Thank you for actually going through the menus and not just rattling off hot keys. Nothing against them, but I imagine this is meant to be instructions on the fundamentals and not a crash course to send us on our way.
Finally, it reached to its dearones Good luck to all gorgeous and generous team of blender May all good dreams come true of all! keep making such videos next
2:52 For Edge Collapse. I'm guessing my version is newer and this video is a little older. My drop down displays Collapse Edges & Faces vs. Edge Collapse. It seems to do the same thing when I follow along, though. Great Videos, though. I am learning a lot. Also it's great that these videos are here. It's frustrating learning something from scratch after doing nothing but MAYA, but it's great that there is another option out there and it actually comes with instructions... what?!
Ik this video has more than 2 years old, but it will have subtitles someday? I am brazillian and its kinda difficult to understand you without automatic captions
Nice and short. Just for the view from a beginners guide: You did not explain how to get into Edit Mode. I know that it's Tab or the selection box in the top left. But since everything is so detailed here I was wondering why you missed on that.
Yes, that's true! Thanks for bringing that up. We do go over Edit Mode in future videos, and the Modeling workspace now brings you into Edit Mode automatically, but I could have made that more clear. I'll keep in mind for future videos!
Wait… @2:58 how did you do ‘Loop Cut & Slide’ to select & delete half the cube. I need to delete part of an oil drum 🛢 to create a Caribbean steelpan musical instrument 🎶😎💫
It is possible, to immediately delete the face or vertex, if its already selected, without always getting the dropdown menu? This way it is pretty inconvenient.
@Blender please make a separate fundamental tutorials dedicated for just grease pencil in blender 2.80 official, A lot of newer users like me will appreciate it, thanks in advance
I'm not really familiar with learning different software such as these. I am a complete beginner struggling to learn blender. I'm wondering am I supposed to take notes from these fundamentals? or just watch them to get a general idea about the interface and refer to them if I need them in the future. I don't know how to consume these videos :p .
I am facing a problem with my edit mode , the problem is after using the "loop cut" tool , I see no cutting line " the black line " . Also when it comes to selecting one of the faces I shows no mark " that orange color " but it still selected and takes normal order but it's very hard to work like this , any help please .. thanks
I Really Need Help , So I Make Roblox Gfx What I Do Is I Go On Blender Then I Press File Then I Press Import Then I Press Wavefront Then I Go To What I Need But When I Click It , Nothing Appers , Please Help Me
Can't agree more, came to the comments to say this. Everything is here in the tutorial for us to be able to figure out what to do, but I wouldn't say it is elegantly written or clear to follow
Frnds i tried to cut edges to turn that Cube into a 2D sheet, After many try i got Nothing. If anyone can plz tell me. Once again, I said I want to Turn that CUBE into 2D Sheet by Using " DIssolve Edges or Edge Loop" How should I Do It? Blender Support team plz Help.
These hotkeys are terrible and that delete submenu thing is garbage. Just delete whatever is selected. There is an edge, vertice and polygon selection mode, like every other non-garbage 3d program.... right? This thing is starting to remind me of Lightwave which is a complete cluster-fuck of a program.
I agree that it's kinda unnecessary to say "simply", but I think what he means is that only a low-effort of operation is needed to proceed (once one knows what is meant) in contrast e.g. to a multistep operation -- I don't think he's trying to comment on how easy it is to understand for a beginner.
Blender really is the most amazing piece of freeware software ever made.
I agree
yeah
It's also the most unintuitive
Thank you for actually going through the menus and not just rattling off hot keys. Nothing against them, but I imagine this is meant to be instructions on the fundamentals and not a crash course to send us on our way.
1:37 note that you have to change object mode to > edit mode here! or else you wont see other delete options
I'm in edit mode but still don't won't let me delete what can I then?
to do this, press ctrl + tab (while your object is selected)
5 videos in 1 day, must be our lucky day! :)
... Or Thanos snapped and ½ the tutorials are gone.
The release candidate for 2.80 came out, so this is why they are updating the videos right now
Just perfect. Yayyy 5 tutorials in one day 😍😍😍. Looking forward for more.

"Why?"
CUBE
blender is life
Wait… @2:58 how did you do ‘Loop Cut & Slide’ to select & delete half the cube. I need to delete part of an oil drum 🛢 to create a Caribbean steelpan musical instrument 🎶😎💫
Click on the cube and press ctrl R.

When I hit "Add Circle", it brings up this entire list of vertices, radius, fill type, etc. how can i fix this?
Thank you for amazing tutorial ! :)
So there is no way to delete everything selected from edit mode?
TYSM
Thank you!
How is it, a free open source application has far superiior tutorials available than the super expensive alternatives?
Thank you!!!
THANK YOU
Oh my god. You press X and confirm with D. X...D
Any reason why the circle doesn't have a face when spawned?
Cool!
hey how to be in edit mode?
Upper left corner click on object mode then you will get a dropdown list, then switch to edit mode.

Yeah, just missed th cup of cafe...
is it possible to add something you have downloaded thats 3d? i wanna add characters from a game to my frame :/

Looking every where for OBJECT delete, till i found i should have been in layout
Does someone else not let them select the bones?
Fix this tutorial! At 1:40 he starts talking about being in "edit mode", but doesn't explain how to get there. I am lost. LOST, DAMMIT.
it says on the screen he presses 'Tab'. he doesn't explicitly say it but its for these instances he put the keystrokes on the screen! :D
its ok i am an advanced user now thanks

i cant delete the block,i keep pressing delete, but its not going away!
why doesn't blender include an eraser tool?
how did you do the loop cut??
how do i add an object on the face of another object
dude for me, mesh is not a choice listed in add... nothing ever works for me!
They found out how a mouse works?
Amazing!
where are the subtitles, my english is bad so i need subtitles
Hm, when I open the "add" tab , the meshes are shown directly, not as a sub menu of other stuff; How comes this?
You are in Edit-Mode. Use [Tab] to get back to Object-Mode. Now the Add menu will look as shown in the video.
How do you delete an object?
Me: Just select and push the Delete key?
Blender: Not happening baby.
Somebody please make a video about that blender donation from epic
