Nicely done! The nail polish is clever. Suzuki's original manual does recommend Loctite on the crank seals. And, as you said, I bought it just to use it once. Just finished a TS125. Could have used this video a few months ago!
My favorite way to mount shafts and bearings and cases is just cooling down the inner part and heating the outer. A freezer and a kitchen oven do wonders. If needed I can get liquid nitrogen...but when it's SO tight fit you need it for assembly it will never get apart. As far as assembly lub, I don't really subscribe. I use the normal lubricant in very small quantity to make sure the parts can set nicely during assembly AND seal lips are well lubricated. Then as soon as assembly allowes i flood the gear box with regular oil. For the crank I put a little 2stroke oil where needed to avoid a dry start but nothing else.
@@2strokeguru lol, well it was purchased in pieces, I mean really already motors split....so its gonna be a jigsaw puzzle. But after initial inspec it looks complete, just needs new bearings, seals, and re assemble. So the pizza box thing is out the window.
Good video! Have you ever thrown the bearings and seals in the freezer prior to install? Little heat on the case and a cold bearing might take less tapping?
I’ve been waiting for this! Wonderful! Really great video! I’m a little bit worried about the brass hammer though. Are you absolutely sure you don’t change anything at all on the balance of the crank? What tool could be used to get the crank in place? When do you upload next part? 😁🙏🏻
@@2strokeguru while I do not know most of the builds you work on, I was concerned on the TS 125. I am working on TS 400 and I have gasket set that does have the center gasket. Should I use the permitex glue you used on side cover in your video for side cover? Thanks for the quick reply. Learned a lot in your videos!!!!!
@@jessemyers7261 hello, those centre gasket mostly only use for silver engine series, the black series doesn't use them. If you didn't use them, Yr crank/gearbox might not hv clearances, what happen next when you impact all case screws, you hv a tight gears and crank. Been there done that and got pissed 😂

Thank you engine is coming together nicely

Nice job on those bearings Kevin. Another great video.
Thank you I appreciate that
Excellent video
Thank you Larry
Hey Kevin, great videos. When reassembling a TS50ER 1982, do I also start with the LEFT side? as you showed in the next video.
Yes follow the videos use your cell phone to take pictures and don't forget to use the pizza box trick

if you put the crank in the freezer would that help?

100% your tapping it not driving it your not hitting it hard enough to alter it your vibration it to get it into the braing
Nice!
Thanks
Wondering why the center case gaskets are left out in your builds?
Because for the builds that I have on the channel rtv is the correct gasket there's no actual gasket

Is this a early ts125? I was under the impression that the cranks seals are on the outside on the block?
Hi Kevin - I had my clutch side crank seal replaced, but gear oil is still getting over to the clutch side. Any suggestions or ideas?
And into the crankshaft area
@@2strokeguru Yes, burns gear oil and it even leaks out the magneto crank seal.
@@grahamsampson769 might be the rotary valve seals or the case halfs
@@2strokeguru Okay, thanks very much. That helps a lot.
