I feel that just as Luffy's ability to gain allies is one of his greatest weapons, Buggy's ability to constantly stumble to the top should be considered one of the Cross Guild's military assets. The guy just can't lose no matter how much he wants to, and I don't doubt that Crocodile will abuse that fact in his plans

One more thing you forgot to mention but Bonney is MOST LIKELY going to ally with the straw hats. She quite literally idolizes Luffy right now. We also know Bonney has full control of the pacifista so that just further increases the military strength of the Straw Hat fleet (like they needed any more).
I think he left it out because for now it seems speculative (since he only counted people that outright said through word that they allied with strawhats) but it is worth mentioning.

I personally believe that the cross guild is going to recruit all of the main antagonists of previous arcs. This is because Oda has been showing previous arc villains like Geko Moria and Don Kreig to still be alive. I also think it would be funny if when Oda said that the one piece wouldn’t be the friends we made along the way he meant it would be the enemies we made along the way instead, and that’s what the cross guild will be! (Because X marks the spot)
I doubt it would be so simple as to assign them all to one group. I think it is more likely they are going to be divided between Crossguild and Blackbeard. Don Krieg, Ginn and Pearl were shown on Blackbeard's islands. Some will be Blackbeard Grand Fleet and some will be Crossguild. If there is room for it, Sword, the Revolutionary Army or a new group formed under Law and Kidd could also be a potential destination for former antagonists.
I would say some black market organizations because of Buggy mercenary operations and Crocodile underworld affiliations as well as Doflamingo. As well level six prisoners since a lot of them hated white beard like Crocodile Also non government countries because Buggy helped them in wars

The Strawhats biggest weakness is organizational logistics. They have no central leadership, as Luffy really does not want it, and it would take a lot of difficult time and effort to bring all their allies together.
Considering V. Nusjuro's surgical dispatch of them when they got to the island, that problem is gonna be addressed after Egghead so likely not going to happen after this arc. Esp if they get York still after all this.
The endgame is where Luffy's biggest strength that Mihawk pointed out at Marineford prevails. I am starting to think that Oda accidentally made Luffy's entire extensive armada too fricking strong that he needs to really amp up the Celestial's to hold some weight in the endgame, just like how utterly broken Madara in the 4th war was and just to meet, imo a kinda BS ending at the hand of Zetsu.
madara "ending " was force because of the end that Kishimoto had to give to naruto shippuden, to then give a sense to boruto. i dont know if you are aware, but in boruto they are just fighting those celestial things all day long....well go explain that without a link with naruto shippuden.

The revolutionaries already declared it. Did WW2 start when Hitler invaded Poland? Or was it when Japan invaded China? Or was when England declared War on Germany a couple days after the Poland invasion?
@peacefulwarrior9518 the ww2 is actually a great question because the war started with Japan invading China but most people don't count the war between Japan and China to be part of ww2 until Japan joins the axis. So to them ww2 was started by the nazis and not Japan.

Buggy awakening would be a broken power up , he'll essentially become a logia capable of splitting to atomic level that no one can touch him even with haki . And he could split and chop up everyone around , even people and weapons
All these other factions are stacked just for Buggy to be on top with Luffy😂 I gotta weird head canon that's been forming that Buggy may actually fight for the One Piece against Luffy & Blackbeard for a possible way battle. Just imagine if Buggy becomes a legit threat via a broken awakening or something 😭
Shanks and Buggy should definitely reach Laughtale together, but maybe not find the One Piece. Although it would be funny if Buggy accidentally got regarded as the King of the Pirates since as much as Luffy declared that's what he will become, it was only a stepping stone to his true wish.
One of the gag covers shows Buggy fighting a monkey, while wearing a strange suit with large, cube-like wrists and leggings. Dawn Dusk speculated this to foreshadow Buggy stealing all four Road Ponegliffs and Luffy having to fight him to get them back.
As above said, I'm not sure how the WG would allow such an obvious flaw in their forces be allowed to persist going forward. That wouldn't make sense on a competency level, let alone narratively to showcase the WG as antagonists. That's a "fool me twice" mistake that would take a lot of readers out of the story.
@Bask3tChase you're assuming Lillith will have access to the pacifista throughout the aftermath of Egghead and the chaos of the final war. It's not a matter ability, but positioning. Lillith won't be in a position to reverse whatever York does, esp once the actual fighting starts and pacifistas are seen in the frontline.

