- Tina thinks the family is falling apart because of her, but Renee reassures her that it isn’t her fault. Max and Cord arrive at the restaurant together, and both Tina and Cord feel like their friends have ambushed them. In the doctor’s waiting room, Viki admits she’s frightened that Niki could be stronger than she thinks and might not want to let her return. After reviving Gabrielle again, Tony goes to get her something to drink. She pretends to be overheated and takes off her jacket, revealing the negligee beneath. Across the street, Carlo asks his informant what he’s found on Gabrielle, he shows her a camera he has set up, trained on Tony’s apartment across the way. Carlo looks through the eyepiece and sees Tony rubbing an ice pack on a scantily clad Gabrielle’s neck. Carlo interrupts Renee and Tina’s lunch to bring Tina an unwelcome baby gift: a sterling silver bracelet engraved with “Baby Hesser.” The doctor puts Viki under hypnosis and succeeds in bringing out Niki Smith. Niki sets about her usual routine, but Megan interrupts her insults to cut to the chase, asking if Niki shot Johnny Dee. Niki evaders the question and says it’s none of Megan’s business. Realizing she isn’t getting anywhere, Megan suggests they bring Viki back. Gabrielle manages to seduce Tony and they wind up horizontal, making out on his bed. Tony pumps the brakes, but as Gabrielle is insisting it’s what they both want and starts to remove his shirt, Max knocks on the door. Gabrielle hides in the closet and Tony lets Max in. He tells Max he found out about the restitution fund after Gabrielle admitted to Andy that she’d mortgaged the bar and that he didn’t know about the bank account until tonight. Max feels bad for doubting Gabrielle, and he asks if there’s anything he can do for Tony. Tony suggests Max could help him by keeping Gabrielle away from him. After Max leaves, Tony rails at Gabrielle for what they almost did. He says he meant what he said to Max: he wants Gabrielle out of his life.
Cord tells Tina he’s tried hard not to love her anymore, but he can’t convince himself it’s true. She asks whether that means there’s hope for their future, He says that doesn’t mean he’s ready to get back together with her. Megan briefs Viki about the interview with Niki. She says she was reluctant to talk about Johnny or the night he died. She tells her mother one other disturbing thing: Niki walked and stood. Viki thinks this confirms that Niki killed Johnny. Gabrielle catches up to Max and says she took care of the mortgage on the bar and closed the account. Max apologizes for not believing her. He says there’s one thing that’s still bothering him: why does she keep trying to help Tony but all Tony wants is for her to stay away from him. She says she thinks she injured his pride when she opened the restitution account. Max doesn’t buy it and tells her to respect Tony’s wishes and give him a wide berth. Carlo meets up with his informant once again to get the tape of Tony and Gabrielle’s rendezvous.

Renee really handles Asa. I love it. She is not always the wife he wants, but she is always the wife he needed.
Gabrielle was WAAY more of a schemer than Tina ever was. It's like Darth Vader and Wile E. Coyote.
I feel like at least once Cord was in the picture, Tina typically acted with the best intentions for everyone.
Gabrielle was always out for #1 and nothing else.
@@rigeur071 Fiona even said Gabrielle was " demonic" she's being so horrible to tina ! She's stalking her trying to set her up constantly & I really don't get why she is so cruel to her. Gabrielle put tina in so much more of a horrible spot constantly using her vulnerability that she saw from early on cord & Tina's love for him. Cord really never forgave her after their first marriage which he was incredibly hard on her while forgiving quickly the biggest villain Asa. He was the villain. Tina actually got cord in the will & money for him not her. She really loved cord. When he found out she knew he was clints he was horrible to her. Ironic when Blair in the 90s did way worse cord was so good to her. Cord I was stunned stangled tina right there on the spot. When she was really pregnant cord didn't believe her & she wad so shunned she left the country w/ max. Tina saved al from being adopted out. Tina got a kidnapping conviction as an accessory b/c she overheard Gabrielle was switched the babies. She blackmailed her using her love of cord cause he & Asa buried Austin. She never should have gotten a 6 month sentence when Gabrielle got 10 Years. If not for Tina's idea Gabrielle would have done 10 yrs in a halfway house & got a pardon while tina got the parson too but would have been outta there in so much shorter a time. They seemed to be in such a great place too as roommates. When max " died" the obsession w/ taking Tina's " place " as a buke was really scary even using Debra ( who was annoying going after cord) but she was messing w/ her own sister for the wrong reasons. I get max " dying " right b4 their wedding was horrifying but once he was back she got much worse. Im wondering if tina ever finds out exactly how horrible she was behind her back.
It's sad b/c tina is targeted so much by Gabrielle but others not b/c tina has such low esteem & really is a nice person. That's why she falls prey to so many people. I'm glad at least in the 90s we saw that. Viki telling Todd when he thought they were all cursed how tina was a loving good caring person. As much as I didn't like how KT was directed to play her she sought therapy & tina left town & didn't return for a long time. Todd & vikis therapy wad the result of criminal acts. That's why the 2000s is garbage. Tina had what we were told a loving mother in Irene. I'll never believe tina didn't know where her adult son was or the whole ridiculous Irene was alive the whole time. In my Canon she died causing Tina's abandonment issues & her learning about Victor & how she was treated was horrible. Cord also is so back & forth its frustrating. He knows tina slept w/ Johnny to save him & he was so defensive of her & then him ripping her up. Johnny's dead & this baby is innocent & yes he is cords but if he wasn't it's sad how cord is angry again. He can't stick to a place. It also is very noticeable how cord started only wanting tina when some other guy was obsessed or interested. Max led to a short reunion then faux bo cord was after her like crazy & they remarried & this latest almost wedding started on badderly when cord was so jealous of Johnny dee all over her. It's one thing to be protective of her but he always wants her back when another guy is after her. Even max started off using her b/c of Maria Robert's. Once he did fall for her he out of every man actually accepted & loved tina no matter what. Tina simply loved cord & that was it. It is nutty they had like 5 engagements 4 almost weddings & 3 weddings. If cord wasn't so " all or nothing " & had that forgiving nice guy heart w/ her they would have been married all along. Tina finally from here on has so many allies & friends & family. Her & cord would have made it probably after the 3rd wedding if he wasn't presumed dead & fell prey to another sleazy con in Cain.
Yesterday after the hypnosis Vicky was speaking perfectly, lol. If Tina moves out, Cord is gonna come around real quick. I think she does get her own place. Gabrielle is so funny. Mrs Holden- Buchanan these days, lol

