Thanks for that, actually very cold and raining when we completed that one, however, it does go to show that you can do this indoors with very little equipment. Yes, warm weather would be nice...

What happens to the original plant u cut from? Does it die off or keep growing?

I am water propagating like you showed. After a week the ends seem like they are hard/calloused over. Will roots not grow if that happens?

Yes, they should still grow roots. Let us know how it goes.

Great video, but I never understand why plant people wouldn't know you cut it and stand it in water, end of story.

Many people are unsure as to how to make the cuts, so that the starting point. Also the two methods are different, the soil method actually easier, as you plant them and leave them. Also you get more cuttings with that method. Also when and how to transplant the water cuttings, So more to it than meets the eye if you look closely.

@@johnnyAGardening We all learn by trial and error, it can root wherever you make the cut. Have you never just cut a piece of stem and rooted it?

@@musicalmarion You really need a node on the stem to get roots, as it sends out the roots ( and leaves) from nodes HOWEVER the cutting does not need leaves, just nodes. Success rate is much higher if it has leaves as well.
We have never tried an internodal piece of stem as that should not work, Have you made that work ? If so we will try it next time we take cuttings.
