THIS IS SO COOL! I love how fluid Poseidon's form is- one minute he's a horse, the next he's huge and imposing, the next he's the size of a regular person who collapses into a wave. It's so perfect for the god of the ocean- something that's always changing. The memories of the people he loves at the end was so good too! Aaah this was incredible!

Honestly, I think he was even apologizing to Poseidon out of despair and grief. Odysseus knew he got bold when he blinded Polyphemus and revealed his name as mockery and unlike "Ruthlessness" he's sincerely asking for Poseidon's mercy. Even Poseidon stares at him with a dull look saying "I can't (let go)". Don't know, it kinda sounds like even Poseidon has grown tired of this and acknowledged Odysseus' despair but really can't bring himself to let him walk away. What do you think, man?

THIS WAS SO FREAKING COOL! The clarity into detail, the unique take of Poseidon SLAMMING into his boat and Odysseus holding on for dear life, praying to him when he appeals, remembering Polites ALSO ALSO ALSO The ending sequence!!! That was SO heartbreakingly warm, holy hells! GREAT JOB! 🌊💙🌊
Poseidon: Get in the water! Also Poseison: literally slams raft with Ody on it but doesn't hold him down to drown. Shoots a jet of water at Ody's face that could've decapitated him but it only wets him. Picks him up with his bare hand and could've crushed Ody and the raft but grabbed his face in a second of fanservice then threw him. All the times to drown Odysseus but instead toys with him until he actually does attempt to drown him but its too late because Odysseus's memories triggered the willpower and urge to live and indirectly make him the very thing the Sea God's been taunting him with. The same thing happened with Death when he tries killing Puss, he whistles that chilling song while hunting him down until Puss has a final moment flashback of those he loves and met along the way that kept him from giving up and fight. Both entities are the same in a way their arrogance was their undoing 😂😂😂😂
Its exactly that ! I wanted poseidon to toy with him and make him feel hopeless. I know that to him its a greater victory if ody obeys and gets in the water. It would mean he ultimately lost and admits it

Ive watched and re-watched this quite a few times and every single time it gets to the point Odysseus becomes Polites for a moment and shows his bandana glowing I start crying. Shows all that Odysseus has lost, including himself, but that there's still a glimmer of Polites' good in Odysseus. The ending showing Polites again, Eurylochus, Penelope and everyone else Odysseus has lost hits like an entire planet on how well sung and animated this is. Well done.
"TW:Horror" And I said: Promise? I love when animators make the gods scary. The moment I saw the visual of Telemachus I knew this was something special. The nightmare horse form (the entire transformation really), how the sea and visually everything shakes at 0:08, the use of lighting on Poseidon's giant face at 0:40, the flash of an obscured face with realistic eyes at 0:54 that definitely feels inspired by modern internet horror, it all works great. Love the vision, really.

This whole animatic is amazing because poseidon is so scary throughout, his body morphing and shifting, but i think my favorite part was when he sidles up to Odysseus with the line "the world forgets im cold"
And his face is suddenly black and all in shadow with only his eyes and it was DISGUSTING /pos
