Great job thrifting adventure, Scott! I have to make it to the Maple Shade GW. When the Cardiff GW closed in January 2024 and reopened on May 2, due to some nut case trying to set the whole store on fire! I called the GW Corporate Office trying to find out the date of reopening. We all need to give their Corporate Office a Shout out, everyone was great! Thank you GW for your professional staff deal with remodeling the Cardiff GW, and taking care of the Staff. We always hear bad things at GW, but dealing with tragic situation in Cardiff, GW did a remarkable job! 👏👏👏👏. Thanks again Scott for going to the Maple Shade GW, it gave me an opportunity to get some Positivity out in our Universe 👏🎉👏 Enjoy your Memorial Day, and thank all the Veterans for their Service.
It is always fun and exciting to see a video from the old curiosity shop!! thank you for taking me along🎉Philly and Jersey thrift stores rock❤ Delco good will stores are dismal. Happy Memorial Day weekend 🇺🇸
My grandmother had the iris glasses and would serve us grandchildren strawberry floats in them as a special treat. Strawberry pop with vanilla ice cream. Such happy happy memories with siblings and cousins.
I think for Christmas you could fill the decanter with crème de menthe, put vanilla ice cream in the small glasses and serve a seasonally colored dessert.
I love the eclectic mix of items at Philly AIDS store; very artistic and intentional placement of items. Pillsbury boy in cage made my day. Bill the banker handsome gent.
Scott, because of you I was able to strike up a conversation with a lovely lady at a local Goodwill. I heard her say “Fostoria” so I knew she knew her stuff. We helped each other! We both watch you! ❤️
There is another woman on TH-cam that thrifts and resells. She is stalked by the Penguin Cooler! It looks like a Chrome bowling ball, but when you get close up you see the penguins marching around the middle. i have started spotting them in her videos myself! I guess everyone has something! Love your videos-so informative and entertaining! Thanks!
I have a whole collection of Wexford items because it seemed to be the only glassware my dad couldn't break. He was no longer allowed to touch my mom's Fostoria Chintz.
the iris and herringbone is one of my favorites no matter color. Remember tea, as a kid, in summer in marigold at lunch when we had no air conditioning in Oklahoma
Thank you, Scott, for bringing us along! I enjoy these so much - get to go thrifting in Philly from my home in TN. I also was thrilled I actually got to see the real "South Street" the other day, from the infamous song! So appreciate you!! God Bless. ❤
I love the old hankies. You can't find them in the stores anymore. They went the way of white gloves and hats, I guess. My mother used to shove a hankie in my pocket as I went out the door to school when I was a little kid. I have seen where women have made quilts out of old hankies. They are really beautiful. I have a nice collection of hankies myself. I could only find them in the antiques stores. They want $5 apiece for them!
That napkin holder I think had salt and pepper shakers, not candles, although that's what they look like. My favorite dish pattern is blue willow. Great haul Mr. Scott.
Beautiful finds this hunt Scott, I’m partial to the black centre handled canapé trays, and the lotus bowl. (I have a small black three footed glass with a silver spoon, that I use to carry incense blends for use on charcoal discs to freshen the air of a sick room). It is of a size to serve as a salt cellar with my set of black dinner service. The iris and herringbone water tumblers in crystal would make an attractive set with the right dishes for an alfresco luncheon service, and a black or burgundy tablecloth and napkins. Thank you for sharing your shopping with us.🖤🇨🇦
I really like the Iris pattern in crystal. Particularly on the vertical pieces. I think of those tumblers as Ice Teas. Very nice, there's a great pitcher too. I've always purchased orphaned cream and sugars, and shakers. It makes in interesting display. The orphans are usually less than half what pairs sell for, when I started collecting that was important. And over the years I've matched many sets. Plus some unusual marriages, same pattern, different colors. Same color and size but different patterns, same blanks with different etchings. It's fun for me. Iris is one pair I matched up. You see such great stuff.
Great haul Scott! Love the liquor decanter, and black glass pieces! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! If you go to GW on Monday, don't forget to use the 20% off coupon, just got the text. 🥰
I found one of the dispensers without the tray or cups. I still bought it, but I'm not sure it's as old. The handle is a flat round disc and the plastic doesn't feel like bake. Did they make these, or reproduce, them later?
Another great video Scott. Thank you. What was the barley twist that we didn't see? My whole house. Is barley twist and the aluminum? Napkin holder comes with salt and pepper. We just sold them at 1 Of my estate sales. Thanks again.Scott excellent video
My mom And Dad received that spring loaded decanter . From what I recall she shot glasses came with different jewel tone bans around them. That was in 1956 .
Saw a very large black border on your new video...first thought was "who died,?" Isnt that the way , in days gone by they used to announce a death...black border?
Yes, there is a rather large unwanted black border around today’s video. Time to hire a new film editor! 😈
I like it! 😉
I'm available! 🤣
I just enlarged the video....haaahaaa
Same. It made it a little fuzzy but it was fine.
I’m going to say the aluminum napkin holder flowers probably held a small salt and pepper set not candles.
That was my thought as well.
I was thinking the same thing
I thought salt and pepper shakers too.
Yup!
Same here!
Great job thrifting adventure, Scott!

