2 Mins. in & PROPS to the seller who loves his DOG so much that he sold this car to make him better. A 57 Chevy & a Great Dog Story, IT CAN'T GET ANY BETTER. On with the vid.
You’re a kind soul Dan, like you said it’s not like you need another project but it must have been very hard for the old guy to give up his dream car to save his dog. Glad you were able to help him, looking forward to the build, I’m doing a 57 right now myself.
Thanks Dan for having a kind heart ❤️ and helping the unfortunate, even the animal kind! YOU ROCK DAN AND A MENTOR with matters of the HEART! THANKS GOOD HUMANITARIAN 😊
Just when I think my car may be too far gone and I should just buy a better project... Dan drops a new video and I feel that my car may be mint!! And thanks for being a great human and saving the dog!!
As someone who is no stranger to buying terrible project vehicles, that '57 actually looks like a great buy to me! More importantly though, a dog was saved!
DAN, I'M SO VERY EXCITED FOR YOU! You get to build an actual two door real '57 Chevy this time, my adrenaline is going right now with the anticipation for this build. Thanks for the video 📸.
Dan many times I just shake my head in wonder...but, I truly admire your vision. You see the end of the pro'ject... then you dive in headfirst. This will be your Franken-Tri-5
This 57 Chevy is name Rusty crusty leftover try five . Dan it's really rough . But you done many rough ones . Go for it !! The blue Camaro around to see that build .two thumbs up buddy.from Flint Michigan Gordon WALKER
You know this is what we need here in America bring these cars back to life get them out on the open road so people can enjoy them as a drive-by❤ and they are so fun to drive😂❤ thank you for the video😘
Those cars find you for a reason. Original 2 door with title, your the man that can save it. Can’t wait to see all work, great content, I can’t stop watching!
This build is going to help me a lot. I've had my 57 for 30 years today! And it still has a long way to go. Long story. Through fire injury, divorce and nowhere to work on it, it sat. Now I have a garage for it and want to start as a winter project. needs a lot of work but this one you have is worse. So if you can build this one to a driver, I can do mine. Thanks for the inspiration. Can't wait for the next installment. P.S. I'd paint it.
I love your videos Dan! I appreciate this video a lot right now because im currently working on a 68 Lemans in a little rougher shape than yours but seeing your dedication has boosted my morale!
Doesn't seem like a bad buy considering the price of tri-fives and you helped save the dog. At least there are lots of good parts that came with it to make it even easier to make a car out of. Definitely a project but money well spent for sure.
❤Dan,I'm really looking forward to this new project. I've had a 57 convertible since 1967 and have transformed it into a 60s custom. Everybody restored them but I wanted a car Like I would had in high school (I'm 81). This will be fun for me to watch. I look forward to watching during the winter. Hope you don't run out of $ or stream!
Back in the day my very first car was a 57 bel air HDTP. I was 16 yr old. That started a love affair in 1966 that continues today. There is NOTHING..... YEP NOTHING like the lines of that car with the windows down and a slight rake. Be still my heart.
Hey Man you got a 57 chevy 2 door hard top for $1500 that is freaking awesome.Dude this is gonna be a good build man. I got two 47 chevys one was a hacked up joke an the other was a little two door coupe. I sold the hacked up one an now building the coupe with all the extra parts I got. An these are the best kinda builds to me. I like your chevy projects man I hope build it nice an clean straight 😎💯✌
positive thoughts for the seller of the '57 and of course his dog. hope we can get a happy update and that expenses are covered. looking forward to this build!
Dan I really enjoy watching, you transparency is hilariously refreshing. It's funny how you were speaking about rearends, and from watching the show... I'm like yea you a couple of those....Then you say "I do have a selection of tri five rearends"😂😂😂
Dan in a good mood because of those new bibs, also another '57 doesn't hurt. Dan does teach us a valuable lesson, find a car you like and buy them all, no matter the condition, you can never have too many parts cars.
GOD bless you and dannie for helping the dog we love your channel and your work i learn something new all the time i believe you fix this car up and it will be awesome can't wait to see it happens greeting to you and dannie.
You can't get that car here in Mississippi in that shape you got it in for less than $7,000 as a roller without motor and transmission, Dan you're such a lucky man on getting tri-five deals...
I like the name "Crustier". 57's are my favorite tri five. gonna be a good build. Can you work on a real 2 door? Lol. Thanks for the great door assists and the camera work Dani, you rock.
You too are the Laura and Hardy of u tupe. Never change car people are the best. From a West Virginia fan who has built cars like you do. Have a good build on this 57. Parts do build cars 😊
Great show!!! Love the 57 as do thousands of other people. Won’t hold you to the 5gs. Zip Ties and Bias Plias Tires sends his love. You don’t need to worry aboot a’57 missing a windshield.
I may be more excited about this project than the gasser Nova! That '57 has so much potential! You do things with cars I can only dream about. I live vicariously through you. Love your channel, Dan! You rock!
I had one pretty close to this one since 1990, during covid I put it together. Black primer, 350 with 3x2, 4sp and interior that was new in the box since 1989. I even have a headliner! If you double your budget you can have a sweet car. Im thinking this car deserves LS and turbos... but thats my next project.
When you do floor pan please show how much welding is done at the attachment points.thanks you have given me inspiration to attempt a whole pan my self.
You do alot of good work. Been watching for long time. I Did a 57 handyman floor an roof replacement. It's nice now..I think tear drop hood not for chevy. But it's your car
Awesome project. Down here in the States Tri 5's are gold. I was born in '56 and always wanted one or a Buick Special but you literally can't find any that aren't hacked up and $20,000. If you need cash sell one of the conversions, I'm not picky.
Right on man. Helping people and saving hotrods. The best part about that 57 is all the disassembly is basically done . I'd rebuild that without hesitation
@@DDSpeedShop lol. I’ve always been a fan of the vintage gasser 57s without the bumper. I’m looking forward to watching you build it, I need some inspiration for my tri 5s and some budget ideas.
Can you get a video of the dog you help save, you should name the car after the dog,or if it was possible gift the car back to owner when finished,or auctioned off and proceeds go to people needing serious help with vet bills ,you will never be forgotten for what you have done for saving doggy.❤ PS just subscribed because of kindness. Respectfully Katherine from Canada
D, I just name it Pot Luck 57. Just throw all the parts in a pot put it on low and when it's done you got your self a pot luck 57 chevy. Plus pot luck you bought it to save a dog. Good job on the dog. I'll watch the pot luck 57 until it done..
Hi, Dan and Dani: As a regular viewer of DD Speedshop, I firmly believe you are up to this challenge. Dan, I think you will persevere and give us a top performing, open-air 4dr. hardtop...a new milestone for the channel!
@ddspeedshop you get all the blame for the stuff we are trying to build 😂 my wife starts complaining EVERY time she hears your intro “dan here ddspeedshop”

