For cosmetics, I use contact eye cases that have screw on lids, add product and label it. This method takes up less than 5% of the volume of space it takes using products in their original packaging. Also saves on weight. For shampoo, etc fill travel size bottles. HIGHLY portable.
I do the same. It's always a bit of a drill, checking and decanting everything, but I hate checking bags! - I'm cramming all required items into that 311.
Omg that’s the hack I’ve been searching for! I just accepted a job where I’ll be traveling constantly, so I really need this! I was worried about containers with air getting to my sunscreen and foundation 👍🏻👍🏻
@@tammystiletto For foundation I use the tiny tester bottles you get if you ask for a sample of foundation at a department store. If you know your use, contact lens cases work for *most* things. I carry what I need in a pencil case size bag and could travel for 2-6 weeks not running out of what I need, as I only used what I need (most people use too much product per application). I love this method because it's super light, highly portable, saves space. There are slightly larger containers that have snap on lids. Whatever you use, make sure they are built for liquid so you don't have leaks. And label well. I have hair styling balm, bag balm, neosporin for tiny cuts or abrasions (though lanolin or petrolatum), creams, etc. For oils here are mini amber glass bottles you can use for oils, often sold at health food stores that sell essential oils.
The neutrogena body oil is such an amazing product. It comes in BOTH fragranced and frag free, and it's also works as a body "oil cleanser" to remove stubborn body sunscreen!! i use it as a moisturizer after showering as well, it sinks into the skin completely and feels amazing. one of the best products of all time IMO.
I really enjoy your videos. Your recommendations are so informative and I can tell you’re passionate about what you do. The sincerity is definitely there and sometimes, when the day seems a bit too heavy, it’s a nice escape to watch your videos. Thank you Amanda.
Never expected to see the Ayr nasal gel in a beauty video. My mom made me use that since I was a kid, and it works dry nose wonders! 😄 I've been eyeing that Redken leave in conditioner for months, so I think I'll have to buy it now. Have a lovely trip!
Yes the wander beauty eye masks are phenomenal. They plump up my under eye area and its almost like all the fine lines disappear. Of course they come back eventually but still I've yet to find others that are as good.
I got the Triangle Lip Liner and the Glossy Lip Stain because of the last video you mentioned them in and they're fantastic! Wanna pick up some more shades.
Can I just say that I love that you love En Taupe by Beauty Pie as I have loved this product for years + it reaffirms my belief that we have the same makeup tastes haha
This is the video I've been needing! I've been searching and searching for a travel makeup packing kind of video and understandably there haven't been many 😅 but thank you for this! I'm going on a short trip soon and have to figure out how to pack in just a carry on 😬
Thank you for such a great video. Question aren’t lipsticks, solid lip, balms and solid concealer’s all in the not liquid category? In other words, I could put that in a separate make up bag and not the liquid bag?. Thanks for any answer on this
I loved that kiss me mommy spf! I forgot about it - I have so many sunscreens😬but I use the right amount and reapply so I go through them quickly. Need to get that "mommy" sunscreen again!😆
Hi Amanda I am just wondering if your airline has a limit of products you can bring through TSA checkpoints? When I travelled in December the security person almost made me throw out the majority of my products because they said I had to much. The only way he let me through was that I had my 2 kids and husband so I could have more products. Just wondering....
The airlines don’t limit the products, it’s the TSA rule that liquids/gels going through security checkpoints must be limited to containers of 3.4 ounces and all must fit in a quart-size ziploc bag per person. I was hoping this would be for carry-on because I prefer to carry on but struggle to fit all my skincare and makeup!
That kinship cleanser is stripping for me so beware if you might have sensitive or dryer skin. Thanks for the video! Love hearing and seeing your faves/staples. "Why not? It's vacation baby." 😆
I think beside the actual products that they sell, it's also the spa like ambience/experience when it comes to these luxury products hence the heavy scents within some of these products?
Omg, that's a lotta makeup. I would simplify by bringing products that do double or triple duty. One shade of brown that can be used as bronzer, eyeshadow and lips. Powder and setting spray both? Two tinted moisturizers for a week or two, nah! Then once I'd made my selections, packed them up, checked into the lodgings, I'd leave it on the bathroom counter, not bothering to apply it r entire time,? That's just me. Lol. When I'm on vacation and the meter is running I don't want to waste my time in the room when I can spend it outdoors doing and seeing things other than myself in a mirror! I would like to know how much time it takes for you to apply all that from skin care to makeup to out the door, because I suspect you're much faster at it than I am.

