It’s not really a forklift that’s why ... it’s a front end loader with a fork attachement. That rig could probably carry around 5 + of those cars if u could balance it on the forks. That and the guy probably sorting cars all day doesn’t baby totaled autos
Hey randy, you wouldn't believe it. I took a 520 mile road trip in a 2018 Chevy impala with the naturally aspirated 3.6 v6 vvt. Got 33 mpg average. Absolutely phenomenal. Only had to fill up twice!! Hardly any fatigue from driving because it rode nice and it was quiet inside

I saw a lincoln mark 8 and tried to bid 50 dollars the day before the live auction, but they rejected my bid and said I had to bid in increments of 175 dollars. The morning of the live auction I noticed somebody had bid 150 dollars. That morning the bid increments changed to 25 dollars, so I decided to bid 175 just to see what happened. Shortly after I placed a pre bid of 175, I was notified by email that somebody had placed a bid of 200 and they asked if I wanted to bid 225. I decided not to do anymore pre bidding and watch the car on live auction to see what it sold for. I waited around for almost an hour for the car to go up the list on the live auction and as soon as it came on my computer screen for live bidding, my screen froze up and I lost all audio. Apparently someone at Copart didn't want me to see what the car sold for or what the bidding started at. I would bet they started the live auction bidding lower than 200, and they had a shill bidder working for them trying to get me to pre bid. This was just too strange that my computer froze up the second the car appeared on the screen for live bidding.
No matter what you got a hell of a deal even if the car can never drive again sell the wheels and some other parts scrap the rest of it triple your money back easy
@@TheRealOne86 It's not that simple to throw it back on the auction. Aside from your winning bid, you also pay winning fees. To sell a car, the system works the same way but backwards. You pay to list the car with copart, plus selling fees once the car is sold. In order to make money on a cheap car like this you really need to sell it for much more to even break even.

I paid $493 for it (fees included) and sold it for $1,700 before I could even get done getting an oil change. It was a 2001 Dodge Ram.

How do you head to an auto lot to pick up a salvage car and NOT check the booster pack? Or bring along an extra battery that is both top and side post? Makes no sense to me, but I guess different strokes. Apparently folks with way too much money can afford to make extra trips. I would have went up with a truck and trailer and had the guy set it right on the trailer, strapped it down and went home to mess with it there.
Even if it's not running, you could part it out and make a bundle. I once bought a 1981 Dodge aries with the bulletproof Chrysler 2.2 engine for $80.00 At the time, it was 20 years old, but was a granny car and in xlnt condition. It even looked new. I drove it for 3 years putting over 75K on it. Best damn deal I ever got on a car.
I am not a huge SUV guy (big old full-size sedans are more my thing, which throw up a whole different bunch of issues with rot etc) but that's not a bad looking car - it has that 'razor-edge' styling that was all the rage in the mid-late 2000s and which has aged quite well. The only thing with anything GM of this period is those horrible cheap, creaky interior plastics - an insult to the Cadillac name really. With this one, I suspect that the body damage scared buyers off - at first glance it looks like a lot of work for a cheap old car, especially if there were frame, inner fender or suspension damage, but if it's just bolting on a junkyard fender and bodging the bumper, then it's a no-brainer at that price. The stereos are typical of their time - CD player and a big monochrome dot matrix screen so shouldn't be too pricey but if they are, there"s always the option of a universal surround and a big double-DIN android touchscreen with nav, cams, internal storage and usb / BT etc. Couple hundred bucks should do it. Did this one gave the backseat DVD player with the flip-up screen?

I was looking at a 98' jeep cherokee for a parts jeep as I have an 01' and a lot of the parts are interchangeable. At last minute I remembered I had no space for it and it sold on copart for $70!!! And it was normal wear and starts right up. Had 85k original miles as well. They got such a deal!!!

This one reminds me of one time that I had to bring one of our company rigs back to the junkyard. It had rolled down an embankment at Carlisle, PA and onto the train tracks. The end result was that the top of the cab-over had been sliced off, the driver walked away. There was not much left of the rig and trailer.
In the video he said the black one ran like shit. My guess since it was flood damaged the long game it was not worth the risk selling to a potential customer.
Decent buy spent $750 or less but don’t cut corners dealt with a 2008 SRX that needed body work cost us $1295 for hood & Fender from GM, had 82k sold it for $9300 all In was $8400, that was back in 2014. Those Radio are pricey tho, can be a bitch to swap from other SRX’s Randy. Sold it on EBay btw.
@@hackdeez1075 Copart manager here. Yes, it definitely does happen and there have been some pissed off owners (when an owner retains the vehicle instead of letting the insurance company sell it) and buyers. With the volume the forklift loaders are expected to move, damage is inevitable on occasion.

I bought a 2013 Lexus GS for $150 from copart and all it needed was a new front bumper. Salvage title but I’m happy I got it. Such a steal.

check that drivers side front door. The seam between it and the back door is off. Either the door got jacked or you have frame damage.

You didn't explain why COPART said you owed $305 at the close of the auction, but you then actually paid $265.
When you pay withh a money order, it knocks $40 off the price.

Srx is a pretty good car in my opinion had one for years sold it to my parents boss and it's still running