This is an oversight, sure, but it isn't something obviously dumb. Combing through a massive codebase for a very specific piece of code that you suspect MIGHT be there is extremely hard, and unless they fight Bonney specifically you would never find out by chance.
I feel like you have to add Aokiji to BB’s side. He has already contributed to BB’s agenda with the capture of both Pudding and Garp and until further notice he’s going to keep doing that as a titanic captain. I feel like he’s going to be similar to Gin from Bleach in that by the time he tries to switch sides/do something it’s going to be too late
I don't think Aokiji is stupid to betray BB. I mean ofc he knows that i can solo all the bb pirates,bar shiliew BUT BB s strong. Probably his ideas somehow aligned with BB s. I think Kuzan intentionally follows him.

As Kuzan develops and understands what his role is in the world, he will likely come to a head with BB at some point because BB crosses a line Kuzan himself will refuse to cross. Also note the BB Pirates themselves don't fully trust Kuzan despite his contributions. That may change in time, but considering Auger's words about taking over the world, and Kuzan's journey of finding his own justice (potentially, we don't know), not sure how the 2 would coincide that Kuzan stays with them long term.
This. Either add Aokiji to Blackbeard and Fujitora to Marines, or remove the Pacifista and S-Bear from the Government. Coz they are also not going to be factors in the final war as long as Bonney exists.
i'm sure this has been talked/theorized about before, but i would bet a lot on the nation of elbaf soon being seen as an ally to the strawhats(nika) rather than the red hair pirates. just based on the giants reaction to nika i think it's not too far fetched to assume they will join him. i'm sure it will be more nuanced than just 'the whole nation follows nika', but i think this imo very likely outcome MASSIVELY boosts the possibility of improvement for the strawhats.
Great video! I just about now realized how strong the strawhats (even without affiliated characters) are. It was only natural for a shonen series that our crewmembers would grow stronger with every arc. But we've now reached the top. I loved how you pointed out that miserably weak looking buster call from the marines. That's when I realized that it wasn't the buster call that was weak but rather the giants and strawhats that were stong. Grear portray of powerscaling Mr. Moji!
Given how opportunistic he is I feel Apoo joining Cross Guild with the Numbers is pretty likely. Where Urouge is gonna go is also going to be interesting, that is assuming Kid does not start a crew of supernova dropouts.
Urouge has got to be part of the Elbaf story since we know it connects with the Sky Islands. But Urouge taking center stage will being Enel back into the story.

Dory and Broggy are just pirates from the nation of elbaf they don’t have any control over the citizens of Elbaf they only have control over their pirate crew so Elbaf isn’t siding with either unless something happens during Elbaf arc
While I'm sure something will probably go wrong for the Straw Hats with the ancient weapons plot line, even without them their list of allies fucking crazy. Between Fishman Island, Amazon Lily, Wano, and the Grand Fleet, Luffy has put the Whitebeard fleet to shame in a matter of months.
To add one more thing for the Strawhats. Even though it has not been confirmed officially, but the Strawhats could also have the power of Pluton. Or to be specific, a 2nd Pluton because Franky was the last person to see the official blueprints of the 1st Pluton before he burned them. So it would be very easy for Franky to turn the Thousand Sunny into the 2nd Pluton.

I would’ve put SH at #1 honestly. They also have access to Pluton if needed. And Franky can operate it. They also now have Lilith. And of course, their leader is a top 5 in the verse.
I think the biggest asset of Celestial Dragons is information and technology. Information about the void century, about ancient weapons and a lot more. This will greatly assist them in fights coz I believe atleast Imu must know how to defeat 'The Sun God' or know his weakness.
We're not certain that the weapon they used is Uranus, it could be Pluton or a copy of Pluton. Remember, we know for a fact that Pluton could be duplicated (that's the point of the blueprints in Water 7). When Crocodile first mentioned that Pluton could destroy an island, we saw an image showing what that might look like, and it resembled what happened at Lulusia. Them having Pluton would also explain why they were OK entrusting the Water 7 mission to an incompetent like Spandam; it didn't actually matter that much.

