    It's rare to see someone getting the viewpoint of a new player and even rarer to be able to concisely transport the right mindset in tackling the challenges. It's immensely helpfull to have some kind of roadmap to follow because all of the advanced stuff will fall in place once one get's the basics. Thank you so much for these!

    I bought sf6 a couple months ago and so far i only have a single match under my belt, against a diamond ryu, me as cammy.
    (First street fighter that ive ever played, this shit is insane but i want to get better because it just looks incredible to me.)
    I love this game despite how little time i have on it, so things like this are helpful, especially since i want to pick up classic over modern😂

    Best combo video I’ve seen all week. Been trying to learn Cammy and her damage is so low if you can’t confirm into a lil combo. Every Cammy guide just rattles off 30+ combos and I have no idea what to do. Now, I have a game plan of what to focus on and I can ignore all the extra options for now. Thanks so much!

    Can you do a video and talk about your thoughts on modern vs classic controls for a novice fighting game player

    • @telepathic
      @telepathic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I def could but idk if I have very strong opinions on it lol. TLDR I think they are great for introducing players to the fun of fighting games and getting them hooked but long term I think that losing a lot of your kit and taking the damage buff. I don't personally think the 1 button select moves will be better than a full moveset and increased damage.
      But if you're new and playing with them, I'd say its great you're playing the game and maybe try playing through the story mode with classic to get used to them in a fun non competitive setting.

  • @mrmcgreg
    @mrmcgreg 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Thanks for the great video!
    I have a question. At 6:40 you say for Ken we do this hit, then this hit, then this hit. How would I as absolute beginner go about this on another character? Idk which moves with which move builds a combo.
    And does it differ much on modern control scheme if I don't want to use auto combo thing?

    • @telepathic
      @telepathic  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So I'm not an expert in modern, there are some limitations on moves you can do so I would say you may need to experiment more. I would recommend looking at the combo trials for your character and the character guide. You don't have to do the full flash bits but you can see what the core of the combo is. So fin the moves that are your normal to special canceling moves then build from there! Everybody has something though obviously milage may vary based on the character and how much you can get based on character playstyles

  • @eebbaa5560
    @eebbaa5560 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    any advice for understanding how to build combos intuitively (i.e. in a match without memorizing training mode stuff)? i think this is a good starting point but how can i go further? i see high-level players converting stray hits and being really flexible with their combo routes and i want to know how you can learn combos this way without having to memorize every possible route.

    • @telepathic
      @telepathic  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you find a way let me know lol Top players actually just memorize combos for every situation. You just gotta start small and then build out combos for every situation as you get better and better. I wouldn't focus too hard on that stuff early on though. If you don't wanna hit training mode and you don't find that grind fun, you probs won't like the nitty gritty and should focus on the part of the game you enjoy. It all depends on your goal. You might be able to just get a 'feel' for what combos work as you learn your characters moves and how to apply them. But if you want a specific combo for every situation, you're gonna have to learn them.
