Well I’m thrilled to see how you pack makeup yet I now feel more neurotic than I already did about my packing strategy. It takes me 4EVER to pack the clothes, shoes and toiletries I typically never end up using - - Vlog style for this was perfect so we can chat thru the logic behind the decisions. We collection is a fraction of this size and I feel like it takes me 10 times longer.
Hi there as an over packer I started to get 2 trays or boxes . I put one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom. 2 weeks before my trip I start putting in the trays what I actually use . This helps you really see what you are Truly using . Good luck I know the struggle is real

I'm moving from Brazil to UK in a few months and I'm struggling SO MUCH with choosing my makeup that I'm going to bring with me, because it's impossible to bring my whole collection, I only have one carry-on bag to dedicate to makeup, so this video is a huge mood to me, Michele! 😂

I know Essence is available there, but I'm not sure about other brands. Also I want some Dior quads, are they available in UK?

Echoing @Chrissy Moss's excellent advice - Boots here in the UK (both online and in larger shops) has an excellent selection of budget, midrange, and high end makeup like Revlon, Benefit, Nars, Fenty, Chanel, and Dior. Selfridges, Liberty, and Harrods all have lots available via their websites too. Superdrug is another place for great budget-friendly makeup. Chrissy is right, Wales is so beautiful!! Enjoyed the video! Do you find Westman Atelier eyeshadow pots to be the best formula for mature eyes that do not like glitter or heavy shimmer? I am willing to splurge on the perfect formula for me. I would love to streamline my makeup packing system. I use a huge clear dopple bag that has multiple compartments so I can see everything. I don't "collect" a lot of makeup but do look for smaller packaging to make it easier to toss things in bag. I love face palettes but its so difficult to find one for tan skin.

I recently got back from my trip and had to pack for everyday, fancy night out AND half a day hiking tour :"D Trust me, even those requirements fit in there and I packed colour, too not just nudes! Your first ever video with this brush book was a holy grail find for me on TH-cam. Now I must eventually get those BK beauty travel brushes, they just look way too neat to not pair them with this bag on a trip! Looking forward to your vlogs from NY :) As a European traveller I would recommend everyone packing makeup in powder or stick format - the NARS base Michele packed would need to go into the separate zippy liquids plastic bag if you only have hand luggage! But the rest (mascara, liquid eyeliner) is not fussed about.

You are so much more ruthless than I am about packing makeup!! I usually end up packing the morning I leave, because I love dramatic eye looks and need so much...MORE! lol. That said, I was rooting for more selection in lip products to help transform looks. 😁

Wish you had done a packing video :P We are going to The Netherlands in a couple of weeks, for my in-laws' 50th anniversary, and although it's only for a week, and a short just over 3 hour flight, this is the first time I'm going on a trip for a week, with just a carry on...arghh...will be challenging, especially because it's still cold in NL in late March, and sweaters take up a lot of room...

Hey Michelle I have a pro packing tip for you as far as makeup is concerned. Instead of foundation take a concealer that has SPF in it that’s your face color, it’s plenty for a short 1-2 week trip even. And you can thin it out or not with your moisturizer or your SPF. I do this and it saves an absolute ton of space. I’ll take all my samples for other skin care products instead of hauling 3 ounces or less and trying to figure all that nonsense out.
@@martelangeland a concealer that matches your skin tone and texture. Oily dry normal? How I came upon this solution was I had a lot of concealers that were too dark for my under eye. if it was summer I would use the ones that were for oily skin on my face and in the winter I would use the ones that were hydrating. They’re very pigment so a little goes a long way. Try it and let us know how it went!