Great content, as always. Would you let us know which self tanner you use or maybe even do a video on your tanning routine? would be much appreciated

I love it, too! I add the Fragrance Free version to my bath, and my skin feels soooo soft after. :)
Another oil that’s great that does not have fragrance is almond oil. Love it

I've been waiting so long for you to try the wet n wild tinted hydrator!! I really liked it and thought of you when I first saw the formula 🥰
Yes the wander beauty eye masks are phenomenal. They plump up my under eye area and its almost like all the fine lines disappear. Of course they come back eventually but still I've yet to find others that are as good.
I love the skincare content!!
Great video. The bumble and bumble is the best dry shampoo I've ever used esp for bangs.
I would love to hear what self-tanner you use. I love how I look with a tan but HATE the smell.
That foundation brush is the best, works so well with the Milk Bronzer!! 💖
I got the Triangle Lip Liner and the Glossy Lip Stain because of the last video you mentioned them in and they're fantastic! Wanna pick up some more shades.
PS. The lip colours you choose suit you so well!!
You should try Armani eye tints especially # 44. It is the mist beautiful metallic wet looking liquid eyeshadow I ever used.
Honest curiosity: why bring so many different sunscreens? Do you use them on different parts of your body?
For reusable eye mask try the Dieux one. It is amazing.
I got the Kosas foundation after watching your review and I really love it. I’m so glad I bought it 😊
Can I just say that I love that you love En Taupe by Beauty Pie as I have loved this product for years + it reaffirms my belief that we have the same makeup tastes haha
Omg I needed a dupe Nyx Jumbo pencil in Milk as it is sold out everywhere in the UK, tysm💖

Amanda please advice which is better( flower beauty glaze or rituelle de fille highlihter (poshphene)
Just in time ! Going on a trip soon! Thank you😊
Great products!!! Have you tried to decant them to smaller containers???? I use them so I can bring with me all my toilettries and skin care.
I loved that kiss me mommy spf! I forgot about it - I have so many sunscreens😬but I use the right amount and reapply so I go through them quickly. Need to get that "mommy" sunscreen again!😆
Can you do a video on sunscreen reapplication over makeup?
Wet N Wild has lighter shades on their website for the tinted hydrator

She's probably checking her bag :) In my experience, you can get away with packing quite a bit as long as the bag is checked.
That makes sense! 👍👍🤣

Thank you for answering the question about the shimmer in the saie powder 🤗
That kinship cleanser is stripping for me so beware if you might have sensitive or dryer skin.

"Why not? It's vacation baby." 😆
Enjoy your vacation 🙌🏻💞
An Amanda video in HLP overhead style? Yes please
Yesss such good choices 🙌
Have a great trip!
Have fun!!
Idk if you know this but the Saie does look shimmery in the sun!
Ahhh I loved this! ❤️ so fun packing yet so stressful 🤓
Don't forget spf lip balm! :)
Hiii! The beauty pie code is invalid I don’t know why 😪😪
I've never understood women pack foundation they barely use on the regular for travelling, it's such a gamble lol as base is the most important step!
Is the Charlotte tilbury airbrush setting spray dry skin friendly? Is it as drying as the urban decay one?
Also curious about this 😊
Yes in my experience it is dry skin friendly. No alcohol in CT spray 😊 and one of the reasons I think it works so well for me. Hope this helps 😊
@@saragray1453 thank you! x
yessssss
I wish I didn't dislike the scent of the Charlotte Tilbury Setting spray. I don't know why so many luxury brands have strong scents.

Don't forget to take a hairbrush! :)