I think this is very on point overall, and I pretty much agree with every postion in the ranking. That said, while it probably doesn't change the ranking itself, one thing I feel is very worth mentioning is how big a factor the extreme difference between the Red Haird Pirates and their extended fleet presents. Because while Shank's himself is pretty confidently stronger than every character we know other than Imu and unknowns like Garling and Dragon (and maybe Mihawk, since Shanks is technically a swordsman and he's the one with the title of "strongest"), his fleet is a TITANIC weakness that can very easily be abused by factions with less moral limitations like the Blackbeard pirates or Cross Guild. No matter how powerful he is, Shanks himself simply cannot protect his fleet if they're attacked from multiple fronts, and that could easily cost him the race or even his life.
1 big mistake is saying the elbaf gigant are fighting with shanks. They literally see Luffy (nika) as a God and in an all out battle they would do anything for luffy. And Sabo also said that he will stop everything and go to Luffy's side the second he calls him. You also Forgot skypia and the fact that Franky knows what pluton is because he memorized the blueprint before burning it. Other than those facts great video
Yeah, I wouldn't count the giants for Luffy, since we don't know what will happen with them in Elbaf. But if you don't include Aokiji for BB, I would not include giants for Shanks. They seem similarly uncertain

I mostly agree with the ranking except the potential growth of the Straw Hat. If the flow of the story is not changing everywhere Straw Hat go to is a potential ally for them. The more we in the end game the more other faction, which are not strong enough to contest will either get obliterated or have to join a force and it will likely on Luffy’s side.
The Marine is not a faction itself. The Marine serves the word government and tries to arrest pirates ans criminals to keep the seas at peace. Their goal is not to be in charge or finding the One Piece. They are here to do their jobs

Hey, Buggy says Hajruding & co were his _biggest earners._ That doesn't necessarily mean _strongest._ There could easily have been someone much stronger who just didn't take on the same amount of jobs as Hajrudin. Not trying to dispute the Cross Guild placement, the end result is still almost certainly the same and they indeed _don't_ have anyone else notable. A small correction on this specific detail.
It is quite convenient for the Strawhats that each of their factions are either full on warriors or have a subfaction of powerful military force of their own. And it looks like they are adding the giants to their ranks too.
The New Giant Warrior Pirates are members of the grand fleet so they already have at least one crew of giants on their side. I'm kind of surprised they didn't show up to egghead. I guess they really are saving the entire grand fleet for the final war.

Law (one of my favorites) joining would be a HUGE upgrade and they have no doctor but he won't be joining for sure especially if Doflamingo joins too?! 🤔🤣
You are probably underestimating Blackbeard. He can have access to 2 ancient weapons and it is also possible that, with Caterina Devon mimicking Saturn, he can take control over the seraphims

Koby has the potential to bring the Marines over to the Straw Hat side. Although from the very beginning of the story Koby has insisted that he will be an enemy of Luffy.

@@damurk1986 Blackbeard is the only person canonically confirmed to have injured Shanks (unless you count that one Sea King). He gave him the eye scar, Shanks even explicitly states that he was not underestimating Blackbeard yet that still happened. If that isn't Oda explicitly telling you that BB can beat Shanks then I don't know what is.

