That scorched Lincoln would be a really good rebuild video. I'm sure you know, the Ford Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis were all built side-by-side at the same plant and share the same chassis and many other parts. The are also plentiful in the junk yards and parts are cheap.
@@rises889 check the specs on the car...this kia puts out 650 hrs pwrs stock ... This car can go head to head which most chevys. You can guess what it could do with off market tune ups.
not surprised about the civic and what it went for that was a run n drive car with alot of life left in it. i don't know how those years are but i see youtubers that are keeping the 1990 body styles on the road.
For what it's worth, that Lincoln Town Car probably had the cooling fan seize up and it overheated and caused a small fire before it actually blew the fuse for the high speed-side of the fan. I saw this happen to a fan motor on a '99 Continental where it blew the low speed fuse but wasn't blowing the high speed fuse even though the motor was physically locking up due to rust getting pulled into the motor vent openings near the magnets and eventually seizing the rotor intermittently. Had stopped to take pictures of the car and smelled electrical while idling. Quickly shut it off and inspected, and saw smoke from the motor. Unplugged that motor and limped it home. PITA to replace on the Continental due to core support and transverse layout making removal from engine compartment next to impossible, but on RWD platforms it would be easier. IF cars like the Town Car used the same fan motor design (I've seen the motor design used in smaller Fords like the FOCUS or possibly Fiesta IIRC) as the Continental, they are problematic IF rust starts around the the opening to the rotor and windings as it'll eventually lock the motor up and the high speed fuses are seemingly too high to blow before overheating and causing a fire situation, suggesting a design oversight. On that town car, would probably need to replace cooling fan, radiator, condenser, misc. plastic, wiring, and any relays in the area. Some Ford electronics for other things in the car are routed in that area as well.
randy you need to put a larger deposit down. so you don't miss out anymore cars. you may need to upgrade your buying power to 10,000 since you are trying to get more cars for the car lot.
He'll probably bid these 20k on some random shit so it might be better to stay as it is, at least he is limited somehow and cannot go for something he could not afford. + taxes at copart are crazy with higher prices.
If you ever come across the Kia K5, please film it. I want one so bad. I graduate out of high school this year and I hope my parents buy me that car. Maybe they can get it cheaper at the auction rather than a used car dealer. Not sure. Thanks for the videos. I love them.
Cool BMW Randy! I’ve never seen one with a stick-shift! 👍 Reminds me of my parents ‘87 Plymouth Voyager minivan that was a STICK! Learned to drive with that baby 🤣. Also ❤️❤️ the Stinger!
Don't get any E class that is 2003-2006, they have brake by wire system (aka SBC), when they work they work great, however when it has problems or exceed its mechanical cycle (50,000-100,000 brake pump actuations) it requires the entire ABS unit/pump to be replaced and reprogramed and it can be $$$
If you take that X5 home for under or around $1500 you can sell it for over $3500. Those repairs should be under $500 because they always have those cars in the junk yard. This summer I flipped an 04 325xi. Got it for $1300 everything total and sold it for $3500. It had 125k miles. It only needed a new expansion tank cap and a gasket for the water pump. I only spent about $80 for coolant cuz I was losing a lot everytime I open the system for more diagnose. And I could of saved $360 if I'd picked up myself.

