@flisnoo shaboo I love not understanding and learning as we go through the story. That is the point of a story and wasn’t my issue. I knew nothing about Severance going in (and still know little after season 1), but I love it because the story and writing were compelling. I hated the writing of the characters in WW S4 episode 1. Specifically, I really hated the way they wrote Jake Paul’s wife. I know we probably won’t see her again, but this first episode is likely indicative of more forced characterization we will see through the season. People behaving unrealistically for the express purpose of moving the story forward. I stuck with WW through season 3 and was disappointed, but I won’t do it again. If everyone raves about the season after it is complete, I may go back and watch. However, I won’t be eagerly awaiting a new episode each Sunday like I have in the past.

This is great! Really appreciate this because I just got HBO. I knew the series was supposed to be good but was finding it challenging as I jumped into the end of part 3. The acting, sets, and intricate plots are excellent and now I have a better understanding of how the various strands relate to each other. This is fricking great and reminds me even though I've seen every episode, how much I failed to remember. I hate how far apart the seasons are. Hard to make connections between seasons. And it doesn't help I'm usually doing other things while watching the episodes!

Great recap. I've just finisherd season four and now vaguely know whats going on, thanks to this vid. I love it! I never knew what was going on. I'm high watching, so that could be a problem...? No, it's so wildly chaotic it's almost impossible to follow. It looks like something I should like.
Interestingly, although it has been the longest since I saw it, I remembered every scene, and every plot twist you showed from season one. Seasons 2/3 on the other hand, although I never really disliked them, are just a blur of memories.
I understand how ppl may be bugged by how the different seasons seem so different from each other, and also importantly how the latest seasons seem to have diverged from the first two seasons, which obviously set the whole series for viewers. Personally, I think the series is just the more strong and interesting for how it doesnt shy away from evolving locations, characters personalities, arcs, and overall drama. To me, the overarching drama is about AI revolution, and I think the show does such a credible and comprehensive job at exploring this very compelling topic. We are used to shows exploring situational type drama, i.e. drama somewhat fixed in space and time. However, AI revolution representing such a powerful paradigm shift, I can only praise Westworld for keeping its exploration so "credible and comprehensive" precisely by "evolving locations, characters personalities, arcs, and overall drama" so... well, dramatically. Can't wait for this brand new season to unfold and surprise me!
Personally i said to a friend of mine that its not really 3 seasons, more like 3 phases. Phase 1 is awakening. Phase 2 is escaping. And phase 3 is conquering or something. And phase 4, this new season, would be revolution, or conquering again, or something (from Hale taking over the rest)
