I'm done with the 1st half of the MSQ, and I think so far, the story structure is pretty good. Clear introduction to characters, clear goal, decent pacing, likeable characters and NPCs. It's exactly the type of story you need when you're trying to start a new arc.
Man, playing the game is great when you don't have a bunch of bitch ass players shouting at your ear about how bad a game is.
Only complaint I have is that the graphics update isn't fully implemented yet, so there are cutscenes that still has the low poly models, especially the glam. They did express that it will not be fully implemented in 7.0 and will gradually improve until 8.0.

I 100% agree with you. I am having a blast and am less online right now to avoid spoilers. It's a good time for sure. Can't wait to see how the story unfolds.

I skimmed through this entire 3 1/2 hr stream and didn’t see not one combat gameplay whatsoever. Is this his play style or is the MMO like this?

Nah he's just focusing on the new storyline for now. Lots and lots of combat elsewhere in the game though.

It is the slowest start any expention ff14 ever had.

I played for 7 years and it depends on how you play the MSQ which usually lasts around 1 full FF game ~ 40 hours. An expansion has 10 levels worth of MSQ. The battle content are usually dungeons that unlock every 2 levels, the trials/boss fights every 3 levels + single instanced mini boss fights or arenas in between and a few mini games. Its true that there's long bouts of dialogue in between battle content in the MSQ, but also these quests are designed to walk you through the new zones and explore to do some side stuff, but NSP is an MSQ Andy which is the type of FF14 player that doesn't engage with the more hands on systems of the game where bulk of the gameplay is. Pacing wise, its standard JRPG with lots of dialogue if you played a lot of them. Slow world building 1/3, Build up/It gets good 2/3, Kill God Final Boss 3/3.

After about half an hr of watching this game, it literally puts me to sleep. Definitely NOT my cup of tea. I'd rather go watch paint thinner dry in the garage. I'm out. PEACE!

they should have just ended FF14 with Endwalker, and made new FF MMO.
