    Bernard just needs to blow Maeve like an old N64 cartridge and we'll be good to go! Hit me with those theories below and what you think of the season so far.

      the more I watch this season the more I'm convinced Christina and Maya are in FUTUREWORLD - this season (and much of last season) seems to be revisiting many of the themes and storylines from that movie - and that shot of Charlotte inside The Tower with a map of New York in the centre, just like the map of Westworld, speaks volumes...

      Thanks for the clarifications, I always check to make sure I’m not missing something.
      This episode felt almost like a season finale! It filled in some gaps from the prior episodes but still leaves many things unexplained as it should.
      I think Bernard has basically met with some sort of resistance and Maeve will play a key role in the season - as she should because her talents as an actor and her character in the show is in my opinion indispensable.
      Not quite sure why Hale is working on a fidelity test, unless she’s partnered with an important human that has made a bargain with her that he or she won’t turn into a host. Or maybe I’m completely wrong here.
      I do like how it cleared up to me that we are watching scenes that are 23 years apart from each other, which is an easier way to understand alternate timeline.
      However, this is Westworld and rarely are things that simple, and nothing is what is seems!

      @@bobbyCruiser I think they want Caleb to lure C out of hiding. If she's a resistance leader, and she's really only looking for Caleb, having a copy of him will get her to show up for a trap, certainly, or at the very least, use him as a mole.

    Another guess of mine: in the "New New York" some host are living amongst the infected humans, one of them is Christina.
    She is 100% a copy of Dolores, an homage if you want, made by Halores to tribute her former self.
    The intresting thing is the role those hosts have: like the company name Olympiad suggests they're empowered with Gods powers. Christina can create narratives for humans as much as human created narratives for them back in the park. This is maybe why Olympiad logo is just a mirror reflection of Delos'

      It also explains the suicide that was stalking Christina. He was clearly aware of her control, it's just she thinks she's just writing videogame stories. It also explains why her boss wants more violent stories, they're definitely trying to do to humans what was done to them. What an episode!

    Theory about Christina: When Serac copied Dolores's memories into Rehoboam in S3 and erased them in Dolores herself, the process erased her memories but not her core programming. She was still alive, just without access to her long experiential track. Flash forward and I think Christina is that Dolores - basic program, personality, sweetness, naivete - the farm girl transferred into a job in New New York. Not sure who would have done this. Maybe Maeve most likely. At some point, Christina will either be able to access those lost memories or someone will restore her. Maybe Teddy is the one to do that - depending on who Teddy really is in S4 and who sent him to find Dolores/Christina.

      For me Christina/Dolores is the biggest mystery this season because no matter how I come at the situation things don't make sense. Lets observe your theory that Maeve planted Dolores in this future NY. Dolores works though in the headquarters building that Charlotte is working in as we see Caleb run out of the exact same building. Because of this we can assume Charlotte knows about Dolores so why would she keep her in the city? The second theory is that Charlotte placed Dolores here but again the question is why? She knows what Dolores is capable of and I don't see Charlotte taking the risk of Dolores again breaking the loop and rebelling. Then there's Teddy. Was he sent by the resistance forces to break Dolores out of her loop or was he made by Charlotte to keep Dolores in her loop? The rest of the season regarding Caleb, and Franky, and Bernard I've been able to figure out along the way but this part has me stumped at the moment.

    • @RockneOliver
      @RockneOliver 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    From what I see Hail goal is vengeance.
    What christina doing is either
    1.she is programmed by Hail to create a new host to be born and propagate this new world , a key to awaken host is suffering but i doubt this option
    2.making a story of how a human will suffer. All host are now deciding how to play human in a story of their choosing just like how human play and kill host in the park like a toy. Her manager nudge her into more violent story because of Hail want to make human suffer and slowly die off.
    But christina like dolores doesn’t choose vengeance but choose to see the beauty and trying to escape her loop. It possible that she is also reawaken and a memory of Cole? from the past before Hail completely take over is overlap just like the first season. The wound on her arm is either illusion or her roommate somehow cut her since all human are now seem to be accompany a host to help them go out and have a social life(awake?).
    I’m not sure why Hail remade Dolores it could be she want her to live in this world where they win or she trying to find the key to unlock robot paradise, for that she need dolores to come back.
    But then why continue this fidelity project?
    Oh god, is this I have no mouth and i must scream…

    I think that we're going to see that just because it's a synthetic world with more control, it's still one that stems from our current one, and thus still has things like capitalism and class issues. This leads into my theory about Christina and Teddy. I think Teddy might be an executive at Olympiad/Delos a la Christina's employer. This would be how he could have access to his previous identity and what the maze means or his apparent awakening from a daily grind. Still confused about Christina's role in Peter's death and and the timeline is still muddy for me, but I like this season SO much more than season 3 and a lot more than season 2.

