They need to wrap up the current Venom arc where he fights Meridius because I think they're building up to a confrontation between Eddie Brock/Venom against the King in Red Carnage.
They needed to wrap up Venom like 10 issues ago. After this Venom run, I will never buy another Al Ewing comic. It's so convoluded and goes all over the place without feeling like anything has actually been accomplished. Venom isn't a celestial type of character, he's a boots on the ground guy. So having like 5 or 6 or however many Eddie's/Venoms running around, through time and space, I think is a terrible idea. I think Ewing is trying to be all philosophical with Eddie, then Bedlam, then the blue one (forget his name), then meridius, writing from their different perspectives, but when you do that over a span of 30 issues, it falls on it's face, and the story drags slower than molasses running down from the top of mount Everest. It's fine if you have like 10 issues of it, but when you have 30 issues going with the same story which started from issue 1, which hasn't even wrapped up yet, you have a serious problem. It doesn't help when you throw in Ram V and Gronbekk to delay/divert the story. Cates and Stegman's 30 issue run was so good and tight, I absolutely loved it. I just groan when the description of issue 30 is "this sets up the venom arc for the next year" cause I think this current story is terrible.
@@ZiKoN22 I do agree that Venom is not a cosmic level entity to what the degree this writer is going for, here is Carnage doing the same, there clash is a one off unless Casady has away of living inside of Carnage. If god wipes all disease, we don’t need to pray to god. So what do you get when you wanna make a god pray? Carnage. This story is incredible. And Cletus looks SOOOO SCARY.

You don’t care about anything beyond yourself. Beyond the monster who kills without cause. You fear what you can never even hope to understand.”
Cletus extreimus dragon is now an old man after attacking new york and getting emp'd by iron man. Why exactly is that the case and why is he not using any of his abilities here? He wasn't an old looking man in the story where he killed that influencer in the orphanage. During the end of the fight with miles and iron man he seemed interested in rejoining the carnage symbiote yet here he just injected himself with antibodies and allowed himself to be swallowed and then afterwards killed. Like wtf? Did whoever was writing this not know what happened to the original Cletus?
