
Great vid as usual!! Loved the fun facts. The forest never stretched from London to York though but the road between the two went through it hence it's reputation for outlaws and bandits. Also Thousands of native Sherwood oak trees were cut down to build the Royal Navy's ships from Henry VIII through to Nelson. 6,000 trees were used in the construction his ship, HMS Victory, 90% of these were oak. Take care and look forward to the next episode ladies!!
👍👍👍 looks like the signs in the forest are wrong then 😕🤔 the place where me and Lou got married was build out of the wood from old ships, it was lovely that it was reused that's that's sure 😁
Doesn't look much like Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest in the early 60s. Guessing 'Developers improved' the place. Richard Green, Archie Duncan, Bernadette O'Farrell, Alan Wheatley. Good British Actors [Grampa Greg]. The oak didn't have a path around it in the 60s. Had a mate called 'Nerf' who came from Sherwood [or a town near there]. Told us all about it. He said, he was a decendent of Archie Duncan's character 'Little John'. Your facts are always good Emily. Spot History is Mazin Grace! Nice to AJ walkin not hoppin. If you get towards the west coast, Melody and Sarinda might shout you a cuppa. Nice run Emily, your getting a little faster. Other channel Louise? Thanks m8s, enjoyed that.
Girls your facts were brill seriously, but said before say again your camera/video/drone just gets better and better. Reality we never appreciate what's around us. Live in peak District I so lucky. Take care and keep up the quality work you both produce.
Love Sherwood Forest 💕 my grandparents lived in new Ollerton and my dad and his family still lives there. Spent many a happy years walking around sherwood and when we were younger we used to climb in the major oak, so they fenced it off much later than in the 70s.. unfortunately someone thought it was a great idea to set fire to it 😔 luckily it was saved x Clumber park is also a lovely place to visit 😊
KUDOS and thanks MUCH for wonderful share, video:) Love that you were in SHerwood FOrest :) History indeed as I remeber reading Robin Hood stories growing up... So glad to see AJ getting around well :) Cheers to ALL of you from across the pond:)
Some really great videography… and Lou you remind me so much of a girl I once knew… in a good way. You always make me smile and right now that is a real help… thanks.
Dont fret if you cant make it abroad until next year even. You've got all the time in the world and your current videos are ace, I teresting and beautiful as well as funny. So take the pressure off. Things with the virus are far from over and restrictions could change at any time. So chill and keep working hard to make these excellent videos 🛶🚁🚐🦮🐈
Cudmore grove on Mersey island in Essex is worth a look. I was watching sand martins feeding there young. A loverly place with a few parkups closish by.
I enjoyed that video, and all your videos, and the history lesson of Sherwood also the wonderfull photos. You both are lovely and entertaining to watch. Makes a feel good video . Thank you
Looking forward to seeing you at the get together this weekend. If you come up to the Lakes Lou, feel free to give me a shout. I am currently based up here full time in my van so can let you know about some cool park ups and an awesome wild grey seal colony.
Another great vid ladies! When you visited Grafham water, you could have also visited Little Paxton nature reserve with a free park up!! Part of the Ouse Valley way runs through the nature reserve. Maybe save for next time!!
You are in our neck of the woods we in Norfolk. I'm from Gillingham and The Dartford Tunnel/QE2 Bridge can be a nightmare! Best done later evening or early morning! Very interesting info about Sherwood Forest!
Hi Lou, I realised Emily missed the most important ''Fact'', When ''Robin'' was running around Sherwood, Emily would have been known as ''Tall Emily'' as all the folks at that time were so small in stature. . . Love your video's, you have to do the Scottish west coast islands, the wild life is fantastic, they even have sea gulls that fly backwards. 🤔😊😊😊
Hello to you both sorry not been in touch I have been in a bad place the past few days just found out me grandad only got a couple of months to live but hope your both doing OK and aj is doing really well bless him this video has cheered me up a bit so thank you for that and can't believe you went to gratham waters all my family live there and I used to go when I was a kid love it there and Sherwood Forrest was only 30 mins away from me if I knew you was there would of come and seen you all well you both take care all the best x
Hey Jamie, sorry to hear about your grandad, it's not a nice when these things happen, our thoughts are with you guys 💙 glad we could cheer you up a little as well. You guys live in a lovely place its very pretty around there 😊
@@campervibe I know and the way I see it is he had a good life but still upsetting and it is lovely here better than where we were living lol you take care and talk to you both soon x
I reckon a hot tub with a built in music centre and flashy lights. Well that's my dream lol. I never thought about Nottingham and often drive straight past it. The forest looks nice but we have the New Forest down my way where King William Rufus was shot in the eye by an arrow ! Allegedly 😉 Great vid again girls x
