Meet Lesley Scanlan, a proud Jarowair woman and Bachelor of Environmental Management (Honours) graduate, who shared her journey at UQ's 2024 End of Year Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sashing Ceremony.
Lesley reflected on how she initially felt isolated at university but found a sense of belonging and community through Goorie Berrimpa, UQ’s Indigenous Student Collective. She also expressed gratitude for the ongoing support she received from the ATSIS Unit, which helped her thrive during her studies.
