    For your RF remotes, you should setup as 2 buttons each..an ON and an OFF.
    then make another for unit 2. That is a good work around

    Hi, nice video. I have several other sonoff devices and just bought one of these bridges to experiment. Excuse this if it’s a daft question but…….I’m a little confused, I can see how the bridge ‘learns’ the RF code (ie takes it ‘IN’) and can then control something else BUT does it work in reverse? ie if you press one of the buttons on the app does the bridge also then send OUT the RF to turn on one of the plug sockets?

    can I ask a case?
    I have multiple T1 Sonoff athome,
    my setting on existing T1 is just on off, and some with schedulling on off
    and if it connect to wifi, it use IP for each device, I want to save number of IP,
    so my plan is to purchase this RF bridge, to connect and control the T1.for on off via bridge, and if possible to set shecdull on-off on the T1.
    is it possible?

When I choose for Alarm in de Ewelink app then only one code will be registered. Or should I make two alarms, 1 for the open code and 1 for the closed code? Thanks!

      Yes, this is a very good question. So far I have only seen an door open alarm. It does not send any message when the door is closed. Hence there is only one code. So I don't have an answer to your question.

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need a remote. The RF Bridge can only send out a code that it has learnt. It cannot generate a "random code" on its own. Alternative is borrow a remote from somebody, train both devices and you will not need it any more... :)

      Szia, magyarul nincsenek. És nekem is 4 eszköz a korlát. Amin egy kicsit csodálkoztam is. Nem tudom elképzelni hogy ez valami programozási korlát lehet inkább csak így kényszerítik az embert hogy nem tudjon egy komplett RF hálózatot egy Bridge-gyel lekezelni. Szóval szívás. Alap dolgokra jó, de egy komolyabb hálózatot nem építesz belőle (legalábbis nem egyből).

      Well, I am not sure. There is an RF Sonoff Touch which looks like the Touch but works on RF (and a coin cell). And there are Sonoff Basic RF which listens on RF and also on Wifi. Maybe you can pair the RF Touch to the RF Sonoff. I never had these units, so I am not sure how they work.

    Hi,great video & info, but i am hoping you can help with a problem.
    I have 3x PIR2’s 1x bridge & 1 sonoff mini. What i am trying to do is is switch some communal hallway lights for a time of around 5-6 minutes using the above items.
    The problem i have is that i open the front door the PIR2 picks me up & the lights switch on & this is good & it switches off a few minutes later. Now only works if i dont move again after i have opened the front door, because if the PIR picks me up again within this timed period, the lights get switch off.
    Can you think of a way around this. Thanks

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did this video a long time ago, I hope I remember the details right. I would try the following: set up the 3 PIR sensors as alarms. Create 3 scenes that trigger in the 3 PIR sensor and turn the Sonoff mini On. And in the Sonoff mini settings turn on the inching functionality and set it to whatever off time you want. If you use this the PIR sensor should never turn off your light.

    Several questions, I would want to use this device to control ceiling fans in my house, what sort of range does the RF signal have?
    a fan would be a single device BUT there are multiple functions associated with that device such as Fan speed and light control as well as on/off. Will this bridge accommodate those functions.
    What are the implications of using Several of these Bridges throughout the house.

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      These have rather good range. And these low frequency RF signals travel well across walls. But I don't think you would be able to do much with the fan speed. Light and On/Off would be easy, but I have no idea how the speed is wired and if that can be done with RF. I only had one RF Bridge, but I see no reason why multiple would not work in the same house. Probably the most straight forward way would be to use RF Bridge to pick up the signals from your RF remote/keyfob and that triggers different modes on the Sonoff fan controller such as iFan02. But with iFan02 you can set up a scene to turn it on/off, but there is no scene setting to change speed.

    FYI
    those cheap RF relays are great and they have more than just the momentary mode,
    there is also a latched mode so you can have either one button to switch it on and another button to switch it off or you can have it so one button switches it on and off and there is another mode too but i forget what it is since i never use it and thye also come in 10 amp 120/220 v so they can be used for main just like a sonoff basic and it also has the different modes, so you can make it on with one FQ and off with another FQ
    i use the 12v models for the garage with a broadlink RM pro
    well i use one right now but then you only have one FQ for both open and close
    i got a second one for the garage and now i am waiting for my momentary SPDT button switch to arrive from China so that i can wire the 2 relays and the switch up to get separate FQ's , one for open and one for close here is a schematic for you if you are interested
    9000 hours in MS paint
    postimg.cc/image/9t529w893/
    i plan on mounting or gluing the button to a magnet and then sticking the magnet on the end of the
    rail near the opener so that when the door opens the trolley will press in the button

      Thanks. I think what you heard is true. With a Sonoff you can provide power to the AC, but it will not tell the AC to also turn on (not to mention other details like temperature, speed, etc.). BroadLink RM Pro is a wifi IR remote hub which I have been recommended in the past. That will let you control your AC from your smartphone, but as far as I can tell it is not integrated with Google Home / Alexa. I now have an Echo Dot and I was planning on upgrading to wifi smart plugs. I ordered some from Amazon. The first set, 3 out of 4 were defective. They're on their way back. I ordered a different brand and I'm going to try to cancel. The RF sockets were $20 Canadian. The RF bridge is also $20. That's cheaper than the Chinese sockets. Now that I know that I can make them voice-enabled, I think that I'll stick with them. Cheap, unbranded Chinese electrical components, what was I thinking?

I live in an old house, most of the lights down there are on chains and since I have old wiring, my lighting choices are limited. I'm going to have to get Lutron Caseta for upstairs so anything that can cut the costs down a bit is good.
