Hello, I am a girl about the age of your daughter and I'm from Hong Kong. I really like your video and I feel so proud that I am Chinese. Thank you for sharing your lovely family trip.
The Chinese are an amazing people. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Greetings from Israel. This is probably the best coverage of China that I have ever seen!
omg i watched your video like about one week ago, and just now I found out that the old lady you met in Yangshuo is already quite popular in China. She was called “Mama Moon”(in Chinese “月亮妈妈”) and can speak over 11 different languages, although maybe just some simple words and greetings. She has also been invited to different TV shows in China and shared her experiences of learning languages. We cannot say that her English is that good but considering that 20 years ago she didn’t know any single foreign language I must say that she’s indeed an incredible and smart lady!👍 Nice video and welcome to China, there are a lot more fascinating landscapes that you and your family cannot miss😆
Gosh, I loved Shanghai, Chengdu, and Xi'an! As I was watching your video, I kept going "oooh, I remember this place!" It's great that you visited so many places and are so open minded!
WOW! I am well impressed! Beautiful family and to see how open-minded even your kids are is something truly amazing! They also seem to be nice to each other and even share one piece of dessert between the two of them. You can be very proud of yourself as parents! Thanks for the video! Is there a chance you could share the cameras you used? Thanks

Yeah, and I found that many foreigners have similar route and attractions in China. I suspect that they all watched the same travel guide. Hahaha, there are actually many places worth finding, but some may be more remote.
@@Itserikaale China has many different cultural areas. When Chinese people travel to other Chinese cities, we usually put cities from similar cultural areas together in one trip. Beijing and Shanghai are far away from each other and they're different in culture, so we don't usually put them in one trip. (which many foreigners do) My advise is to learn from Chinese people. For example, if you expect to visit Shanghai, try Shanghai--Nanjing--Hangzhou--Suzhou. They're close to each other, and it only takes 1 hour of train from one city to another. This will cost you less, and the trip will also be easier. Most importantly, they have similar culture, so this will give you a much deeper look into the native life in Shanghai. Of course there're another options in China, like Beijing--Tianjin; Guangzhou--Shenzhen--Hong Kong; Chengdu--Chongqing, etc. It's worth trying. If you expect to visit places many foreigners don't know, Lijiang in Yunnan province, Zhangjiajie in Hunan province and Dunhuang in Gansu province really impressed me.

Carrie, this is beautiful narrated. It almost like a professional video. I'm going to China in a few weeks and this sure is helpful. New subscriber here.
Thank you - enjoy your trip!
I am happy that your family really enjoyed. And so do I watching this video.
Great video. Enjoy it thoroughly. It is the best way to understand other countries.
Awesome video Carrie. I did a similar trip in 2012, minus the HK and Shanghai part. The Terra Cotta warriors are fascinating. I need to go back to Xian and check out the pyramids located just NE of Xian.
Beautiful and amazing family welcome to china
Your schedule is really wonderful~ A couple of more recommended places worth visiting: Hangzhou, Guilin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dunhuang, Suzhou et al. Enjoy the food and have fun~
Your kids are cool to try things they are not used to. Their lives will be greatly enriched by this experience
GREAT TRIP IN CHINA, WISH ALL THE BEST OF YOU
Great trip. The itinerary is very good. The high-speed rail can indeed save a lot of money, and it is fast and comfortable. In short, it is much better than flying.
That's really awesome trip
Thanks for your video it's amazing, I enjoyed every single moment you filmed.
I'm also a foreigner studing in china, Im planing to travel around maybe in January or February.
in 2015 I traveled almost the exact same route as you did after Transsiberian/-mongolian railway from Moscow to Beijing. Your video was a true walk down memory lane - even if I went back in 2018 I still feel like I need to go as soon as COVID19 restrictions are lifted.
Showed the locals how to play their sport 🤣
Great holiday video very entertaining thank you 🙏
You really showed how to have a good time as a family.
Very fit family, wow.
Wonderful 2018 trip. Very educational. Most interestingly it was a DIY .....👍👍👍. Massive efforts in planning and executing. Well done.
This is such a good video. I am so glad you guys had a good time in China. Such a well planned trip. Wish I can go to Chengdu, Xi'an, Yangshuo, HongKong soon.
