This car is a real hardtop so if you have to sell one get rid of a conversion instead. This car has serious potential.

This build is going to help me a lot. I've had my 57 for 30 years today! And it still has a long way to go. Long story. Through fire injury, divorce and nowhere to work on it, it sat. Now I have a garage for it and want to start as a winter project. needs a lot of work but this one you have is worse. So if you can build this one to a driver, I can do mine. Thanks for the inspiration. Can't wait for the next installment. P.S. I'd paint it.

I just noticed it's a 210 Hardtop! That's a rare one with the production figures at 23,092 cars built compared to the Bel Air Hardtop production figures at 168,293. You can see the shorter upper quarter fin moulding mounting holes and the 2 tone painted dash. Bummer the tag isn't in the jamb to verify but, the Vin will be stamped on top of the frame under the driver seat if it's the car's original frame. Very cool find guys!

One thing I learned. NEVER cut the core support on a unibody car. Even if you weld it back in, the front end of the car will be floppy. I almost always remove the engine and transmission separately. Leave the rear transmission mount in place, support the front of the transmission, separate the transmission from the engine, slide the engine forward, and lift it straight up and out, then put a roller dolly under the transmission, unbolt the rear mount, move it forward to where the engine was, then lift it straight up and out. Yes it takes a bit longer, but you are far less likely to mangle something.
