Loved this! ❤ I think it’s good to remember that we probably already have something in our closet that works. I love wearing jeans with something sparkly. I have a burgundy red sequin top and dangling earrings that I wear with my jeans every year during the holidays. I also like wearing a leather skirt with a red or black cashmere sweater. Very basic but I feel that leather elevates things. Thanks for these ideas Nancy! 😊
So many great outfit choices for the holidays...very hard to choose...it all depends on the specific holiday event...i really liked the 1st one with the lbd and the one with the red pants an white button up shirt👍🏻
What a great selection of choices! Well done. I once shopped at the last minute for something to wear to our company Christmas party. I bought a blouse and skirt in gold lame on sale. Best spur of the moment choice ever! I felt like a million dollars and got lots of wear from it.
I usually wear dress black pants with black booties and either a red or green top and then I have earrings that are gold bows with the bow part is red and a Christmas pin on my coat and gold bracelets. I just bought a long sleeved red top with gold ball buttons on cuff and small v-neck and a green top with sparkly thread throughout with 3 “rhinestone” buttons at the very-neck and a lightweight pullover sweater with cream base and tan leaf print at JCPenney. I’m all set for the holidays and Xmas party at work😊
Great video. I’m going to a few house parties for the holidays. I live in South Florida so it’s challenging to get the right look. I thought this was helpful.
These are all really, really good ideas - very accessible. I'm thinking I "need" a gold lame shirt for the annual New Year's Eve party with our best friends - already have the black jeans and everything else on hand! It's fun to have a few special things.
My closet is 95% thrifted premium quality and brands, I have a few pieces that I fall back on each year. My 30 year old silk simple sweater with metallic threads but no embellishments is my go to, wore it to a wedding with a thrifted satin pleated skirt and suede boots back in late October. I think it’s really important to have pieces that are “special”, that can be incorporated all year into outfits with high contrast, dressy and casual make a great juxtaposition.
what great ideas. I like the event suggestions and the accessories ideas Was trying to build holiday outfits from my closet and this helps me greatly TY❤
I love the crazy sweaters for occasions like crafts with kids, decorating the tree or baking cookies with family or friends and with crazy hats to go caroling. I love all the outfits you suggested and here are a couple of suggestions Noone ever talks about: 1. Contrast against back ground: lots of decor created a lot of background patterns that would contrast with solid rich colors in an outfit-- like that long knit dress 2. Lighting: tree lights and chandeliers reflect well on sequins, satins, velvets and patents and bright reds look great in warm interior lighting 3. Outerwear: like keeping your coat with you at a concert or restaurant; it's all parts of your outfit. 4. What you carry is part of your outfit: totes, presents, purse, food containers; avoid adding another new pattern in outfits plus every type of thing that you carry. Too much unrelated visual competition!
All great ideas. I really liked the gold lame shirt. It’s out of stock. So I have other things to wear. I’ll be at home when my family comes to visit. I really liked all of the items you shared.

Great video and just what I needed for casual, slightly upscale Christmas party outfits with items I already have!
