    - "Only shooting stars..." (on the asteroid that just passed us this week, clearly a Hank video)
    - "what a concept" (John doing an anthropocene reviewed except on vlogbrothers)
    - "Get paid" (on work-from home jobs and how they might change the future of the economy)
    - "taking the back streets" (thoughts from a neighborhood walk?)
    - "They don't stop coming" (John vs the bugs in his garden)
    - "Your head gets dumb" (so many possibilities I can't even)

Visitors are encouraged to bring spray paint to decorate them. We visited in January, it was so cold and windy that we shivering. Us and a few other brave roadtrippers stuck it out. We left our mark with teal spray paint hearts and swirls. It’s not a memory I’ll soon forget.

I just finished reading All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. And in the book the main characters wander to the greatest places in Indiana ( according to them) and one of their wanders was the largest ball of paint. So thank you hank for letting me glimpse a part of a book that I will most likely never see physically in my life but through literary arts has broken my heart in half nearly forty five times.

That old guy reminded me of this guy who painted a ton of novelty toilet seats and kept them all in his garage in San Antonio and you could go look at them, just someone who’s committed their life more or less to doing something odd and sharing it with people, I love that

I'm pretty sure I've driven along half of those roads on my way to or from college which is a little north of Muncie and never even known I was that close to the world's largest ball of paint.

I went to the University of Guelph, which has a tradition of painting a cannon cemented in the ground. It is painted almost daily by anyone willing to guard it overnight and has been since the 1950s. An art student in 2011 was allowed to chip the paint off as a project and it was amazing to see the cross section from sixty years of paint and the details of the metal buried long ago under the layers of paint.

It is indeed a good time for a video about places. I think I might revisit my roadtrip photo albums, too. Heck, maybe we'll go out for a drive in the good weather soon, making sure to keep the car at least 6 ft. apart from all other cars (and people).

Mike is an Extra in John's story, Hank is an extra in the 3 other travelers' story but for one ball-painting moment, they had a beautiful crossover episode.
Love the orbit analogy. If they keep adding paint, it won't be an analogy anymore, technically.
I love that mini docs about nothing are never about nothing.

This reminds me of The Cannon at the University of Guelph. It's been painted over hundreds of times for different occasions, rivalries, and celebrations. A few years ago it was stripped completely as part of an art project, but I think it would be amazing to see a cross section, like the layers of a jaw breaker.
