2007 Acura TL Type S
Complaint: Check engine light on
Cause: P0443 Evap Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction
Quick and easy to follow vid on how to test your evap purge control valve. The test consist of testing for power and ground, and then manually power up the solenoid. For this situation I found the evap purge control valve to be at faulty.....there's an open internally. The fix is to replace the valve with a new one. There will be a part 2 confirming the fix after replacing the valve.

Have a 99 TL with P1456 code. I assume the Evap Purge Control Valve is located at the same place? I already replaced the canister vent valve and gas cap. Thanks for a great video.

Which model power probe do you use? Can I do the same tests with a regular multi meter?

my 06 tl has a high pitch whistling noise, i changed my pcv valve bc it was clogged but it didnt help. when i pull out the dipstick it releases alot of pressure tho, any ideas?

+jason gonzalez pulling the dipsstick out while the engine is running creates a vacuum leak on most cars. Is the check engine light on?

What does it mean when the purge valve starts clicking super fast and somewhat louder than normal after about 2 minutes after startup

Did you figure out why that is? I just replaced mine with an Amazon one just for testing because my oem one works but throws the gas cap warning only. The solenoid is loud and you can hear the pumping but it’s an off brand

Chasing this same problem!! Super frustrating. Not the solenoid, not the gas cap, found a broken Hose from solenoid top top to I.M., nothing so far. Gonna look for broken wire next. Frustrating

Same here not my car but my friends car. What did it end up being for you? We’ve taken it apart piece by piece and tested with voltage we suspect the wiring as well

@@zprkd247 Also facing this issue and ive replaced the solenoid twice. first time i replaced it, lasted a year then the issue came back, second time the replacement didnt fix the problem.

So I have the same problem. First the code was that the gas cap was loose. I replaced it, then it came up again so I changed the canister purge valve. And now the engine light came up 😂 😂 😂 😂 Im locked now. I ran up a test and those 2 things I did were on the list so...

My tighten fuel cap light comes on when I brake, accelerate or go up or down hills. It’s almost like it turns on when the gas is shaken around.

Get it scan for codes I had the fuel cap light on I scan it had the p01456 end up being loose gas cap

Mel Cruz you won’t believe it. I put a new gas cap on, and an aftermarket evap purge valve and it fixed my problem for about 1 week and then my tighten fuel cap came back on. Today my check engine light came on with the p145c and p0497. So I’m going to put a oem purge valve on and see if it fixes it. I might have a bad connector or something. I’ll keep you updated.

You have to buy new tpms sensors your battery are probably dead on the old ones
