- Jake is jealous, upon finding the scantily clad Hunter and Megan kissing in her hotel room bed. Megan wants to know what Jake is doing there since things are over between them. Jake says it’s not over between them, he just let her believe that for her own safety. Jake tells her the whole story from the beginning: how he discovered Carlo’s involvement in the film, worked with Viki to figure out Carlo’s plan, helped Viki fool Carlo and everyone into believing she was Niki. Hunter questions whether Jake can be believed, restarting the argument between the two men. Megan says she’s headed to Llanview to see her mother, and until then she isn’t talking to either of them. Gabrielle tells Julia that Carlo attempted to clear her, but she isn’t sure if Troy or Max bought it. Max shows up to extend Renee’s invitation to a celebration that evening. Max indicates there may be some hope for the two of them yet since she saved Asa’s life.
Viki shows up at Troy’s office to make her statement. Carlo says he’s glad she is there to clear up any misunderstandings. In response, Viki slaps Carlo across the face. Carlo’s lawyer suggests his client press charges for assault, but Carlo waves him off. Viki, eager to get her story on the record, tells Troy everything she knows. Carlo insists on his innocence and says it will be proven in due time. Bo asks Alex what’s been troubling her. She says her father told her his job here is done and he’s headed back to Washington, and she’s going with him. Bo starts trying to convince Alex to stay when Renee interrupts to invite them to the luncheon she is having to celebrate Asa’s survival and Viki’s return. After Renee leaves, Bo says the invite is proof that Llanview is where Alex belongs. Viki is incensed when she learns Carlo has made bail and will be walking free.
Renee throws Asa and Viki a party at Andy’s Place. Viki apologizes to Andy for her behavior the other night, but Andy says Viki is welcome to dance on her bar anytime she pleases. The party is spoiled when a messenger delivers Gabrielle divorce papers. Alex apologizes, saying it wasn’t supposed to happen like this, but the damage is done, and Gabrielle storms out. Julia sticks around long enough to give all of the Buchanans a piece of her mind before she follows. Max catches up to Gabrielel to try and apologize, but she doesn’t want to hear from him. Max swears he and Alex and Renee aren’t as cruel as she thinks and he swears it was set in motion awhile ago and the timing was unfortunate and unplanned. Gabrielle asks whether Max would consider dropping the divorce suit. Megan reunites with her mother at Llanfair. After hearing the whole story from Viki. Jake is vindicated. Hunter expresses his thanks to Jake for what he did to protect Megan and Viki. He says he’s loved Megan a long time, and it’s clear Jake loves her too. Hunter puts her on the spot and asks which one of them she chooses.
Oh my goodness! At 3:25 when Viki says "You are following me like a Hawk!" I heard a 'rimshot' in my head and giggled. For those that may not know, Thom Christopher played a character named Hawk on Buck Rogers. lol

Me too, I've tried so much to find it, if anyone can find that soundtrack I'll be so so grateful. It's so romantic, my heart melts instantly when I hear it.
Yes, Gabrielle has a lot of nerve playing the victim after all the crap she's done, but that's just part of her "charm", I suppose. Oh, and Hunter has to be the most annoying "nice guy" I've ever seen...and he just won't go away, lol.
For a second I thought Viki gave Nikis blue top to Alex.😂

I love Gabby and Julia and love the way they lit in to everyone, but they know they have some nerve knowing what they have done, lol
Tony sure loves Gabrielle. He saw her drug the champagne. I thought Max was up to something asking her there but he wasn't, lol

@jaredbaratta8589 Sorry, but I never thought Debra added anything to the show, other than being Cord's 'other woman' when he and Tina were on the outs. Can't say I missed her.

Viki should have gave Gabby the slap she gave Carlo
I'm about 15 minutes into this episode it's really wild to see. I was an avid watcher during this period and I remember the storyline of Carlo trying release Niki Smith very well. However, there are characters I don't remember AT ALL like that bland Hunter dude or that DA. But it's GREAT to see Linda Thorson as Julia Medina, LOVED her on The Avengers. Was just telling someone last night about the period when Linda was on the show. Also nice to see Alex Olanov before she went completely bonkers. Something that always bothered me is how she killed Viki's gardener Gilbert and buried him in the garden at Llanfair and no one ever found out!
Guess that Troy dude is not the DA but either way I have no memory of him whatsoever. Nice to see the original Andy again. And old favorite mainstay Wanda, she came on the show not long after I first started watching regularly.
I know Linda Thorson as “Aunt Isobel” on Emily of New Moon. Julia Medina is… different from her, lol.
@@kristinazubic9669I never heard of that show, I'll have to see if I can find it. I fell in love with Linda when she replaced Diana Rigg on The Avengers. I was so thrilled when she turned up in Llanview, she had a nice long run there.

Gabrielle playing the victim, and Julia backing her up. Gabrielle being manipulative again. After all the lies she told not caring who she hurt, did she expect everyone to forget? She should apologize to Renee.
Why did they recast Max?
DePaiva chose to leave so they recast him via a whole plasyic surgery storyline. Funny thing, DePaiva returned a year later with no mention of the surgery, lol. DePaiva just showed up again one day, lol!
