    1. Don't overspend on personnel/scouting. There's no reason to have 7 scouts and a whole world package, or even all of Europe Package, when your are in the Lower Leagues. A Chief Scout who does next oppositions, and maybe 1-2 scouts for local areas and agent offers. Likewise certain position coaches coach across all the teams (IIRC I think they are the GK coaches and fitness coaches, but I could be wrong). There's no reason to hire a GK for each level, if one coach can cover all the squads you have.
    2. Following 1, if you get an Agent offer, and you have attribute masking turned on, if they look interesting, or you want to take a look at them, bring them in for a 2 week trial. At the end of the 2 weeks you will know everything you need to about the player, and if they aren't good enough, don't sign them or terminate the trial early.
    3. Senior Affiliates. Get as many as you can and use them, especially when trying to loan players in. As you rise up the pyramid and maybe lose an affiliation due to being in the same League, find a lower league affiliate that you can send promising youngsters to for development.
    4. Use your Screen Flow to build a database for future transfers. This is one of the most underutilized tools in the game in Lower League saves. With screenflow set up, and it can be a pain in the a$$ to set up properly, you can get reports from every competition in every league, country and world competition in the game. They aren't full on scouting reports, but the current leaders in statitical categories for that competition. The results screens are customizable as well, and when you look at the player, you will not get the full scouting report, but at the same time, if you are looking at the 17 year old from Slovakia who has 6 starts for the Senior national team and has 4 goals and 5 assists in International competition, put him on a shortlist. Put any player that looks promising on a shortlist, and you'll get notices on how they are doing throughout the save, and if they aren't meeting expectations, as in this 21 yo Norwegian striker I put on my shortlist four years ago because he had 3 U18 appearances for the National Teams just went to a 3rd Division team on a free, take him off.
    5. Use the tactic your players are best suited to play. If you want to play a 4231 Hi Line Gegenpress, but your squad is set up to run a possession mid line 442, Run the 442. While you are there, if next season you want to run the 4231, try to sign and find players that suit that system. You can also try and train plyers into a new role/position as well. Sometime using an 'Interim' tactic to help get there works as well, from a 442 to say a 424 to a 4231, its all dependent on players you have and bring in.
    Some of these require a bit more effort and involvement in the "behind the scenes" goings on, but in my experience if your willing to willing to do that (Seriously, setting up Screenflow is a time sink) you can get a jump on the competition sometimes.

    Pay attention to your scouts advice on the opposition. Spend time looking at their tactic and who is playing well. Negate their strengths. Look at the assists, who is scoring the most goals, highest rating etc. Then set your instructions and even your player roles to counter this. Lower league teams will always have one or two standout performers - stop them and you stop the team.

    1. Loans until they run out of contract.
    2. A watered down genepress system
    3. Cup runs. They pay the bills.

    Currently playing as Bristol rovers, to see if I can take them to the promise land 🤞🏾 something I always do in FM regardless of the team or league I'm in, I always start with my backroom staff, If you don't have the right coaches, your team will simply struggle. Number #1 for me is my coaches generally always have to either match the same playing style as me or same tactical style, ideally both but in L2 one of the 2 is enough. From there any of the players you bring will instantly thrive, especially young players.
    Also don't try play tikka tikka tactical style, when you got a bunch of hutchet men as players, tweak your style to the team and change as you get better quality players

    I have one question about making profit from friendlies, see for example you’re set to make 50k profit from a friendly does that account for appearance fees, goal/clean sheet bonuses your players have? I’d imagine it dosnt because it can’t know who you’re going to play or who will get subbed on or score? If so the profit margins could be large losses with bigger teams and high bonuses?

    • @gm2407
      @gm2407 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are friendlies you dont have to win them even if it effects confidence. This is an estimate on income you could get if people show up to watch it. So look for what is likely the biggest difference
      between income and appearance fee. Play a reasonable set of players who dont have mega fee paying clauses.

  • @gm2407
    @gm2407 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Try to win the lower league cup competitions and get to the FA Cup 5th round the prize money and gate receipts for the runs make a massive difference. I specify the 5th round as it is possible to get a favourable draw to get that far and the money is good. Later rounds are super unlikely if you are non league.
    Praise and Criticise good and bad training above 7.5 bellow 6.5. Praise conduct. Bed in players with squad interactions. Makes a big difference no matter game results. A higher morale keeps the players closer to their peak performance.

  • @richardhewitt7097
    @richardhewitt7097 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Never liked the friendly option of making money. Would rather build the teams morale up before the season starts.

    • @rezku8808
      @rezku8808 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well you could start with some friendlies against top clubs and then play against shitty non league teams

    • @gm2407
      @gm2407 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Praise players once a week for conduct. Praise top trainers, critasise bad trainers Morale goes back up. Just need to be over 7.5 or under 6.5.

    I have trouble finding the right training staff because my reputation is too low. please help...

    • @delly4life
      @delly4life 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to find staff that are free agent. In staff search add condition for employed, and select No. Add any other conditions i.e role, etc and it will narrow the list down. It's also easier to get staff who're free agents and don't have any wanted/bid icons next to there names.
      I'm playing as Bristol rovers and I got van bastan as my director of football, and Zola as my U21 manager 🤷🏾‍♂️

    Is it possible to develop players at non-league level to sell them onto bigger clubs? If so, what training methods lol

    • @gm2407
      @gm2407 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Semi-Pro doesn't get enough training sessions. Coaches and facilities need to be better. Also need to play well enough over 7.5 and be praised to improve. Massively hard.
      Could just keep signing people unattached a free and selling yjem to whoever is wanted for an actual fee. Not great for squad dynamics.
