What a match! All those points were fantastic. Everything was good here. Good angle of the camera, good quality of the video considering the time, two great players and very good points all the time. And the speed and spin of the ball in these years... Thanks for sharing...
I once saw a young Kreanga playing Cooky in British league at Grove. We were sitting close up against the barriers. Kreanga's backhand was like a nuclear missile it was scary. Cooky was something like 1 _ 12 down in the first when he accidentally hit the barriers with back swing smashing his bat into bits. After a 15 minute time out to glue up a new bat Cooky played absolutely amazing came back and won the game. It was the most violent table tennis I have ever seen close up. Incredible performance by both players.
Couldn't agree more. You get a much better feel for the speed and power of these world-class players from this angle. The usual angle, with the table foreshortened by a long lens, just doesn't do them justice.
it's easy to keep the sound dude! i give you my tip. one layer of water based glue on the rubber and 2 to 3 layers of speed glue on the blade. what made the bat sound like that was the action of solvents on the wood + the density of the cement beetween the blade and rubber. use a mid sized pore rubber tensor like Tibhar EL-P and you'll sound like you are actually using speed glue but it's not. for the wood only. so no influence on the rubber. for sound purpose it's the best. since i discovered it, i tell to all the players around me and it starts to spread. my blade is a stratus power wood from Tibhar. amazing and LOUD. even a cheap waldner allplay sounds great with that trick.
There are good boosters out there that you can use. Currently legal and you can get some great results. Try Falco on DHS 3-60 Mid. It's a beautiful combo.
To me Saive's problem has always been to put more balls into the middle of the table and also his difficulty of putting more spin on the ball, all of his shots looks the same...
@@dickn.ormous1064 Wow 8 years.. Nice that you get it, I meant the opposite of what I wrote (too many balls on the middle) great guy and funny player to watch nevertheless!

Kreanga's backhand was phenomenal, in the way that Saive's forehand was
Oh I see now that I have liked this video before. And that is very obvious. This has to be one of the best matches EVER.
Meh.. Saive was a shadow of his former self.
Insane match between 2 insane persons.
Kreanga plays like Chinese top players
Love the camera angle
Agree. So much better than most. With this angle, you really get a feel for their speed, power, strength.
absolutely thrilling rallies, amazing players
Kreanga is amazing ... My favourite!!!
Mine, too. A seemingly impossible backhand. I've really tried to imitate it, but ...
Kreanga is a monster. hes frecking awsum
すごかったなぁー😊スーパーサキット第5節です。中学時代の友人と借りて研究してました。
Thanks for the video, superb!
I wish this camera angle for every match that happens today. You get better idea of the height and distance between the ball and the players.

Kreanga was a heck of an athlete and had a great backhand.

I absolutely love the sound of speed glue.... I wish it was still legal.

This game is very interesting for me!
How is Kreanga's racket changing colours at 0:30
It's the reflection from the red floor on the shiny black rubber
Kreanga is like joe pesci playing TT
Is he a ‘made’ table tennis player

こういう試合ばっかりだったらいいのにな~

Saive's strokes were very spinny. It's true he lacked angles and sidespin effects in his strokes.

Didn’t know Saive wore his nappy so late into his career
Shame we dont see rallies like this so often nowadays.
They say new ball made longer rally but time has show us 40+ plastic ball is suck 40 celluloid is better.