You can upgrade your Copart account to full bidding power for another $180. Copart will refund your $420 deposit, then you can 'upgrade' your account to the $600 full account which is a $400 deposit + $200 fee and have enough bidding power to lowball a dozen vehicles at once (or whatever strategy will give you wider coverage). Alternately if you just use the upgrade button on Copart's site, they'll charge you $600 and then you can get your $420 deposit refunded separately. Their site is not smart enough to automatically refund it when you upgrade, you have to ask for the refund.
Start small, I started with Toyota Prius and Corollas, that Kia Stinger GT stars at 39 grand, but can easily pass 60K, the Stinger has a 3.3 turbo V6 mated to an 8 speed auto, 0-60 in 5 seconds, it is a rival to the Audi RS5 and the Mercedes E-class.
Took the Kia Stinger GT around the Track, faster then Audi A5 and BMW 635 for half the cost. One of the best value sport sedans you can buy. Interesting to see how much they will cost in 10 years.
So just curious with these cars needing rebuilt do automatic transmission Ned more work I notice you often bring it up as a negative? I was wondering why that is when Automatic is more fun to drive since you don’t need to change gears
this E550 is worth for parts only. you buy it for less than 1000$, and sell all the parts for a few grands over the time. this is how you make money on it.
I love you're videos keep doing it right man I would love to what ur doing but since I caint I love watch you going through all the cars own lot thanks keep it up we are watching
Keep in mind that the owner may himself or ask a friend to chill bid this up for him. This does not apply if its sold by a reputable insurance company. 20:09 TrailBlazer
It looks like a head imprint on the subaru windshield. I think it was a police chase and when they caught him they put his head thru the windshield as they were arresting him.
@Auto Auction Rebuilds the Lincoln looked like the fire started right where the horn is, I know because I pulled a horn off one just like it for my dads p71 BC a deer pancaked the thing, I still don't know how a fire could start though
The Kia is marked as S which is Salvaged, but it actually runs great.. what does that mean? is that a mistake or they usually mark it as S If It runs but doesn't move?
I have a front bumper and headlights for a 5 series like that. Ive been trying to find a nice 5 series with front end damage to put them on, but selling them beforehand works too.
I just became a certified storm chaser, maybe we can meet one day as I pass through Oklahoma. To begin, on a budget, what do you think about using a crown vic as a vehicle? I thought because the police cars are outfitted with extra weight, the better suspension, the V8, and its low to the ground, i'm thinking it would be good to start. What is your opinion?
I do buy cars from copart and just like the Civic dude I don’t know if they’re stupid or just don’t know the value of cars copart just turn to be dealership for salvage cars because people paying same price as clean title in good shape
does copart allow you to just walk around the lot and see what you like. Or do you need to have a list and pay per car? are you allowed to hook up an obd scanner ?
while I would tend to agree with you that old german cars that looked a little rigged were probably not the best taken care of, the window on my 325 is held up with tape and i've probably taken the best care of it since the original owner. but i guess im the exception to the rule
I really want to buy a truck like 2010-2014 toyota tundra . If not really damaged do you known what is a good price to pay ? Also how can i get a broker or can i buy it directly ?
My Copart lot of 2 and 1/2 hour from where I live it's just not available to drive there and look at the cars when I'm building bidding on cars that are under $1,000 anyway last
Subaru often has a single harness for the body and engine, which means tearing apart the entire car to replace it. Many other car companies use separate harnesses which makes it much easier, but even then would require tearing the dash apart to replace that section. Its a project that requires gutting 2 cars and reassembling one, not worth it unless you have time to burn.
!!!! They want $2450 for that TrailBlazer, Are they insane? With a $325 Member Fee (business account, it's $470 for regular public) and that's with "secured payment", plus $69 Bid Fee, plus $59 gate fee, that totals out to be $2,903!! That's what it would go for on a car dealer lot being sold to the general public AFTER regular Joe took it to Eric The Car Guy to have it checked out and make sure it's up to snuff! Gotta love that Bonus Time, huh?
i "rebuilt" a w211 E class like that and got a fender the same color for about $100 and keys are around $249 but that many miles and all the other lil issues its not worth it
I wondered why your jacket was on every car. Then I realized, pretty smart actually! I'm sure it saves a lot of time while editing.
Love this format of you showing the car then switching to the live auction to see what it went for.
Really enjoyed the content of this video the part where you were explaining why you want to bid or not bid on certain cars is very useful info thanks
Please do more live bidding! It is awesome to watch!
Thats a super clean X5! So rare with a manual trans. Great buy! Loving the Copart walk arounds 👍

Wellington Okumu it has 365 hp not 650.
"I'm not gonna' do anything to screw it up.", says the man who starts the Stinger and lets it run with the oil light clearly illuminated.
For ten seconds on a car that is listed with a crapped out engine it won't make any difference.
Ya running it for a few seconds isn't gonna change anything.
Just seen a stinger for the first time thought it was audi at firts glance didn't even know they made them but was impressed a bad ass looking car.
The civic is in impressive condition, it would be an amazing project cuz looks like pretty easy to fix it and not expensive........

A really good vid, much better and honest. Don’t do something if it is at a loss, be smart and provide good content 👍👍👍
Interesting cars. The Lincoln looks like a nice project. Look forward to the next video.

That Kia must have had a busted oil pan because there was obviously no oil in it, hence the racket and the oil pressure light.
Kia definetly stepped their game up with the Stinger Models.
I love the suspenseful Copart music while you bid. Hilarious. The X5 with a stick was very very rare.