I think the ability of the Strawhats to network with existing factions will assist them in the final war. To the degree that I am fully convinced the final war will commence over the celestial dragons or blackbeard or maybe even both lashing out over a successful alliance forming between the strawhats and red hair pirates. Luffy and co will compete with the core Redhair crew in a Davy Back fight to determine if Luffy has fulfilled his promise to Shanks to become a great pirate and assemble a great crew, and I think either Garling or Blackbeard will kill shanks just as Luffy is about to achieve victory. The Redhairs and their allies join the SH grand fleet because Luffy was genuinely about to win, but Luffy keeps the Strawhat instead of returning it to Shanks because he was killed before their bet could be settled. Maybe he gets a some vivre paper to keep like the one he had fixed into the hat to memorialize Ace. I don't think it'll be a struggle to form up with Dragon unless there's some last minute twist about his full aims that establishes a conflict with the Strawhats, and I think Cross Guild might Ally with the SHs too since Buggy's often dragged into heroic feats by the expectations of people he's technically trying to con, so since the world views him as Shanks' sworn brother, the expectation will fall on him to campaign for revenge, meaning he'd be hitting Luffy up to help him out by letting his crew join the fight since Luffy sees him less as an enemy and more as "that moron who keeps showing up in places he definitely should not be able to get to." Crocoboy I don't think would object to it since more bodies means better odds in whatever scheme he has in mind against the CDs and Marines or against Blackbeard, and Mihawk might actually sympathize with wanting justice for Shanks since apparently the guy is the closest thing he has to a friend aside from Zoro as his pupil and Perona as his long term house guest...also the baboons but IDK if they're still with him or if he set them free somewhere between his island and the headquarters of cross guild.
I am just imagining the final war and it is giving mind-blowing, i mean the one piece verse is so big that when the battle starts there will be havoc everywhere
Cross Guild could genuinely get a pretty huge power up from Moria and Perona joining up. First because they're both pretty strong in their own right, but more importantly because Moria's shadow abilities have massive utility. And since we didn't actually see their escape from Hachinosu, it's even possible he came out of it with a fresh batch of shadows stolen from the Blackbeard pirates already. Considering Perona's relationship with Mihawk and Moria's currently unstable postion, I feel like joining Cross Guild is incredibly likely for them. Their only other option would be the Straw Hats really, due to her also being close to Zoro, and not only would Perona certainly pick Mihawk as her first choice, but I'm also pretty sure Moria would be completely against joining Luffy, and he's the one with the final say.
You pointing out the Blackbeard pirates individually as a squad get a lot Ls is lowkey on point. I agree they’ll probably be top 3 by the end but the fact the got stomped by Garp, Aokiji, Boa, etc. is telling of them over all being weak but being offscreen masters.. also one of the most dangerous.

I think oda is making up really interesting story here. If luffy has all this powers he already said that he does not want to conquer anything. let's hypothetically say luffy is captured and almost ready for execution (by marines or celestial dragons) but I think he will accept his death as same as he did in lougetown despite his enormous power. Which in this moment it could highlight that luffy's resemblance of roger turning himself in despite his reputation and further joyboy. I do not think show will direct towards luffy becoming ultimate hero by defeating imu but rather he would choose freedom for himself which is a lot selfish yet interesting choice.
I could definitely see Cross Guild try to recruit the other former Warlords. If they go to Impel Down they could get Doffy and probably Weevil who was captured by Greenbull. And we also don't know what happened to Moria. Coby supposedly helped Perona by helping her free him. And then you also have Boa who might join simply because Cross Guild is a Yonko crew so they could serve as protection for Amazon Lily now that she doesn't have the Warlord title. That makes sense to me. She would probably set aside her disgust for other men and if the time came when she had to help Luffy, she would and betray Corssguild. I mean Crossguild is basically a mercenary group. Crocodile called Mihawk and said they share the trait of not trusting anyone. And someone like Doffy and Moria would definitely be self-serving if they joined. It would be such a fun dynamic of all these selfish characters trying to be a part of the same crew.

