I think at the time this video came out, the only cinematic version of Deadpool was the one in X-Men Origins, which had Ryan Reynolds in the role. Maybe people feel that no one can play the Merc with the Mouth but Reynolds.
Thank you! I grew up with Nolan North as my Deadpool, Starting with Hulk VS Wolverine in 2009 and his video game was fucking beautiful. Genuinely better than the first Deadpool movie.
It took me a long time to get used to Ryan Reynolds Deadpool and I like him now but Nolan North is always going to be the more comic book accurate of the two to me.

This really is the best thing ever. Over 20 years and Wade finally gets his own game. Other than a Mature-rated animated series, or an R-rated live-action movie, THIS is what longtime fans like myself have been waiting for! (and an end to the Daniel Way run, sorry bro) Loved seeing him crash the panel, and the costume is the best I've seen to date. I can't wait.

I grew up with deadpool VS wolverine and Deadpool the video game, so too me, Nolan North is deadpool and it took me a long time to get used to Ryan Renolds but i do love their different but weirdly similar takes on the character. In some ways i think they are both the most comic book accurate Deadpool actors easily.

You've pretty much stated my exact feelings on Way and Deadpool. As for getting caught up in larger MU stories, he had a small but pivotal role in the conclusion of Secret Invasion, among others. I'd like to see more of this kind of thing, only with larger roles played. Or even more of his own big-picture type stuff (saving the free will of the human race by kicking Captain America in the nuts comes to mind). The new run is written by comedian Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan. Well see how it goes.
