I found another method to do this: Step 1: make a curve in the desired shape of the hole. Step 2: project the curve onto the surface Step 3: use the curve as a trimming object, and trim the surface with it to create a hole Step 4: create another curve that starts at one side of the hole, and ends at the side directly opposite. Step 5: use the "patch" command, select both the curves, press enter, and disable the "adjust tangency" option. Step 6: join the surfaces together, and blend the edges if you'd like. Some people might prefer the method in this video, but personally I found mine a little bit quicker, so I think it's worth trying it this way too.
@@simpernchong Hi PC Sim Quick question? When I split the revolved curve from the surface its only splitting 1/4 of the revolved part. Been trying it over and over. I am super close. Been following the lesson exactly like you say. But stuck at the split part. Any ideas?