Boa joining the Guild is the most ridiculous idea I heard out of all the comments. Not to mention her hate for men and her lack of desire for a Warlord title even though it would protect Amazon Lily. She only retained the title to help Luffy break in Impel Down. Also, she will never join Luffy's competitors. You have Wano and Fishman Island under Strawhats protection. I'm sure she can get that from Luffy for Amazon Lily, which is technically now under Silvers Rayleigh's protection.
The list of people i wanted to join the cross guild : - the east blue antagonist, Kuro, Arlong, Krieg and so on. - Wapol and Foxy, (cause with Buggy, we basically have the coward trio version of the cross guild) - Enel (this would be awesome, cause Enel with Maxim is basically an ancient weapon) - Weevil - Caesar clown - Moria - Bege
Having the Straw Hats at B- Growth Potential is crazy when you consider the very real possibility that the Red Hair Pirates and Revolutionaries will side with Luffy in the final war. I'm not even discounting the possibility that the remainder of the Big Mom Pirates ally with the Straw Hats if and when Katakuri takes control of the crew, given Linlin and Perospero's absence. *And I haven't seen Kaido's body. If he comes back and realizes Luffy is Joyboy, it's over.*
I doubt Kaido comes back. His dream was crushed and yet fulfilled. "Only JoyBoy will defeat me", pretty much wraps up his character. I like the idea of Katakuri cause Luffy more or less kept his promise to defeat Big Mom. Shanks said he wanted to fight for the One Piece, and Dragon is worst dad of the century, so I wouldnt be surprised if he never even meets Luffy
Agree on all except the growth potential of the strawhats relative to the other factions. I think it's actually the highest of all, perhaps a little shy of Blackbeard. We should expect to see the SHs continue to get stronger by virtue of them being main characters that continue to fight against stronger and stronger opponents. We should also expect Luffy to earn the support of the giants once Shanks bows out of the race for the One Piece (via either Blackbeard or Luffy). I think the way the blackbeard pirates become a credible threat is by having that confrontation be in a setting where Luffy can't just call on all his allies for help (it would be weird for him to do so in a pirate v. pirate battle anyway).
It's not really all that broken at all it was way back at early in the story but now most of the top gears have a fair number of individuals who face the Admirals and one of them outright became a gibbering mess of cowardice that just shanks haki And another of them Is incredibly disloyal to the marine
Number 0. the S++ tier is the glowly red eyed/smiling G5 Luffy. When he finds out Blackbeard captured/injured Garp,lead to Aces capture and death, took out Law, and his inevitable defeat of Shanks. We’re going to get a terrifying incarnation of Nika/JoyBoy that will be out for blood until pacified by the Strawhats.
My guy, Gear 5 isn't about revenge, despite people wanting it to be a rage/hate power up. Sure, I expect Luffy to get mad if he learns about his friends being hurt, but we're not getting Edgy Gear 5. The entire point of G5 was to inject some levity and comedy back into Luffy's fights. The transformation is all about JOY.
im most excited about crossguild alliance. they can take doffy who already offered alliance pre timeskip, moriah with help of perona, weevil under bakkin whos a freeloader and neomads maybe with bakkins help. ex villain crews like bm pirate remnants could join them for survival too. Also now that theyre aiming for pk, croc might look for pluton again.

Until it is discovered how to harm them, they pretty much are above Yonko level. If there is some easy trick to harm them, they will be below Admiral level.

Saturn is alot stronger than Ussop though so the comparison isn't fair, though even an unkillable Ussop would eventually wear down even a Yonko to the point the Yonko has to flee or get defeated.

I think there is some small promise for the cross guild faction, the main point is I think Crocodile as well as Daz Bones were the most significant and memorable One Piece Villains for literally years. After giving Crocodile some 1v1 Doflammingo moments at Marineford as well as a haki level up for both I don't think their strength will be insignificant. One question mark I have over Cross Guild is if they could attract another strong character through the kinds of deals and resources they have like eg. for Boa Hancock for instance finding a new undisclosed home for her people where the Navy don't know where to look for them. I also wonder how much of the Cross Guild taking over the underworld plot is going to play into things.
The one thing the shanks vs kid bout showed me is that they were both glass canons. Kids out but it was almost a two way tie. As thou kid would have never taken down shanks he almost completely decimated his fleet and ships. Shanks almost lost his hole army and a good chunk of his weaker level crew/sub captains to fucking kid. I get that he’s not going for the conquest thing and is taking a more back seat approach but dude you need to shape up your ranks and not just your direct crew

The issue with the revolutionary is that most of them cannot be mobilized. They are mostly freedom fighter operating in their own country, embroiled in wars with the local rulers and army. Dragon is playing on a macro scale, but the force he can move around doesn't seem that impressive.

