My Adansonii came from the Caribbean island of Trinidad. Many years ago my erst-while mother-in-law smuggled a cutting into Canada. So glad she did. : )
I’m in the chilly San Francisco Bay Area, where we only get rain a few months of the year. So, even though our climates are very different, I still learn a lot from your videos.
I really loved the holes theory😁 this is a new plant added to my garden recently....I just wish they grow well. I somehow like the holes in the leaves....Thanks a lot for light on this plant....as it corrects me if I am being right with the plant.
Hi USB,I cannot but agree completely with parth mayn.video very well made.i have both Deliciosa n Adansonii plants.i adore them for d fenestrations. They r a must have plants in every garden.
Thanku for the very informative and well made video ! Question..Does the single leaf cutting really grow roots ? Curious to see if this works as most aroids require a node
I noticed your ferns. I am a plant collector and have a beautiful selection of ferns and monstera as well as calethias. However, other than my macho ferns, my kimberly queens HATE everything I do. Can you offer some advice to me? I have them near a humidifyer, they get perfect light, and I still mist them but, the tips of the fronds always dry and break off even when the leaves themselves look fine. What do I do?
Thank you so much you give a lot of idea how to take care this adensoni monstera my adensoni monstera leaves were turning curly . Do it adensoni monstera remain dormant during winter?
Hi I am repotting the monstera which had been grown in red soil and its growth was sparse for years.i have cut it down as it was just leggy abd some leaves at the bottom. Saw one root coming out from the bottom. Could it be rootbound? Do i remove the complete red soil in water and use and plant it again in new soil? Pls advise
very informative and well shot video! my adansonii has been growing well in very bright indirect light for about 10 hours (it is kept in shaded sitout) but the newest 3 or 4 leaves have no fenestrations :( they look like normal leaves. could there be any other reason for this? i had repotted it recently as well. thanks
Hello I bought my Swiss cheese plant a few weeks back and I watered it the first time I got it and it took a lot of water so I hung it up and I haven’t watered it since. I’ve been spraying it with water but the tips of the leaves are turning brown/yellow? What do you think I’m doing wrong is it too much water? Or is it root rot? should I change out the pot completely?
Mine came with powdery mildew, so I sprayed the leaves with a mixture of olive oil, soap, and water. Now it looks beautiful and the mildew is gone, so I disagree! Spray your leaves!
“Flowering plant that gives out very unattractive blooms quiet rarely”. 😅
😂
Which variety produces fruit ?
Now that's a rare variety.
@@joecontreras5068 Monstera Deliciosa produces an edible fruit.
Yes one must eat it only after it reaches a stage. Would suggest reading more on it.
I can see the hard work behind making of this video... You always create fresh and soothing content related to plants... Masterpiece!👌🤘
Thanks Parth for acknowledging 🙂seldom do I hear this comment...made my day

What a brilliant and we'll thought out video! I just purchased one last week from IKEA. It was reduced in price and looking sad so I'm reviving it
Wonderful ☺️

Thanku for the very informative and well made video ! Question..Does the single leaf cutting really grow roots ? Curious to see if this works as most aroids require a node
It does take time than the stems but yes u get 80 pc success rate if u take the cutting carefully..video will come
@@Urbanscapegardening will really appreciate if u made a specific video of this process, wanted to try it on my adansonii
I must say that the leaf experiment worked only for my phothos and not the adansonii.
I noticed d door painted white too.
Haha 🤣
Beautiful plant🍀☘️🌿💚

I guess u need to reduce the misting...bright light is the key to a good fern
Very informative.video ..thank you..May I knw a substitute I can use for sea weed fertilizer ?
If it's indoors use sea weed outdoors compost

That's right

No just tease the roots and in the new pot use a well draining mix with cocopeat and compost

Newer leaves tend to have small fenestrations...also the direction is important...south or west would be ideal
ok, thank you! 👍

Good video

Can you please help? Leaves are turning yellow in my plant which looked very healthy just a few months back
Yellowing leaves is due to overwatering
My monestra vine is growing but leaves are small as starting not growing bigger. I am growing it in full sun shade still not good results. What to do?
Maybe u want it to shift to a brighter location?

I’ve been spraying it with water but the tips of the leaves are turning brown/yellow? What do you think I’m doing wrong is it too much water? Yes tips turning yellow is a water problem..you must be overdoing it
What soils to use for plans
Well draining soil with compost
I too am from Bangalore
Please give me one of your plants
Pleaseeeeeeee
Do they necessarily need a moss pole 🤔.. mine is growing well without one!!
Not necessarily if u have this perched up high
Swiss leaf :)
And also what is the reason fr the Browning of the leaf tips ?
Over or under watering
Can it survive in open field like park.
It would need some shade
How frequently do they need the fertilizer ?
Once a month during summer with compost
What about the fruit you didn’t even mention- or do I have to buy a different variety ?
I donr think u get fruits when u grow this indoors...in the wild it may
@@Urbanscapegardening I think it’s only the deliciousisa
Ur right
Can it grow in Low to medium light
Yes but can struggle
@@Urbanscapegardening it's growing it's giving new leaves
@@Urbanscapegardening what are the problems it will face

I mist it daily....
THts unnecessary. Mist only if u see the humidity is very low
Hahaha dont spray your leafs that's a great way to get mold 2end the leafs are yellowing so no wonder that soil it came with was so muddy
Sure