😂🤣 Hot tub would be Awsome!! We love the new forest too, was there very recently actually and visit a lit, it's only about 2 and a half hours from us 😁😁 thanks for watching 😁👍
Your both masterpieces Lou the photography is Breathtaking and if more people just loved and appreciated life like you both do what a wonderful world this would be thank you for sharing xox
Bit late to the party for this one, So pleased to see my second favourite dog looking so good and getting his fair share of air time, Rock on AJ, oh, and you two of course 👍👍
Funny this video my other half just said today about time we went inland to sites instead of the coast all the time so maybe we just might visit Sherwood as during the week the Sherwood Forrester steam train passed our dwelling during the week
I love this video just as much as the most recent. The style is different but I love that the videos (whilst being professional) reflect where you are at the time. Loved the facts too. ❤its lovely to see pooch out and about a bit xx
Well where do I start ...the music is spot on with Em's adorable fun facts makes it so interesting, the video graphics out of this world or forest 😉 So glad AJ is moving so much better I think he has more stamina that Lou 😅😆 Awesome as always!! 🥰🥰
Love all your travelling vlogs. But you can't beat Britain, when I see the footage of the landscape just makes me so happy. Of the beaten track in the woods always feels like home like no other place. Been sherwood but think Ashridge estate with its woods and chalkland is better. Keep up the great vlogs, love seeing them :)
Loving this vlog, great to see you back out enjoying the van and AJ is walking so well 👏 we have a couple of nights in the lakes later this week but leaving Saturday, hopefully before it gets too rammed. Be great to see either Lakes or Peak District Lou and keep those fun facts coming Emily, you've convinced me to visit Sherwood before the school holidays 😁
LOVE the fun facts! And history is amazing. PLUS, the editor is ah-mazing...10 people (15 Emily's) LOL. I love trees. I don't know what it is, they are simply astounding. It's good to see AJ in his Diva glory.
History lesson - Tick ....I love it....and wow that awesome oak tree... i cud live in it......like the magic far away tree....Enid Blyton when i was a kid ...'great' fun facts....:) *
Great vlog yet again ladies. Who would of thought Em's little legs could get her around the town and 2 min tour so quick! 🤷😂 AJ looks like he's moving well 👍 please tell me it's badass wheels?
hi emily and louise i remember going to sherwood forest years ago as a child and you could walk around inside the trunk of the major oak fun times fun fact for you it was rumoured to be robin hoods hideout keep the videos coming pete

Emily's facts are brilliant! Leave her alone Lou 🤣

Emily.. No1 history teacher 2021 🤣❤
Winning in life 😁😆
I recon the camper upgrade is either an engine swap to a v8 supercharged R34 engine.. Or your getting a towbar with a hot tub in the trailer.. 😂🤣

Thanks kieran 😁 love the hot tub idea too, if Lou reads this I'm sure it will probably happen lol!!

Yes, Em, they were a lot of really cool Fun Facts.
There used to be a junction on the nortbound M1 near Nottingham with a brown sign that pointed to 'Sherwood Forest'. There were about six trees behind the sign and my beloved who hadn't been that way before said "Small isn't it" 🤪🤪
That is totally something I (Em) would say 😆🤦♀️
Great vlog 👍 Lou be positive about a UK tour, we too are desparate to do the Shengen shuffle (thanks Boris 🙈🤡) but decided its just not worth the risk. A vast amount of oak trees were used to build Henry the 8ths navy.
Mental right
Another great vid ladies! When you visited Grafham water, you could have also visited Little Paxton nature reserve with a free park up!! Part of the Ouse Valley way runs through the nature reserve. Maybe save for next time!!
That sounds great, yeah definitely save it for next time 😀
Hi hope you are all well. I think your upgrade will be a awning for Fanny bless her xx
We are good Julie, hope you are also
@@campervibe I am thank you. Keep safe xx
Compressing the soil around tree stops the roots growing and squashes the Air out of the soil.. Surprised the fence is not further away !
Yeah with how big the roots are it should be really
You are in our neck of the woods we in Norfolk. I'm from Gillingham and The Dartford Tunnel/QE2 Bridge can be a nightmare! Best done later evening or early morning! Very interesting info about Sherwood Forest!
Yeah seems backed up all the time lately. Oh lovely in Norfolk 😁
Now that would have been amazing, I'm hardly ever the tall one 🤣
I used to play in the Major Oak when I was a kid. Brings back memories, thanks, girls.
Glad it does, I bet that was an awesome place to play
@@campervibe You could have visited Newstead Abbey while you were there, and photographed the peacocks.
Nice video. You won't have to worry about excessive heat if travelling around the UK. You are both looking very well; good to see AJ active again.
Very True Barry and thanks, we think we look to well 🤣 all them cheesecakes taking effect 😆
Loved Emily's history fun facts!❤👍👍 good one, thank you
Just a slight correction, Sherwood Forest isn't "The North" it's "The Midlands"!
It's totally North for us 🤣😆🤦♀️
I was thinking that hahahaha xx
Is Sherwood Forest all original vegetation (or remnants of)? I will look up that fun fact.
Enjoyed that visit so, so much, thank you!!