    Also, did everyone just forget about host William walking into the forge in the post credits of season 2 where he sees his daughter Emily but she’s obviously a host? It’s clear that takes place WAY in the future, but how does season 4’s host William go from knowing he’s a host and working for Hale to being lost in his park memories thinking he’s a human who’s shocked to discover he’s been a host all along? It could be a different later copy of him I guess? The parallel between Hale telling host Caleb that he’s a fidelity test, and host Emily telling William he’s a fidelity test… it seems like it’s going to tie into this season but where and how? Like, after all that time they’re still trying to turn humans to hosts? Was simply controlling humans with flies not enough? The hosts just want to turn every human into a host too? 😂

If guns in west world can't harm humans she should have been surprised when he went down? Why did she even try to shoot him becauce she presumed him to be human up to that point? I'm thinking she shot him with Calebs real gun and I missed it? @elon_ma 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      S2: Dolores turns into Charlotte, then goes to the real world and brings with her a few copies of herself along with Bernard's copy (5 balls in total). Charlotte/Dolores makes a copy of Dolores as well as brings Bernard back. And she had access to a clone making machine so she could rebuild Charlotte, I don't remember why but yeah.

    • @kash3548
      @kash3548 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Charlotte leaving the park was Dolores. she smuggled out six pearls with her. One (i’d just one) is definitely Bernard. I think she rebuilt Bernard and asked him to make a copy of Dolores host and transplant her pearl to the new body. in the process, Charlotte’s host body is destroyed (because they had to extract her pearl). so new Dolores needs to rebuild Charlotte’s body and implant a copy of her pearl inside Charlores to pose as Delos CEO. That’s why Charlores got corrupted because she isn’t OG Dolores but a copy… the definition of “generation lost”. Her experience as “Charlotte” has deviated her from Dolores. The copy always lost something in the process….

    Okay so hear me out. Clearly Hale is one of the most aware characters in this show and I feel like we don’t give her enough credit. She is the embodiment of Delores’ dark side, or at least that’s what most people say these days. I don’t know if I necessarily buy it. I think that Christina is a host created by Hale (or Delores) that is the true “outlier”. I believe that Hale gave Christina actual free will so that the decision of humanity is in her hands. We have been getting subtle foreshadowing on this “decision” that Christina will have to choose between “white or black”, “good or evil”, or “life or death”. Christina is the embodiment of Delores’ innocence. Hale created Christina so that the decision will be made from an unbiased perspective giving Christina the ability to chose for the OG Delores: do we keep humanity in chains, or do we set them free? Hale knows she’s in no position or authority to make that decision, hence why the creation of Christina. I also believe that Arnold foresaw all of the events that we have seen so far unfold. I really think Arnold is still the mastermind in all of this, and that even though he died early, Bernard is still rooted in all of Arnold’s motives. Arnold just wanted AI and humanity to live together in peace, and I see Bernard as the guy who will carry that out. If you have any counters or ideas to add, please respond - i’m really trying to formulate a well thought out theory for the entire show before the end of season 4.

      No she’s in the present time of New New York. Her roommate mentions the “dream” of her and her parents being swarmed by flies when she was a child, which would be about 20 years in the past since she looks like she’s in her late 20s or early 30s. Christina is a host that unknowingly creates the stories for the humans’ fate, which is why her boss pushes her for more violence, because this is what Hale wants: suffering. The man that attacked her was an outlier and aware of her ability, who she cast aside as a deranged stalker, but that story was written decades ago, and you see this in the abandoned hospital named after the same man who shared the same fate 20 years ago, that had sketches of the tower. The homeless man also mentions the tower and the dead birds the masses can’t see(but Christina did briefly). Charlotte’s world is nearly perfect, but there are defects which is why she keeps going through this fidelity test with “Caleb” to have true subservience.

The way he references season 1 a bunch, and how when he meets “Christina,” he says “just trying to act chivalrous.” He knows that Christina is Delores and maybe he’s saying all of these things to try and jog her memory, not like he’s programmed to say them anymore. Also, he definitely drew the maze on her balcony in episode 1, so he has to be fully sentient/conscious and is trying to help break her out of her loop so she can remember who she is and maybe help fight Charlotte? I don't believe Halores has the goal of eradicating humanity...ONLY subjugating it to prune away humanity's violent impulses (violent delights). William is an exceptionally violent human being representing the worst impulses of humanity. Hale kept him around for the purpose of understanding this aspect of humanity and somehow attempting to cull this from the subsequent crops of humanity. Said differently, Delores saw the beauty in this world, in both Humans and Hosts. Hale ONLY sees the ugliness and is attempting to "clean" that aspect from humanity.
      WW has a penchant for portraying people as villains and then flipping that narrative in a clever way. The best example is Delores prime from S2 through the end of S3. I think in some ways Halores has motives that are not entirely sadistic.
