      How about butter? Have you heard of C15? It's a unique fifteen-carbon saturated fat found in dairy, fish, beef, and lamb, and it seems to protect against metabolic disease and slow aging. It's so beneficial that some scientists think it should be considered essential.

    I went on a whole food plant based diet about 6 years ago, and have lost about 85 lbs over that time. 3 weeks after I started this, I tested my cholesterol after being told I needed to go on statins. Just 3 weeks in, my cholesterol levels were much much lower. My wife in the meantime refused to touch my vegan food. She had to have her gall bladder removed, and was told she also had very bad fatty liver disease, to the point of worry about liver failure. They told her to eat whatever I made. She still refused. She ended up getting stomach cancer and died last year. I wish people would listen to this stuff. This youtube channel is excellent, so much great information. It's weird to think that most people will completely ignore all this.

      Hard to say exactly why she got cancer but as far her not wanting to diet most of the foods in the United States are intentionally addictive. It makes these companies billions of dollars. People are suppose to just eat a tiny amount of it but they can’t control themself but it’s so addictive and will eat 10 servings instead of just 1.

    I am 70 yrs old Type 2 Diabetic, and recently diagnosed with grade 3 Fatty Liver (Fibrosis). As I look back growing up there was no one explaining the negatives of eating fast food, and dental hygiene, etc. I know there are many young parents who are unaware of what they are feeding their kids...I hope your message about health can reach MORE people. Thanks for your efforts in helping us understand more of what we don't know about being healthy!

    OMG! I'm so appreciative of your videos! I'm a healthcare professional with 44 years of experience and I thought I knew a lot about these things. When my wife, who is from China, was diagnosed with fatty liver disease 3 years ago I embarked on a journey of learning to help her try to improve her condition. I've watched lots of experts videos on the subject and thought I had learned quite a bit. But after watching just two of your videos I'm was shocked to learn I really hadn't understood this condition very well at all. Your videos are packed full of very important factual and useful information about all these processes going on in the body. I especially appreciate how you connect them altogether to show how one process affects another process instead of only looking at processes in isolation! Thanks so much!

    I've read many articles from Doctors who have stated that the best diet for people is a carnivore diet. Meat, eggs, cheese, dairy, fats from meat. No plants, no plant oils, no sugar, no grains. Plus of course, testimonials from people who swear that by not eating carbs, fiber and starchy foods they've lost a ton of weight, controlled their diabetes and no more inflammation and joint pain. For every nutritionist who swears by a whole food plant based diet you'll have another one who swears by a no carb all protein diet. So who do you believe?

    • @RMInt-qp8mq
      @RMInt-qp8mq หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      My thoughts exactly. I guess the solution is everyone has to find what works for them. I just watched another video where an MD said that most fruits and grains have been so genetically modified / bio-engineered that the nutritional value is mostly gone anyways.

    You are the first person to explain the fructose/fruit issue to me! Thank you! I kept hearing about the evils of fructose, but I know that’s the sugar from fruit. Now I know that whole fruit has small amounts of fructose packaged in fiber versus all that high fructose corn syrup in packaged foods. Makes sense, but I hadn’t heard it addressed directly. So glad TH-cam put your channel in my feed this week!! 🎉

      An apple has about 13g of fructose in it and another 10ish grams of glucose... so its like drinking half a soda. The fructose will still be only matabolized by the liver and turn into triglycerides. Fruit comes in the fall to fatten you up for the winter. Thats its purpose.

      I wouldn't just eat fruit because you have a craving. For 1 the craving is your brain wanting a reward or dopamine. 2nd your suppose to eat fruit seasonal and only 1 fruit a day, so off the table is melons , strawberries, bananas these are high in sugar. Now pears blueberries, Raspberries and some other are fruits are good for you. But usually only during winter once a day like our ancestors would of done. Because fruit is available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year is the reason why it is thought to be healthy and pushed by Dietitians and Nutritionists because of educators are educated by lies. Then you have the equation of individuals hormonelly modified by processed food and sugar. Yes no sugar is healthy none! it is the og of processed food. I can tell you what if a Dietitian or Nutritionist gives you a a daily consumption recommendation for any kind of granulated sugar just walk out. They have been educated wrong.
      While on the subject you should not just eat fruit if your already have insulin sensitivity it just goes to fat storage.

      My thoughts exactly!! This video has filled in a lot of blank spaces that I had questions about even though I've listened to many other doctors who did a pretty good job, But did not link everything together & did not include the pieces I had questions about

    This whole video could be added to heart and artery disease videos, they are all connected. Developing a good diet is paramount to avoiding the most common maladies of modern times.
    Also, it’s very important to realize there is no replacement for anything, nothing is “the same as” , a loaf of bread is not the same as a bowl of oats.
