  • We ‘re making the most of Covid time and getting some things installed on our Honda Talon 1000R!
    It’s been super busy in the garage, but we’re finally to the point of being able to go over everything we’ve done so far…
    We started off with a 40” light bar…
    Then a 12V fused distribution center --- amzn.to/3so9c8d
    Rockville 4 channel marine amp --- amzn.to/45I2VTj
    Instrument cluster relocation
    Custom tablet mount with an iPad Mini
    Bluetooth Radio --- amzn.to/44tDSCi
    Rockville marine tower speakers
    USB charging ports --- amzn.to/3spsyKn
    & to top it all of we slapped on some rock lights!
    bit.ly/RGBRock...
    Stay tuned, more to come!

      Thanks!
      The aftermarket parts availability is nothing like some of the competitors, which means we have to get creative!

    I put the exact same fuse box in! Also you can buy the rubber on Amazon for a new full length under the hood mud guard and make it a bit longer while your at it. Just flip the original over and all the holes line up perfect!

      GO TALON yeah it’s probably a little more circuit wise than I needed but who knows what I’ll add in the future.
      Good to know about the Amazon mud guard though! I’ll have to check it out, I just kinda used up what I had in the garage Amazon would have been my next stop lol

    Very nice setup I just got my 2019 green Talon named him Elliott lol. I was also a fan of the ride command, the ipad is awesome. Hey where you live is beautiful. We are looking to move out of California for retirement. Thanks again!

    Would love to see the details of the iPad mount and integration. That looks like a sweet setup!

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nonerequired the iPad is mounted on the dash. There is no integration to the data from the Talon, what you see is a Speedo app on iOS. I use that instead of having to squint at the original cluster, plus get gps and music controls.

    Nice upgrades, keep the Nets though. Looks good and serves a purpose.

  • @danmize5106

    The nets.... When we bought ours I swore I was going to take them out. Took 1 ride for us to fall in love with them. Now I cant stand riding in buggies without nets... dam branches and stuff always trying to hit you in the face.
    On a safety note, we rolled our Talon (rolled 4 times) down a hill 2 weeks ago. The nets most certainly kept our arms inside the buggy...

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was so torn between keeping them or not.
      I really like the safety aspect of them, but once I put my side mirrors on, they were useless with the nets still installed.
      I removed them for now, but I did save them in case I ever wanted to put them back on.
      They definitely serve a purpose, and it’s nice Honda included them on a stock machine!
      Happy to hear you guys are safe after a rollover!

    What GPS software are you using on your iPad

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on where we ride. Anywhere in TN, KY or WV we run lifetime trailmaps. Other places we’ll use ride command, or onxoffroad

    How were you wiring the 2 way communication through speakers...even though it didnt work?

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s actually just a public address function on my amp. It will make your voice go through the audio system, kind of like a megaphone?
      Integrating the 2 way communication would be awesome, though!

    • @chaddean4940
      @chaddean4940 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trying to find a way for when the 2 way communication is comming in it kills the stereo and 2 way recieve transmission comes over stereo instead...i might have it figured out but not sure

    Whered you get the relocation kit? What sits there if you dont put an ipad?

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have another video on the page going over everything needed. The cluster was originally in the spot the the iPad sits now.
      Let us know if you have any questions!

    Sorry to bother u my question is this I just bought a talon wanting to install whip lights rock lights usb charger for iPad phone I also have a sound bar do I need dual battery I noticed on this video u are not using dual battery

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No bother at all!
      In this video, I don’t have it. But if you check later videos, I did end up going with a dual battery setup.
      It’s fairly inexpensive, and just makes sense.
      I have mine setup to where all aftermarket accessories run from the 2nd battery. Also has a battery isolator relay that will isolate the 2nd from the main as soon as voltage drops below a safe threshold.

    Hey Jay did you do a video on moving the cluster from the center of the dash to in front of the driver? Is there a kit that’s available? Thanks.

    • @GarzaGangAdventures
      @GarzaGangAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I didn’t make a separate video for that. There is a kit that is available it’s kind of a pain to get the wires rerouted, but definitely worth the work.