I like aluminum pieces....probably a salt and pepper shaker went next to the napkin holder. I love riding along as you drive through Philly.
Bruh (🤣), I was just doom scrolling and came across the title here and I was like “yes! Yes I do!!” Excited to smile! Thanks! 😊
Best intro ever 😊🦆🪿❤

This shopping trip was the perfect way to start my Friday. Never a boring time with you, Scott! Thanks for the fun. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Just soak the linens in your sink in cool water with Oxy or 20 Mule team.👍
Love the Agro Agate!!!
I love the eclectic mix of items at Philly AIDS store; very artistic and intentional placement of items. Pillsbury boy in cage made my day. Bill the banker handsome gent.
I love watching as you drive thru Philly, I feel like a kid riding with parents through towns in PA
Good morning from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. What wonderful things you have shown us today!
Aaaahhhhhh!!!! The mug!! The “Gangsta Wrapper”!! I have a Christmas goodie that says that 🤣🤣🤣 I love a good play on words
Pollen is so thick in the air today 🤧 here on Cape Cod... brutal. I wanted to go to tag sales and will need to shop inside today.
Hello to a fellow Cape Codder!!
The black glass tidbit tray, is quite a nice size!!! Tough to find it in black!!! Well done!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Scott, because of you I was able to strike up a conversation with a lovely lady at a local Goodwill. I heard her say “Fostoria” so I knew she knew her stuff. We helped each other!
We both watch you! ❤️
Oh my. The painting of the 1920/30 lady was interesting.
Love the driving music on your way to Philly AIDS! Light! Fun!
Always a pleasure Scott! 😉🕊️🇺🇸
We had a similar goose experience in our town this morning😂😂😂

Oh yes that cooler haunts me too! 🤨
I laughed out loud when you said you stuck the long straw up your nose. You're always so spontaneously amusing, Scott. ❤😂
Hah, the Carnival Glass flower bowl was made by Indiana Glass, Mid-Century, common.🤗
Exactly why I left it right where it was! 😍
That picture of the man on the bike looked just like you!
I have a whole collection of Wexford items because it seemed to be the only glassware my dad couldn't break. He was no longer allowed to touch my mom's Fostoria Chintz.
I’m still stuck back at mama eu quero… for M ❤ I’m going to have Carmen Miranda dancing 💃🏻 through my musical theme all day.
You keep finding so many nice older things.
Yay! Salem got big again! I think the napkin holder's roses held small salt and pepper shakers. My two cents. Peace and Blessings everyone 🌻

Love your in store videos!
Barely twist what?!?! 😳
And I 100% know this feeling

Unbelievable the antique items in your thrift stores. Worth planning a vacation there, just to thrift. 😊
Yes I wanna go
Beautiful yellow sofa. Too formal for my taste but a great price for someone!

Silly boy, it is for napkins and a salt and pepper shaker! LOL.

Love seeing the neighborhoods!!
Maybe the "metal thing" was a combo napkin holder/ salt and pepper holder?
Napkin holder/ salt and pepper combo!
I found a cobalt blue hen on a nest. My jaw dropped when I saw it.
Napkin and salt and pepper, silly. 😂
I've never seen the glasses in clear only Marigold
Heck yah, Love shopping with you anytime 🤗
21:24 Blenko water jug Amethyst
Yup
Thanks Scott, that was a fun trip...❤

Napkin holder and salt & Pepper holder.
Thanks for taking us shopping with you, Scott, it is always fun with you.
Those plates look like Fostoria Fairfax in Topaz to me.
👍👋🙌
Philadelphia looks more alive than Los Angeles does, hardly any boarded up storefronts.
The border is not bad, cool video. I love antique/ vintage shopping but most of the time I don't know what I am looking at.
I know you left the more recent Blenko square water bottle behind around 21:35. But darn those are harder to come by in Nebraska!
Yes I’ve sold half a dozen in the past. I usually leave Blenko to other thrifters.
I found one of the dispensers without the tray or cups. I still bought it, but I'm not sure it's as old. The handle is a flat round disc and the plastic doesn't feel like bake. Did they make these, or reproduce, them later?

Barley Twist?
At stamp #21:45 there was a glass water carafe in a maroon is color. Google it , might sell for about $50.
Yes, I’m very familiar with it and it is the common Blenko refrigerator water jug. 😊
My mom And Dad received that spring loaded decanter . From what I recall she shot glasses came with different jewel tone bans around them. That was in 1956 .
I think it was a napkin holder with salt and pepper holder
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww
napkin/salt and pepper
Set the Doughboy free!!!
Saw a very large black border on your new video...first thought was "who died,?"
Isnt that the way , in days gone by they used to announce a death...black border?