One more thing you forgot to mention but Bonney is MOST LIKELY going to ally with the straw hats. She quite literally idolizes Luffy right now. We also know Bonney has full control of the pacifista so that just further increases the military strength of the Straw Hat fleet (like they needed any more).

I personally believe that the cross guild is going to recruit all of the main antagonists of previous arcs. This is because Oda has been showing previous arc villains like Geko Moria and Don Kreig to still be alive. I also think it would be funny if when Oda said that the one piece wouldn’t be the friends we made along the way he meant it would be the enemies we made along the way instead, and that’s what the cross guild will be! (Because X marks the spot)
I doubt it would be so simple as to assign them all to one group. I think it is more likely they are going to be divided between Crossguild and Blackbeard. Don Krieg, Ginn and Pearl were shown on Blackbeard's islands. Some will be Blackbeard Grand Fleet and some will be Crossguild. If there is room for it, Sword, the Revolutionary Army or a new group formed under Law and Kidd could also be a potential destination for former antagonists.

As Kuzan develops and understands what his role is in the world, he will likely come to a head with BB at some point because BB crosses a line Kuzan himself will refuse to cross. Also note the BB Pirates themselves don't fully trust Kuzan despite his contributions. That may change in time, but considering Auger's words about taking over the world, and Kuzan's journey of finding his own justice (potentially, we don't know), not sure how the 2 would coincide that Kuzan stays with them long term.

i'm sure this has been talked/theorized about before, but i would bet a lot on the nation of elbaf soon being seen as an ally to the strawhats(nika) rather than the red hair pirates. just based on the giants reaction to nika i think it's not too far fetched to assume they will join him. i'm sure it will be more nuanced than just 'the whole nation follows nika', but i think this imo very likely outcome MASSIVELY boosts the possibility of improvement for the strawhats.

It was only natural for a shonen series that our crewmembers would grow stronger with every arc. But we've now reached the top. Given how opportunistic he is I feel Apoo joining Cross Guild with the Numbers is pretty likely. Where Urouge is gonna go is also going to be interesting, that is assuming Kid does not start a crew of supernova dropouts.

I think the biggest asset of Celestial Dragons is information and technology. Information about the void century, about ancient weapons and a lot more. This will greatly assist them in fights coz I believe atleast Imu must know how to defeat 'The Sun God' or know his weakness.
We're not certain that the weapon they used is Uranus, it could be Pluton or a copy of Pluton. Remember, we know for a fact that Pluton could be duplicated (that's the point of the blueprints in Water 7). When Crocodile first mentioned that Pluton could destroy an island, we saw an image showing what that might look like, and it resembled what happened at Lulusia. Them having Pluton would also explain why they were OK entrusting the Water 7 mission to an incompetent like Spandam; it didn't actually matter that much.

I think this is very on point overall, and I pretty much agree with every postion in the ranking.
That said, while it probably doesn't change the ranking itself, one thing I feel is very worth mentioning is how big a factor the extreme difference between the Red Haird Pirates and their extended fleet presents. Because while Shank's himself is pretty confidently stronger than every character we know other than Imu and unknowns like Garling and Dragon (and maybe Mihawk, since Shanks is technically a swordsman and he's the one with the title of "strongest"), his fleet is a TITANIC weakness that can very easily be abused by factions with less moral limitations like the Blackbeard pirates or Cross Guild.
No matter how powerful he is, Shanks himself simply cannot protect his fleet if they're attacked from multiple fronts, and that could easily cost him the race or even his life.
1 big mistake is saying the elbaf gigant are fighting with shanks. They literally see Luffy (nika) as a God and in an all out battle they would do anything for luffy. And Sabo also said that he will stop everything and go to Luffy's side the second he calls him. You also Forgot skypia and the fact that Franky knows what pluton is because he memorized the blueprint before burning it. Other than those facts great video

