Seriously though, I thought about this too. I'm not as progressed as you, my main is 281, and I have 8.2k legion. I also have no legacy items, so the temptation to start fresh with people on equal footing is very, very tempting. One thing really stops me; and I think it is being overlooked. Maplestory is already a somewhat niche game. The main reboot server has a decent community though. The main people who will play on hyperion will be players who want to go for being the top in their jobs/classes, and also brand new/seasonal players. As people start to realise it's the same thing, and miss their progressed characters, and realise they aren't gonna make it to the top, they will slowly leave. As new players realise progressing on this server is much harder for a while, they will slowly leave. Seasonal and hype players will slowly leave. The leftover will be the niche of the niche - a small community. I personally don't think it's worth grinding so hard all over again just to risk playing on very low population server.
I mean if there is a world where Hyperion dies, nothing says that I can't just go back and play Kronos. But for now I really wanna give this new world a shot because progressing with everybody where carries and such practically don't exist will be really fun!
@@akkad398 yes. It called solo progression. You can do that on Kronos. Want take extra miles? Drop legion/link. At best you get yourself another 250 block

If it was a rapid progression classic server, I'd agree it'd be a valuable experience starting fresh, going through all the content updates until bigbang and beyond. But as it is now, I don't see that at all. I only started last year, I pretty much struggled the entire way. That experience is already entirely possible. I don't have any bad thoughts about a new reboot server, but I think what you described would be infinitely more valuable of an experience if it was a classic server, where you progress through content updates like other games have had.

I like the game dont get me wrong, had a lot of fun progging and bossing with friends to get up to this point, but the time I spend on another server is time taken away from any other hobbies or other activities I want to get better at. We all have different values at the end of the day and whatever you do with your time is very up to you, but I really hope someone who's thinking about it but also wants to pursue other things in life reconsiders the time investment. Hyperion could be a little fun side project but if you're not pursing number one, having a good time with friends, or you're a content creator, you should really try to avoid the FOMO. I know it ain't that deep, but it's really how I feel. Maplestory isnt the only game out there
basically like a save file, you ever wanna go back and be strong again you can do so. I used to play Ratchet and Clank and they would always get you to restart your game if you wanted to unlock even stronger gear so I get it lol
At first I was like "Yeah, nah." But as time went on I got more and more excited and now I have the itch to start again on a fresh server. The reboot I've been playing on is already established by years of events, strong items new players can no longer get, etc, and this one I'll be able to do every single event on. I thought it wouldn't do very well after the first couple of weeks, but I have high hopes for the server as I see more people getting excited. I have a lot of stuff on other servers already, but I think this is where I'll have the most fun. I'll still do weeklies on the other servers, but I can't wait to level up at my own pace on Hyperion. Will also be interesting to do reboot with weaker mobs with all the job changes that have happened since I levelled my old characters.
the mob changes and level differences will definitely make feel a lot different which will make it a new journey for everyone and why I'm extra excited!

Like which character are we to build relationship(multiple guides showing different relationships) to get juniper berries fastest?
sure I'll try to get it out before new age actually drops! I got time before the patch I ain't really playing maple right now so I have a lot of free time. After the patch it's all grinding from that point on 💀

Yeah it's really as broken as people say it is. Play it and you won't be upset that's for sure. It's an insanely strong well-rounded class that does everything well
@@zuitot5662 i guess it makes more sense if you're doing a wfh job or something while grinding, especially if you're in another country. but 200 dollars for that still seems a little low for my tastes. although i didn't know what i was doing at first and i could definitely do it way faster this time around, i still think it took ~400-500 hours to get 8K legion for me
Hey will you make like a progression guide or something for the new serveer. Because althuogh all the informatino exists I was wondering if youd have one tailored for the new server. Cause there will obviously be some differences of trying to follow an existing progression guide for Kronos vs a new server.
a lot of my gameplay will be recorded and turned into a progression series. So if you want to see what I do to progress I will have that going up on the channel. I won't make a dedicated guide before the release of the server.
I was interested in playing it but I own too much NX on my world (Aurora) that the benefits aren't worth it for me at least. Very exciting for new players tho!
in the same world you can, but if you are trying to move items from a character in world to another you can't. Also, in reboot you are not allowed to transfer any sort of equipment items, only useables and materials and resources
The server switch probably won’t be that great cause you’re only at ground zero in the beginning. Once a years time come around they will probably release a new item that becomes legacy and players after this will not have access to them
If you like farming a lot it's a great class. It does a ton of damage to mobs with ease. It's biggest weakness is that it kind of falls of endgame with its lower end damage, but the class has relatively high utility and great uptime on bosses to make up for it
@@igochopyourdollar shad is relatively uncomfortable and harder to play but has higher potential in almost every way. Shad can farm a little better but needs to do much more damage. Shad can output more DPS but needs to play a lot better and consistently playing around their mechanics. In the end I would still pick DB but both classes are great and worth your time I just find shad a little too active for my taste
no one really knows, just because someone tells you doesn't mean it's necessarily true. A lot of people really just be assuming the worst for a lot of these things.
Are you gunna stop playing on Kronos completely? Or do you plan on still doing dailies/weekly bossing? Either way good luck on your Hyperion journey :)

I don’t have enough time as an adult now to progress like I did in Reboot 1 over the years…. It’s just really depressing to think about actually. I’m sure the no lifers and content creators are happy to start over tho. Idk it gives me tons of anxiety even thinking about this tbh

if i was from the us i would move to the new server aswell to become top of the server to be at a simulair spot as the rest instead of so far behind in a way but i am in EU so ping would make life a hell on Kain
@@akkad398 I think the content is a good idea but I don't think the leaderboards change either, so it's gonna be na/eu reg/reboot, so you're gonna have to track via mapleranks or something. Definitely an uphill battle in any case.

So just a general question.. can you use the storage system? Can I transfer my item on a current character to another character via storage system?
