You should have to pass a fitness exam throughout your police career not just the beginning.... Lets see a police sergeant that can pass the fitness test
@@ExpeditionPlanetEarthThey’re talking about getting rid of the fitness exam in NH because officers can’t pass so they’re leaving the force and going to states like Vermont where that doesn’t exist..
Just like anything else they knew the standards before they attempted them. What were they doing to prepare? Don't work to hit the minimum work to hit the maximum.
There was a guy who looked like sausage skin stuffed with well over 300lbs of jell-o who ran right past me in 3k run. My time was 14 minutes 17 seconds. He had to have been a minute ahead of me. Looks can be deceiving. Don't US football players get somewhere in the weight range, but can routinely run for a few hours during the game?
People are still failing because of the run and pushups. So overall it doesn’t make a difference. Many don’t want to do the job and many can’t seem to pass.
The high standards are just unnecessary. Cops are not MMA fighters. They literally drive around in a car all day as their job. Makes no sense. 1 mile run, 10 push ups, 10 sit-ups is much more realistic.
So they make it easier every year and give u 2 weeks to train even before u have to take the test, or whatever? This is ridiculous. Hey, maybe hire people like me back who got fired for not getting that poison shot. This state is horrible.

Good sergeants will pass the fitness test. They take their job seriously throughout their career, all aspects of it.
They have to pass every 3 years in nh

I have my physical test in 3 weeks... wish me luck!
Good luck. You got this!
How'd it go? Hope you did well.
It’s not luck. Hard work will get you there.

When I was a kid, I use to make them chase me and my friends in the stairwells of the projects lol.
I bet you there was capable candidates who just didn’t get a fair shot
Here's a great idea - lower the standards. Great idea. Part of the fitness test is a 30 second plank....wow 😅😅😅😅
@@Sport812-22 dude....30s is nothing wtf try a 1 min horse stance
Fitness test should be the first thing before writing or any other 🧠 test …
I seen 300lb officers, you can’t tell me they can do pushups and a run😂
In my MA town we have fat 'police' and fat 'fire fighters'. Lots of nepotism too. They are all named doolittle.

The burger and doughnuts are strong with these...they will just change the goalposts so quotas are met, just like the military.
Young people can start training six months earlier.
In Washington State, running is no longer required because not enough people could pass. It used to be the Coopers test.....
Most police systems don’t have standards and police unions fight against them 😂
Massholes. Go figure.
Don't drop the standards.
What standards?
They changed sit ups for planks to get more recruits
@@crazyhorse141 What a shame.
Its such a joke lol@@crazyhorse141

18 laps here = 1.5 miles. I did 20. Just in case. It was rough. That's cement.

Affirmative action by another name.😂
More food push aways and they'll do fine