You forgot to add the nation of Alabasta to the Straw Hats allies, as Vivi is an honorary Staw Hat and would throw the support of her nation behind them in a heart beat.
I mostly agree with the ranking except the potential growth of the Straw Hat. If the flow of the story is not changing everywhere Straw Hat go to is a potential ally for them. The more we in the end game the more other faction, which are not strong enough to contest will either get obliterated or have to join a force and it will likely on Luffy’s side.
Most likely the hidden faction he mentioned is the good Marines, Sword + Fujitora.
The Marine is not a faction itself. The Marine serves the word government and tries to arrest pirates ans criminals to keep the seas at peace. Their goal is not to be in charge or finding the One Piece. They are here to do their jobs

It is quite convenient for the Strawhats that each of their factions are either full on warriors or have a subfaction of powerful military force of their own. And it looks like they are adding the giants to their ranks too.
The New Giant Warrior Pirates are members of the grand fleet so they already have at least one crew of giants on their side. I'm kind of surprised they didn't show up to egghead. I guess they really are saving the entire grand fleet for the final war.

One person/variable you didn't mention with the Marines, and who I think will be a wildcard is Koby. Koby has the potential to bring the Marines over to the Straw Hat side. Although from the very beginning of the story Koby has insisted that he will be an enemy of Luffy.

@@damurk1986 Blackbeard is the only person canonically confirmed to have injured Shanks (unless you count that one Sea King). He gave him the eye scar, Shanks even explicitly states that he was not underestimating Blackbeard yet that still happened. If that isn't Oda explicitly telling you that BB can beat Shanks then I don't know what is.

I think the ability of the Strawhats to network with existing factions will assist them in the final war.
To the degree that I am fully convinced the final war will commence over the celestial dragons or blackbeard or maybe even both lashing out over a successful alliance forming between the strawhats and red hair pirates.
Luffy and co will compete with the core Redhair crew in a Davy Back fight to determine if Luffy has fulfilled his promise to Shanks to become a great pirate and assemble a great crew, and I think either Garling or Blackbeard will kill shanks just as Luffy is about to achieve victory.
The Redhairs and their allies join the SH grand fleet because Luffy was genuinely about to win, but Luffy keeps the Strawhat instead of returning it to Shanks because he was killed before their bet could be settled. Maybe he gets a some vivre paper to keep like the one he had fixed into the hat to memorialize Ace.
I don't think it'll be a struggle to form up with Dragon unless there's some last minute twist about his full aims that establishes a conflict with the Strawhats, and I think Cross Guild might Ally with the SHs too since Buggy's often dragged into heroic feats by the expectations of people he's technically trying to con, so since the world views him as Shanks' sworn brother, the expectation will fall on him to campaign for revenge, meaning he'd be hitting Luffy up to help him out by letting his crew join the fight since Luffy sees him less as an enemy and more as "that moron who keeps showing up in places he definitely should not be able to get to."
Crocoboy I don't think would object to it since more bodies means better odds in whatever scheme he has in mind against the CDs and Marines or against Blackbeard, and Mihawk might actually sympathize with wanting justice for Shanks since apparently the guy is the closest thing he has to a friend aside from Zoro as his pupil and Perona as his long term house guest...also the baboons but IDK if they're still with him or if he set them free somewhere between his island and the headquarters of cross guild.

Cross Guild could genuinely get a pretty huge power up from Moria and Perona joining up. First because they're both pretty strong in their own right, but more importantly because Moria's shadow abilities have massive utility. And since we didn't actually see their escape from Hachinosu, it's even possible he came out of it with a fresh batch of shadows stolen from the Blackbeard pirates already.
Considering Perona's relationship with Mihawk and Moria's currently unstable postion, I feel like joining Cross Guild is incredibly likely for them. Their only other option would be the Straw Hats really, due to her also being close to Zoro, and not only would Perona certainly pick Mihawk as her first choice, but I'm also pretty sure Moria would be completely against joining Luffy, and he's the one with the final say.