My Dad worked on that tree about 60 years ago... Tree Surgeon :)
🙂🙂🙂
Allegedly 😉
Great vid again girls x
😂🤣 Hot tub would be Awsome!!
We love the new forest too, was there very recently actually and visit a lit, it's only about 2 and a half hours from us 😁😁 thanks for watching 😁👍
Your both masterpieces Lou the photography is Breathtaking and if more people just loved and appreciated life like you both do what a wonderful world this would be thank you for sharing xox
Thank you 😊
Bit late to the party for this one, So pleased to see my second favourite dog looking so good and getting his fair share of air time, Rock on AJ, oh, and you two of course 👍👍
😂😂 yeah he is loving life again now 😁
Funny this video my other half just said today about time we went inland to sites instead of the coast all the time so maybe we just might visit Sherwood as during the week the Sherwood Forrester steam train passed our dwelling during the week
It is a lovely forest and a fair few different trails 👍
@@campervibe Thanks girls look forward to going there
Come to the Lakes, but wait till after the school holidays as its crazy busy at the moment. Good to see AJ back in action .
Definitely waiting till after then, yeah he is doing well 😀
Don't think i've ever seen Sherwood, and now I'm right ejikated, thank you. Looking forward to lake district and its wildlife. Happy travels.
Thanks Clive, it was a lovely area
I love this video just as much as the most recent. The style is different but I love that the videos (whilst being professional) reflect where you are at the time. Loved the facts too. ❤its lovely to see pooch out and about a bit xx
Thanks again 😁😁👍
Back in the day, Fanny would have been made of wood with wooden wheels and be pulled by a couple of mares..... Similarities to today then 😏😂
19:59 Did they know Lou was going to be visiting....? '😋
I annoyed myself with how many times I said that 🤣🤦♀️
Well where do I start ...the music is spot on with Em's adorable fun facts makes it so interesting, the video graphics out of this world or forest 😉
So glad AJ is moving so much better I think he has more stamina that Lou 😅😆
Awesome as always!! 🥰🥰
Hi Marianne, thank you, he is doing really well, it's nice to get him back moving more 😀🐕
@@campervibe 😍🐕
Love all your travelling vlogs. But you can't beat Britain, when I see the footage of the landscape just makes me so happy. Of the beaten track in the woods always feels like home like no other place. Been sherwood but think Ashridge estate with its woods and chalkland is better.
Keep up the great vlogs, love seeing them :)
Oh very nice, I'll make a note of that one for a trip at some point, you are right though I do love a UK trip for sure 😀
That wasn't Bishops Stortford but the beautiful countryside around Saffron Walden
👍
Loving this vlog, great to see you back out enjoying the van and AJ is walking so well 👏 we have a couple of nights in the lakes later this week but leaving Saturday, hopefully before it gets too rammed. Be great to see either Lakes or Peak District Lou and keep those fun facts coming Emily, you've convinced me to visit Sherwood before the school holidays 😁
It was lovely 😍 your trip sounds nice as well, have fun 😁
💧 Water droplets were calming and comical.
Another quality production ❤️ love your editing skills and Sherwood Forest is on my door step
Thanks, its very nice there 😊
LOVE the fun facts! And history is amazing. PLUS, the editor is ah-mazing...10 people (15 Emily's) LOL. I love trees. I don't know what it is, they are simply astounding. It's good to see AJ in his Diva glory.
It's really is isn't it, we do love a forest though to be fair, I know he is doing so well
👍Fun facts are great, thank you Emily.🎉
Great video guys great to see Aj relaxing and looking good xxx
He is loving being back in the van and back on mini adventures 🙂🐕
Wow! That's a 🇺🇸 serving-size desert!!
Love the fun facts.
😁😁
3.58 ..... ramping rabbits ! Lol , close to the bone !! 😲😂😂 Great video girls, very informative 👏 .
You know what I meant 🤣
History lesson - Tick ....I love it....and wow that awesome oak tree... i cud live in it......like the magic far away tree....Enid Blyton when i was a kid ...'great' fun facts....:) *
Thanks so much cheza 😁😁 loved the Enid Blyton books when I was a kid 😄😄
Great vlog yet again ladies. Who would of thought Em's little legs could get her around the town and 2 min tour so quick! 🤷😂 AJ looks like he's moving well 👍 please tell me it's badass wheels?
He us moving so much better, totally getting there for sure. Hey these little legs can move when they want to 🤣
enjoyed, the more footage of AJ, he is amazing.
That's some Grandmother TREE!
I know right
hi emily and louise i remember going to sherwood forest years ago as a child and you could walk around inside the trunk of the major oak fun times fun fact for you it was rumoured to be robin hoods hideout keep the videos coming pete
That would be Awsome!! Although I can see why they've fenced it off tho. Thanks so much for watching 😁👍
I am glad you two are back , I love watching you both so funny . Hope you enjoyed being out and out in fanny ha ha
Hey Dave, thanks, its good to be vlogging again 😀