This car is a real hardtop so if you have to sell one get rid of a conversion instead. This car has serious potential.
It wont when hes done with it. LOL I doubt anyone would buy a conversion for any real money. Almost not worth anything being butchered
Sell a tri5,?...nah he'll just buy another garage instead!
I sure wish it would make into a nice car instead of giving it the junker look.
@robertbourinski8286. I'm sure he must have a Patreon account
I agree with this comment one hundred percent!!! You always keep the diamonds and throw away the swine!
For a minute I thought Dan was going to say he was gonna make a 4 door hard top . It looks bad but it will look good when you are done have fun
I could never! Ha
Captive Nuts and the Tack Welds.........my next 60's thrash cover band.

I Commend you for Helping That Guy out, and you will have a cool car when its done.
That looks like a 210 hdtp, that is rare. Most hdtps were bel airs. Glad to see you finally building a hdtp.👍

Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant, who came together to design and produce some of the most quintessentially American cars ever made.
And they were both long dead when the tri-fives came about. 🙂

This will be fun to watch! Love the budget builds!
"You're a good man Charlie Brown" for helping that man and his dog!
I really like these budget builds as well. It feels a lot more relatable.
That hood was a popular mod in the sixties. When I was in 6th grade I would see them often. They were on all moded cars.
I am REALLY excited about this build. I'd LOVE to see you profit from your parts inventory, and talent
Old school dd speed shop build!!this is why I love your content!

"Some assembly required"! Should be a cool project.

Honestly seems like a pretty good deal. In parts alone he's up. This seems like he got about 3 grand worth of stuff for what he paid.
Dan that hood is the ace of spades look love it i am the old west Virginia man 74 years old, school as you get.
