Hey great video man! I have a question… I have a game in a couple of weeks and I have noticed that I have been slowly developing a flinch. The shots I am facing are not very fast by any means so I don’t know what is up and I want to stop it in its tracks before the problem escalates. Any tips?

Have you recently been hit high and hurt?
The advice that I give my goaltenders is an old school technique: As you face shooters coming in, tighten your shoulders in towards your neck. It gives you a feeling of comfort and protection when you do this, and helps you better keep your eyes open on the shot.
Another simple way, is to just totally focus on watching the puck into your body when it shot at you. This helps you keep your eyes open and stay laser focused on its trajectory.

@@GoKnightsGo1 That's great! For tracking pucks, focus on following it all the way into your body and drive your chin downward toward the puck on every shot. Focusing on your chin to the puck will help bring your eyes to it as well. Anymore questions, don't hesitate to email me at coachaustin@thementalgoalieschool.com