I think oda is making up really interesting story here. If luffy has all this powers he already said that he does not want to conquer anything. let's hypothetically say luffy is captured and almost ready for execution (by marines or celestial dragons) but I think he will accept his death as same as he did in lougetown despite his enormous power. Which in this moment it could highlight that luffy's resemblance of roger turning himself in despite his reputation and further joyboy. I do not think show will direct towards luffy becoming ultimate hero by defeating imu but rather he would choose freedom for himself which is a lot selfish yet interesting choice.
I could definitely see Cross Guild try to recruit the other former Warlords. If they go to Impel Down they could get Doffy and probably Weevil who was captured by Greenbull. And we also don't know what happened to Moria. Coby supposedly helped Perona by helping her free him. And then you also have Boa who might join simply because Cross Guild is a Yonko crew so they could serve as protection for Amazon Lily now that she doesn't have the Warlord title. That makes sense to me. She would probably set aside her disgust for other men and if the time came when she had to help Luffy, she would and betray Corssguild. I mean Crossguild is basically a mercenary group. Crocodile called Mihawk and said they share the trait of not trusting anyone. And someone like Doffy and Moria would definitely be self-serving if they joined. It would be such a fun dynamic of all these selfish characters trying to be a part of the same crew.

Boa joining the Guild is the most ridiculous idea I heard out of all the comments. Not to mention her hate for men and her lack of desire for a Warlord title even though it would protect Amazon Lily. She only retained the title to help Luffy break in Impel Down. Also, she will never join Luffy's competitors. You have Wano and Fishman Island under Strawhats protection. I'm sure she can get that from Luffy for Amazon Lily, which is technically now under Silvers Rayleigh's protection.

- Wapol and Foxy, (cause with Buggy, we basically have the coward trio version of the cross guild)

Having the Straw Hats at B- Growth Potential is crazy when you consider the very real possibility that the Red Hair Pirates and Revolutionaries will side with Luffy in the final war. I'm not even discounting the possibility that the remainder of the Big Mom Pirates ally with the Straw Hats if and when Katakuri takes control of the crew, given Linlin and Perospero's absence.

I doubt Kaido comes back. His dream was crushed and yet fulfilled. "Only JoyBoy will defeat me", pretty much wraps up his character. I like the idea of Katakuri cause Luffy more or less kept his promise to defeat Big Mom. Agree on all except the growth potential of the strawhats relative to the other factions. I think it's actually the highest of all, perhaps a little shy of Blackbeard.
We should expect to see the SHs continue to get stronger by virtue of them being main characters that continue to fight against stronger and stronger opponents. We should also expect Luffy to earn the support of the giants once Shanks bows out of the race for the One Piece (via either Blackbeard or Luffy).
I think the way the blackbeard pirates become a credible threat is by having that confrontation be in a setting where Luffy can't just call on all his allies for help (it would be weird for him to do so in a pirate v. pirate battle anyway).

My guy, Gear 5 isn't about revenge, despite people wanting it to be a rage/hate power up. Sure, I expect Luffy to get mad if he learns about his friends being hurt, but we're not getting Edgy Gear 5. The entire point of G5 was to inject some levity and comedy back into Luffy's fights. The transformation is all about JOY.

Saturn is alot stronger than Ussop though so the comparison isn't fair, though even an unkillable Ussop would eventually wear down even a Yonko to the point the Yonko has to flee or get defeated.

I think there is some small promise for the cross guild faction, the main point is I think Crocodile as well as Daz Bones were the most significant and memorable One Piece Villains for literally years. After giving Crocodile some 1v1 Doflammingo moments at Marineford as well as a haki level up for both I don't think their strength will be insignificant. One question mark I have over Cross Guild is if they could attract another strong character through the kinds of deals and resources they have like eg. for Boa Hancock for instance finding a new undisclosed home for her people where the Navy don't know where to look for them. I also wonder how much of the Cross Guild taking over the underworld plot is going to play into things.
The one thing the shanks vs kid bout showed me is that they were both glass canons.
Kids out but it was almost a two way tie. As thou kid would have never taken down shanks he almost completely decimated his fleet and ships. Shanks almost lost his hole army and a good chunk of his weaker level crew/sub captains to fucking kid.
I get that he’s not going for the conquest thing and is taking a more back seat approach but dude you need to shape up your ranks and not just your direct crew

The issue with the revolutionary is that most of them cannot be mobilized. They are mostly freedom fighter operating in their own country, embroiled in wars with the local rulers and army.
Dragon is playing on a macro scale, but the force he can move around doesn't seem that impressive.
