I am in the UK and spent two weeks hospitalized for Heart Failure...I had better treatment and received more information from The EMS than the doctors. The nurses and hospital staff were exceptional.

Dr. Gupta is a wonderful doctor, and human being. I consulted with him several years ago by phone, and he perfectly helped me understand the heart diagnosis I had, and completely put me at ease, even though I have a serious health condition. Very grateful to him.

Sanjay, your videos are PRICELESS! Doctors do not talk to their patients or explain medical issues the way you do and patients are hungry for information and reassurance. You're exceptionally knowledgeable and gifted with the ability to explain things in a simple way and with compassion. Thank you, Doc, and come to America! We love Indian doctors, especially handsome ones! 💖

I have heart damage from a heart attack almost 30 years ago. In 2012, I had quadruple bypass. My ejection fraction was the same before and after bypass surgery: around 40%. But here’s the deal - I was physically quite active for the 20 years before my bypass, and after the bypass and losing some weight I returned to my favorite form of exercise - cycling. Since then, I have ridden 10,000 miles, up and down hills, averaging about 13-14 mph. I am 72 years old and somewhat overweight. One cardiologist told me that an echocardiogram to check my EF at rest was very low mainly because I have an “athlete’s heart.” Some enlargement of ventricles or other endurance exercise induced changes. I did develop an atrial flutter, which was cured by ablation. I’ve always worried about my very low EF, but my fitness suggests that this may not be a seriously limiting factor.

Dr Gupta as a patient suffering from heart failure which was diagnosed last September I was placed on a medication regime--the usual potions etc . Last week I presented to my cardiologist for my definitive echo which will give my medic information from that echo if indeed I need to proceed to an implant. You explained in both your vids what info my surgeon will derive from my data in the decision for an implant. As a person with some understanding of organ activities etc you have enlightened me and given me an insight of the jargon and presentation of the if, buts and maybe's of the cardio system--the link to respiratory and renal feedback and so on. I was so pleased to see and listen to a medic sat in his office with no smoke or mirrors which are usually found on the American channels and walking me through the biology given by the echo data. Thank you so much for your time which currently in the NHS is in very short supply. Keep doing what you're doing.

How is it going now? I learn I was at 24% about a year ago. Too me feels like once I push my luck I hurt for awhile and feel weaker. However, most of the time I forget about it. The doctors told me mine didn't make sense either right after turning 40 (Bet that is still really old to you, lol.). The keep saying the best case was some kind of virus they aren't naming weakened my heart.

I had a heart failure incident once at the ER this past November and have a pacemaker now and heart medications …still very tired, but starting to walk more and for longer stretches. I’ll do some cardio physical therapy soon too. They aren’t sure why I had the heart failure, possibly a virus, but I do have type 11 diabetes and thyroid problems too, which could have caused my collapse. Anyway, thank you again, I’ve subscribed!

My father passed away 6 months ago while getting treatment from post-myelofibrosis that had converted to AML. He began his decitabine treatment, and 2 weeks in, they called us in to tell us that his heart had been damaged, and it wasn't properly profusing his organs, and that there was nothing they could do. He passed away 2 days later. He was at Barnes Jewish Hospital, and it's a wonderful hospital. I often wonder if there is anything they could have done to treat his heart failure. But I believe that there must have been no options, or they would have at least tried. This video helped explain a lot. Thank you sir.

I always wondered what is the connection between workings of heart and kidneys. Why people with weak heart experience fluid accumulation in different parts of the body. And did not know whom to ask. Answers to these questions are made available here in such a way that even ordinary people can easily understand. Thanks a lot!

On 7/1/22, I was diagnosed w/ non-ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy w/ an EF of 20%. It
has since come up to 31% as a result of taking the kinds of drugs you discuss, in my case, Entresto, Farxiga, Metoprolol, Spironolactone, and Bumetanide. My main cardiologist--I actually have 2, my 2nd cardiologist specializing in CHF--recently added a new drug, Verquvo, to the mix. I found your discussion of the mechanism of the 1st 5 classes of drugs so helpful, along w/ your general discussion of CHF itself, that I was wondering whether you could make a similar video on Verquvo & how it works to extend the lives of patients like myself..
