Make no mistake, these girls are professionals. They take their music seriously, but they also have some serious fun on the stage.
They do have a lot of fun, you can see and feel their excitement and love of jamming! I love the way MISA charges across over to Kanami. She enjoys a swig of Jack Daniels now and again during a performance and you can tell she’s a little bit on the happy side facing off with Kanami. Oh, and barefoot as always. Always barefoot while jamming. It’s a thing.💪🏻🤘🏻
@BigBrutal BassBeer MISA is a big fan of Paz Lenchantin (Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age, etc.) who also seems to enjoy playing barefoot.

At 3:32 it is the perfect Band Maid poster with MISA and Kanami jamming and ER's inset reaction face!!!!! Man that is priceless!!!!! Again, Akane (Drumzilla) just goes about her business driving these songs and switching up the riffs and sounds, keeping everyone on point, all without any real solos for her. These women love to push each other BUT they really let each other have their moments to shine and no ego wars or spats. A real tight band that love playing together and leaving the audience the stunned winners at the end of every song!!!

This band is just so great live. You'll kick yourself if you have an opportunity to see them and miss it.
That's me. Saw the poster of their show but dismissed them as another idol group of sorts. Then some months AFTER the show their video appeared as a suggestion on my TH-cam list and gave it a try. My regret was immense.
Well already bought the DVDs of their shows to see what I let pass and to add to my regret. XD
Going to finally see them in June at a rock festival. Just a little bummed because it's only one hour slot per band and the other band I wanted to see will be playing at the same time. But Band Maid gets the priority.
Yes, they enjoy it as much as we enjoying it. Try "real existence" or "before yesterday" next...

Best show I've ever been to was Band-Maid.
You are experiencing what we all went through when we first stumbled on these girls. It just never ends. Every new song you hear your head explodes and you're reaching for more. It's been 8 months so far for me, and I still blown away every time I put on a song I haven't listened to for more than a week. As there are no bad songs in the catalog I keep re-discovering Band-Maid songs every week it seems.

Trust me the energy & Joy is ALWAYS there. I saw them Live last year at a tiny venue in London. Like a smaller than average gym hall & they rocked our brains out. There was also a short crowd interaction when they needed a break. Had us yelling some silly thing & everyone Had SO MUCH FUN. It was Amazing XD

@@EvilcorkinReacts No idea why it would could £400-£500, last time I went to see Band-Maid it cost me in total £60, and I live in the North, I just coached down, went to the venue, coached back after the show.
It did cost a bit more when I saw them in Japan though... Had to upgrade from the ol' national express for that one.

Your words at the end sum up Band Maid. It shouldn't make any difference that they are female but it is so refreshing than seeing the usual drugged up blokes spouting profanities wearing stud collars, belts, arm bands, black jeans/t-shirts.

@@rickwagner- Thanks Rick. I really envy ( I know, a deadly sin) talented musicians . I struggle with my piano playing and as for composing, where do you even start? Kanami makes guitar playing look so easy.
Ok go back to one of the older songs now. SHAKE THAT doesn't have a film clip just a few still pictures but its one of the song's( alone with FREEZER) that caught people's attention in the beginning.

I know it's difficult to conceptualize. Look up the BRATS Kimarigoto. I have seen these girls playing at approximately 10 yrs old. Now they're outright Headhunters. Two sisters and a friend Rei, Aya and Hinako. The ladies of Band-Maid are long time musicians also. They just happen to be Kawaii Nihonjin Megami.

From Japanese point of view (maybe only me), band-maid doesn't even fit in the J-Rock category. They are too different.
And just as you say - the battle or whatever the crazy thing they do in the middle of a song - shouldn't work, but it does, man! Without that it's not band-maid!!! That's what makes you drool over for more - too delicious!
