Those are awesome finds. I worked for a company that was supposed to tear down an old outbuilding and when we went in it there was a box full of jars. Nobody wanted them so I took them home. At the time I didn’t realize any of them were vintage or that they had any value. Out of the 40 in the box, 11 of them were old. I have three of the Presto Supreme Masons that you have with the original two piece tin and glass lid as well as a Presto Glass Top lid with the wire bail. There were also 5 Atlas EZ seal jars with wire bails and glass tops. And a couple other old colored jars. I have a blue and a purple one. Later I found a Drey jar in a river where a flooded house ended up back in the 40’s. Now I find myself ogling jars any time I see them. It’s kind of addictive.
Just found the same Kerr self sealing jar in the woods today. Here’s what I read……. Kerr “Self-Sealing” Mason jar in clear glass. This particular variant is marked with the AHK initials on the base and probably dates from the 1970s. I didn’t see any initials on the base of the one I found. Most of the other jars I found in that area date back to the 70’s.
I just watched your video and I had a question...do you or anyone else know about or are familiar with a Mason jar called Crystal? I went on a dig at about old property in Iowa and dug up many blue jars. Among them were a few Drey jars, a few Presto jars (along with alot of the original aluminum lids with glass liners, and 1 jar with the word Crystal on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

I've inherited a ton of jars in different sizes from my husbands grandmother and the cabin we bought, the guy left me all the canning stuff and there are tons of blue jars and odd jars. I need to look them up.
Mason jars are dated by the Ball design on the jar! Some of the coolest ones are the ones that are a just little smaller than the qt jars, they were used for moonshining!
My Mason jar is short has 4 clear sides itscute on bottom it says8708Ball 3 underneath its cute 4 inches high around cute shape or I need my glasses 3703.BALL 3

Just found a bunch of blue/green jars in my in-laws barn. Some still have the cool lids that are tin and ceramic
