Mariam thank you for being so vulnerable. I’m so sorry that you felt alone and had so many difficulties growing up. I’m also so proud of how much you advocated for yourself and how self- aware you’ve become.
Thank you for using your story to try and end this stigma and encourage others to get help.
You’re an amazing mother and person. May Allah give you every ease!

salaam Mariam I am so sorry to hear your back story and all that you have been through prior and during motherhood. Air hug. Awh and no mat leave. May Allah make it easy. so sorry my love. how are you doing now?
I was never officially diagnosed with postpartum depression but the feeling of numbness and anger were the most apparent. for quite some time. baby born sept 2020 and still struggling weekly.....
I am sure its pmdd ( in process of doctors help) and it gives me comfort to find solutions.
I am also a muslim mom from toronto. i would love to be friends... Motherhood is too hard... hope to see more videos on this topic from you...

I can relate to you on so many levels. Subhanallah. May Allah make it easy for you. Children are a blessing but mothers need the care and help too. Even women without a history of mental health issues can still develop post partum. We need to normalize this and speak more about it, especially in our Muslim communities.
