"I used to live knowing that there's nothing for me out there, but now, I think I've changed, my depression will never leave me no matter what, but it's still my friend no matter what. I'm the cat lady, I have been through so much, and it was worth it to go through it with a friend. " From Susan Ashworth
i need to finish this game sometime. i always played it at night and got me depressed or sad afterwards and had difficulty sleeping. guess the developers goal was achieved.
think this could have been a really cool show. like dexterish how a older woman cursed with imortality kills people to free herself. like the story writes itself at that point
I was an Old man on my Death bed, and Death asked me “did you enjoy your life?” I answered “I awoke one day to find myself on this bed. When I Die I awake in another Bed, and another, and another always ready to Expire.”
I hope harvester games make another game as good as this one, downfall was such a disappointment, I can barely even remember playing, I didn't care about the story or any of the characters. I'll never forget this game, it was a flawed masterpiece, too underrated. David lynch style bizarre imagery but a really human storyline, stuck with me for a long time after playing it. Now I come back here every once in a while and have to check if harvester have announced a new game yet, which could be another year or two away considering the gap between cat lady and downfall.
Where is this on the soundtrack though? It's the main reason I bought the vinyl and I dont thin the song is even on there. Anyone know what the name of this song is?

You obviously didn't see the end :)

I see it sad end😥
"Even if it takes me not nine, but nine hundred lives"
such a beautiful horror indie game...
The scary part about depression is that when it’s not black and white, it’s crimson red and it leads into what it once was your child’s room.
This song is strangely calm, while still encompassing all the gritty and emotional themes of the game, and that's wonderful.
The chillingly depressing piano notes is what seals it for me. Its just so sad in a way that it really gets to you.
This makes me so calm and somber. I listen to this to chill my brain out. I have ADHD so this is a lifesaver.
I absolutely love this song so much, the tune just sticks in my head for so long. I love the cat lady :)
the sadest piano notes I have ever heard in my life
The saddest but the most beautiful.
Bittersweet, actually
@@laurentiusmcmxcv 7 years later I listened to it again, and you are completetly right. The word "bittersweet" fits perfectly.

When does she say this? Genuinely curious
I've been looking for the version with no vocals for a while now. Thanks!

I played it when i was depressed, its what kept me going through it.
same here, this game open my eyes.. its amazing
I listened to this for about 30 minutes before I even pressed New Game. That's how you start a fucking game bois.
Finally, an instrumental version. I can't stand the lyrical version, tbh. The mood is killed when someone starts singing along to it.
Its only me listening to this masterpiece in 2023 ?❤
2024 bro 😢 wow time flies

This game is so intensely grim but so brilliant! The soundtrack just adds to its amazing depth

I always think about this
This song is the sadest

They made a game called Lorelai recentely. A TH-camr called John Wolfe played it. Highly recommended.
@@senddeym2208 I played it, it's brilliatnt but it didn't reach the level of cat lad
forever
Isn't this the same piano riff from the song The Noises She Makes In Their Bed by Warmer?
+ArcaneSiren Yeah. I like this version with rain more though.
