    Correction! This is a Hammer 8-Ball and not the Hammer S. Thanks for correcting me, everyone. A lot makes sense now. 🥴

      Yeah that would make more sense as I personally own an s model which has the dual brembo brakes up front, and duel gauge cluster for rpm and speed

    I might be wrong, but I think you have a Hammer 8-Ball, not a Hammer S. (The Hammer S usually comes with dual front brakes, non-black paint and better suspension)

    The exhaust was a factory accessory option. It's the same one I had on my Victory Vegas (except those were chrome).

  • @lifebehindthebars8085
    @lifebehindthebars8085 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hammer S has the XC front end with the duel callipers. Those bars are ment for a XC as they come back at you then swoop up to come out from under a fairing.. yeah and it's a 🎱 Hammer. It's probably a 2012-2015 as it has the 106ci not the 100ci that they changed over to on some models between 2009 and and 2012. How many gear has it got? 5 or 6? Sick bike would love one to go with my highball or a Magnum. Exhaust are sweeps with intake is a stage 1.. also you have great friends letting you borrow their bikes 👌🏾

  • @USMC0331Veteran
    @USMC0331Veteran 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you are getting a Hammer for keeps definitely look into the Conquest Customs kits, they reduce weight and make that 250 really look amazing! Their performance parts are great too(ground pounders) and Lloyd's!!!!

  • @xc_4x4
    @xc_4x4 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Dude I LOVE the Victory Hammer. I've been wanting one for months but they're just so. Dam. Hard. To. Find! Those bars are hideous tho, that bend at the bottom lets me know they were meant for a Victory XC. Throw some drag bars with a 4" riser and you're primo. Enjoy the bike man, I know ill ride my XC for as long as possible

    I could be mistaken, but I think those are the Victory Performance stage 1 exhaust. They were called the Long X Bow or something like that. Anyway, one thing Victory would use to contrast HD was that their bikes were quieter while still having an American motorcycle sound.

    The Hammer was the V that I actually wanted as my 1st cruiser; it was 200 miles away in the 'city'. The guy rode it to his job, so we could meet. We pretty much made the deal, just needed to work out logistics and payment. (He shrunk the bike for his frame, so riding home would be an issue.) His wife finally answered his cell phone after a few days. He crashed it on his way home that day and was in the hospital in really bad shape.
    In '11, I found and bought '06 Vegas with about 1,100 miles at a car dealer. A week later, a Jackpot came up for sale, but I missed it by couple of days since I had stopped looking. The guy sold it to a dealer for almost nothing. I would had bought it for any of his last prices. I really loved the JP!!

  • @vincenttarquini4235
    @vincenttarquini4235 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Better watch out, Brandon! Victory addiction is a hard condition to break, which is a reason they are hard to find and becoming more expensive. The 106 engine is a gem in it's simplicity, performance, and reliability. I am finding it far simpler to work on than I thought. Parts are available and reasonably priced, but what makes it even better is not having to purchase them beyond standard maintenance items. But most important, I have never lost riding time because my bike was down, or I had to wait for a part. If you aren't riding your dying as far as I am concerned. Enjoy this bike in good health and keep two down!

    I like the cobra exhaust than the singles. The ape bar is overkill. All in all, I think I like gunner than the hammer. Smaller and more compact for my size, weight and frame.

    Love Love love my ‘05 Hammer…
    The clear coat should be pretty thick and it should shine up real sweet!!
    The exhaust looks like the aftermarket RPW USA Slash Pipes…
    The bars mine came with are Victory “V” (drag) bars, love ‘em… not sure the spikey apes came stock from Victory, but who knows?? ENJOY the ride…

    Only the Hammer s has one rotor in front. My 06 Hammer has the Vbars and dual front rotors with Brembo Calipers all around. Aftermarket triple tree's raked 15degrees over stock, RMD Angry pipes. 100ci with a 114ci bigbore kit and Lloyd's 3rd generation fuel controller. My next mod is a 10" rim for the rear to switch the 250 rear tire to a 300 rear tire. And heated hand grips cause I live in New Hampshire I ride all year round. It's January 8th 2023 and I'm still riding, not just to the store but like 50 to 100miles a day. Also the Lloyd's tuner is coming out and a guy in Mass is gonna dyno tune and program the ECU. The Hammer and the Vegas are the 2 nicest style bike from Victory. For long rides I do like my 2012 Cross Country.

  • @welderlogic1806
    @welderlogic1806 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm running some homemade exhaust on a 2013 highball. Three-quarter length with turndowns at the end, and no baffles, just straight pipes.
    To go along with those I have a Lloyd's vfc gen 3 fuel controller.
    I'm not using the O2 sensors for the exhaust. The fuel controller I'm using works on an "open loop" fuel injection platform, meaning that I adjust the fuel delivery to my liking and it stays that way, just like a carburetor but with the performance of fuel injection.
    Edit: if you really want your bike to haul.... open up the exhaust.
    Also, my bike sounds rowdy as hell.

    Simple rule.....no apes on Hammers. The Hammer is supposed to be the Victory hot rod bike, so the bars need to be low and the rider should be neutral or slightly reaching forward. IMO the stock bars were prefect.

    Loving the Victory series. How much time do you spend looking around for bikes? Between the chief, victories, and everything else that must take a good chunk of time.

      I spend an hour or two a week checking out what’s available. It’s fun because I end up visualizing all the fixing and parts needed to get them back on the road.

    Brandon , I used to ride Victory bikes for years my favorite was the Hammer and Cross Country , I sold the Cross Country in favor of the Indian Chieftain and just recently sold the Hammer and purchased and 2012 Triumph Thunderbird Storm the Hammer was blast to ride but compared to the Thunderbird its no contest that Triumph is hands down the best Muscle bike to ride , the torque of that 1700 cc parallel Twin is AWESOME in all 6 gears . If you know of someone who has a Thunderbird or come to Florida and ride mine , give a spin you wont be disappointed .

      @@BrandonBicasso I’ve been following you for yrs don’t know how I missed that, I have no idea which I’m going to get after I get home from this deployment the triumph bobber or the scout bobber 😩 love the sportster s also but the mark ups I’m seeing on that are ridiculous when I can get either one of these used for 9k

      @@SwagSo7fly7 Yeeeah, it all depends on what kind of riding you wanna do. I think the Scout goes further with traveling potential. The Triumph is great for around the town bar hopping though. Need to get my hands on another.

    the exhaust on this bike is called a X-bow exhaust. It was a upgrade exhaust that victory made, it also came with a tune on the ecm and a better air filter that flowed more air. The baffles in the X-bow exhaust were still restrictive, lots of people removed them. You can just look up inside the tailpipes to see if your bike still has them. I have same exhaust but removed the factory baffles and installed big city thunder QQ baffles. Love the way they made it sound.

      Better-looking engines? Explain how they aren't good looking engines and also how does that affect their chances?
      Also what is "onest"?
