- It's time for the Meat and Potatoes of Cruisin The Coast 2023. We actually cruise the coast! So for those of you who are new to the event, the coast is to cruise your old hot rod up and down the coast of Mississippi though all the small towns. Here's the kicker, Each town has a check point and if all the check points are met you are entered to win a 100+ dollar car!
This might sound like an easy task but there are plently of challenges. The 2 lane road is FULL of old cars all day and all night. This really slows you down and tests the limits of your cooling system. Your car better be able to cruise the highway and sit in traffic for hours!
The real test..... Is on the relationship with your wife! Sitting in a hot car trying to get directions...... is there a more stressful situation?

So let me get this straight... you get clobbered for calling the Gulf the Ocean, but there's a city on the Gulf called Oceanside?🧐
Right??? and i guess those people yelling at them dont know that the " Gulf '' is OCEAN WATER!!! lol they said oh look at the Ocean which is correct they did not say oh look at the SEA lol is there salty water in it? and Salt Water Ocean life in it? yes there is well then guess what guys?? its the OCEAN lol
Ocean Springs, not that that means much. But there is a Gulfport too.
Oceanside is in California - near San Diego - there can be only one!
Actually it's Ocean springs...my home, but yea...It ain't an ocean ..haha

Good to see some fellow Canucks driving their junk. My buddy and I have been driving his '55 to the tri five nats from Nova Scotia for the past 8 years. 3900 mile round trip. You guys should come. It's always a blast. Respect from the east coast.✊️

Most of us knew when you said the ocean the first time you knew it was the gulf but normal people just let it go.

Like I was telling you the other day about my single fan. I have it on an old school controller, it comes on at like 180, idling in traffic at 185 it doesn’t matter how hot it is outside it just works. We sat in traffic on Hwy 90 from Ocean springs to Biloxi for 4hrs, it just stayed at 180. Glad I got to see you guys. Safe travels home!!

You guys are living a dream love this channel. I am sure that fan is stressed and overwhelmed and pissed off allot at the steel boxes but he doesn’t throw that crap out there and hopefully when he looks back he won’t see it bc we didn’t see it either this is such a great show!!

I spent three weeks in the bay St. Louis area right after the hurricane(aid worker). It looked like God had taken a giant rake and just raked back from the waterline about a quarter mile all up the coastline. Houses, cars and trees were piled like you rake leaves.
The Gulf is Oceanic water. So you were both right. Great job on the Nova Dan. I knew it would do good.👍
I tip my hat to you guys...years ago i drove my friends 55 chev straight axle big block 7 miles ..looking at tops of telephone poles....lol then treated me to drive his 650 hp blown small block chev 30 ford rod ...lol have a safe trip..dig your show..

Remind me of when I lived in Daytona Beach Florida, they have a thing called the Turkey rod Run cool cars, everywhere's people sitting around checking out old hotrods great time, and a big swap meat at the Speedway.

Yeah when hurricane Katrina hit in 2005 we were devastated on the coast we didn't have a power for over 6 weeks and it took two years to clean up the beach of all the debris

I know y'all were busy with the hotrod stuff, but seriously, if you ever get the chance, just south of Mobile on the west side of the bay is the absolute best botanical gardens you will ever see...it's called Bellingrath Gardens. Definitely worth a visit!!!
And btw, used to live on the Gulf in FL and always laughed at people that called it the ocean...nice try, but no cigar
Had a great time jawing with you two world famous TH-camr - Influencers at Margaritaville🤣. A great time even if Biloxi ended up closing Hwy 90 completely on Saturday. Hopefully they can figure out a traffic solution, because every year it gets exponentially worse as more and more come. Over 10,000 registered cars this year!

The water in the gulf is super clean. It is a nice area.
