I've been following your editing process on Insta. How long does it take for you to edit these style of videos? Great work as always, and yes I am fully aware I repeat myself every video but I am genuinely impressed each time and find myself at the end wanting more.
About 6 hours usually. If I stage them in post as soon as I film them, definitely less time because my ideas on where everything goes is fresh. If I wait a few days(on this video over a week), when I come back, I have to remember how I wanted the edit to go. The last two videos I filmed on Saturday have already been staged so all I have to do is add a mix of audio/color/story shots and it’s done. The hardest part for me is picking what shot goes where over pure voice over. If voice over is not my base, it takes a lot less time for me to edit. If I’m on camera speaking more, it’s easier to use less story shots instead of a bunch of story shots over just audio. The last few minutes of this video explains that more. Me on camera and talking while using a few shots to drive my point.
@@BrandonBicasso that's impressive for only 6 hours. I'd wager it would take me 2x at LEAST to produce the same quality output. I get you about using shots with voice over. You want something that builds what you are saying vs just random scenes.