Say what you will, Niki really helped Viki during her stroke. Viki was so upset at Niki, it made her get stronger faster
Great point. Hearing Nikki walked made viki know it was done & it was her own fear/ drive stopping her. Nikki of course was that part of her that came out to protect herself & thankfully tina. Nikki was my favorite during this time. Can't even imagine what would have happened to tina if Nikki didn't come out. Johnny was brutalized her & out of control. Carlo was even worried about him being a loose Canon. Tina pregnant w/ Johnny decking her & carrying her out to run off to South America to take over a drug cartel which obviously I doubt Carlo was allowing. Carlo just wanted him gone into hiding. Omg poor tina. That's why thats one of the top ES scenes when she takes over & gets viki up the stairs & in her condition was able to to take Johnny out. He even pushed her down. She made sure that she grabbed his gun which he left when he carried tina & was so good telling him to put tina on the bed & " beat it creep " to be exact was epic. " freeze bozo " as well. Tina owes her life to Nikki. That's the Nikki that was great that cared about vikis sister. Also she was motivating viki to make progress. Imploring to walk down the aisle.

Really loved Alex in this really great episode. She's such a strong independent brilliant normal woman & loved how she handled Asa & she & bo had a very nice friendship going. They are the only 2 who can understand eachother. The crisis of being thrown together looking for Sarah for months Alex left her career after being so dissolusiined w/ the fab & bo lost sarah b/c of it.
I could see this becoming a romance or an interesting great friendship Type vibe. I really enjoyed how bo gave her an Asa " crash course " & she handled Asa so professionally. I really wonder when they made Alex go fatal attraction & why ? I can only think it was during the transition out of Rauch who ES said was getting bored & did eterna to try & motivate b/c he was a very hands on producer. Point is I'm shocked that by under a year Alex goes insane. I can only gather something was up about sarah. Jensen left after she & became popular w/ the fans & bo & sarah were really pushed as finally the love of bo's life. I never understood why Jensen was taken off the show & they dragged her kidnapping on for months. Was Alex supposed to be bo's next love interest or was it a transition? Because they recast Sarah under gottlieb who took over in fall 91. They kept Alex cause Tonya walker is an amazing actress & put her funny enough in Carlo then Asa 's orbits. I adored Renee who was asas conscience & such a matronly figure to tina Andy al cj sarah Luna b/c of her past dealing w/ women & most likely kids. Alex was great w/ asa here & it's amazing they wound up marrying 2x. I could see great possibilities w/ asa bo & Alex right here.
Jensen chose to leave, heading to LA for pilot season. The "missing" plot dragged on because Genie Francis was considering taking over the role - choosing between OLTL and AMC, ABC was letting her have her pick. When she chose AMC, the writers "killed" Sarah. Alex was supposed to be Bo's new love interest, and as you saw here, presented as a straight-shooting attorney, and an independent woman who could handle men like Asa. (Sound familiar? Think a less-quirky Nora Gannon.)
New head wrtier Margaret DePriest, to her credit, here was at least trying to do what Laiman & Carlson were so poor at: defining characters through their interactions with each other. The scenes between Gabrielle & Carlo, Tina & Viki... all so much more meaningful than even just 2 weeks ago. For whatever reason, DePriest doesn't stay too long, and eventually Leah Laiman departs, and leaves Craig Carlson solo as head writer. Characters go vacant again, pacing falls apart...
As for Alex, she's given a father and already has a foster in locked-up Fred Porter's daughter, Lisa - a love interest for Kevin. With the head writer changes running amuck, someone with a Fatal Attraction bug in their ear (Glenn Close also played an "Alex") decides that this Alex needs to go the crazy route. But for that to be interesting, there needs to be an insta-Ann Archer - cue Laura Bonarrigo as the suddenly soft-mannered, damsel-like, very-easily duped & distressed Cassie.

Hold up. I November '90, isn't the Carriage House on the Llanfair grounds, where Wade and Mary-Lynn lived unoccupied? Let Tina have that. Rent free. Not sure why they never let her live there as an adult.
She lived there for a bit with Jenny in 85. They had the west wing too. Last person to live there was Richard Abbot I think unless the brought it back later. I think she didn't want Carlo popping up at any part of Llanfair , disturbing everyone because of her , so best to separate herself
Again, for the zillionth time...Llanfair is the Lord family home..thus Tina shouldn't have to go.
