But again I was a student during those times so had a lot of free time to go riding.
The KLX30R is a speed density fuel injection (what you call open loop). It uses a baro sensor, and engine speed to calculate fuel/air ratio. @@Nick-fs8vg actually that's because the bike is already running lean and when you change the exhaust it makes the bike run even leaner. I've never owned a dirt bike with fuel injection but we always had to change jetting when adding a super trapp or different exhaust. I don't know if the FI would compensate for the exhaust change. You probably messed up the computer and how it is set up. My xl 500 ran lean and popped back like that, once in a while it would cut out when you first gave it gas, it had a goofy carb that wasn't adjustable. I hear this on street bikes a lot when they change the exhaust and don't change the jetting. That lean popping back. sorry to ramble.

Nick406 Awesome thanks for the info I got the header and slip on coming in about a month I’ll have to download the program do I just look online thanks for the info
You need to buy the dynojet power commander 5 . Its 335 dollars. Then you download the tune onto the power commander from a computer from their website. Then you just plug it In to your ecu. The price makes me miss jetting lol
So you took off the cat? ur bike has a cat? weird. and now has just a muffler? It sounds a bit lean with the popping back I hear.
That's just the way a long stroke old school 4 stroke sounds with an aftermarket silencer. Yes these come stock with a cat and if you touch it ,it will burn the fuck out of you
@@Nick-fs8vg actually that's because the bike is already running lean and when you change the exhaust it makes the bike run even leaner.
So, you can do mx on this bike?
Yeah you can on any bike
Is this a slip on?
Yes
Sell me stock exhaust please
Never mind that sounds way better mmmk
Beautiful bike. Half the price of a Husky but still more than enough bike for my skills as an old dude. I wish Kawasaki would make an Enduro version with a headlight, brake light, brush guards. It could be the new KDX 200. Put a horn on it and I'll add the mirrors and it could be street legal in my state (don't need turn signals to be legal here).
I know. The reason the didn't do the lights and stuff is that it is already to heavy. It would be cool to see a little more r&d money spent on this but then it would cost more .
ECU or other changes required?
Yes. You need the pc5 from dynojet
good jumps but you need to commit into your turns more. just saying from riding as long an i been since i started in my 20s now at 60 and still love riding.
Me too
