Ah yes. Harley quin is fast enough to grab the lasso of truth, throw it on batman, ask him a question and grab the box, before a man who can move as fast as flash can just like grab her and stop her. Gotta love comic book logic
The problem i have with this is Harley isnt strong enough to knock wonder woman down, she has super durability her body would just bounce off wonder woman, and the fact that she got the upper hand on batman like that makes no sense, and the fact that she got away somehow, when two of the ppl there have extreme amounts of speed, which tells me the writer just forced the heroes to stand there instead of hunting her down in seconds lol , you cant get away from superhuman speed with regular speed lmao ,

Your enthusiasm is infectious, so even if I didn't like a story beforehand, after you explain I tend to like it. The Flash is a great character to explore complexities with and I think it would be neat if maybe comics annually did a run exploring different mental health themes. Even tho I don't necessarily want comics to be dragged into the mud of reality. And I think anyone, anywhere, at any time can relate to the idea of having a crisis. Heck I've seen my family's pet cats have a crisis when someone else feeds them or the litter box gets moved. So, it was a good run, humanizing the hero is somewhat taboo for comics but every now and then it offers some good insights. Marvel tried to do it with grief in Wandavision but Picard season 3 nailed it with the captain of the Titan. When he broke down from the trauma he experienced tangentially in events from TNG was just, so good.
Picard was garbage in a crock-pot with sick dog diarrhea. Easily the worst show ever made on the subject of the character or that universe. What i like about this story is even people with powers beyond what we could ever have are still people and deal with things mentally that we normal people do and I really admire that 😔
Well, you need to remember that comics are written for human-centric audience. If it really depicted struggles of gods, readers would not be able to relate. For example, Dr. Manhattan is very hard to connect to for some people, since he is so detached and alien. But realistically, most super-humans would be like that. People can barely relate to celebrities. Now imagine a hyper-celebrity that is being worshipped as some gods - they would not need to suffer almost any issues normal people do. Also, there is a philosophical branch called “transhumanism”. The idea is that by becoming more superior, you can just ignore issues humans face. Example: Have cancer? Well, now you can regenerate and ignore it. Aging? Not anymore - now you are immortal and forever impeccably youthful. Irrationally angry partner? Erasing their mind and bending them to your own will (look up Marvel Killgrave). Point being, the ONLY reason you can relate to (essentially living weapons) in comics…. Is because author either lacks creativity and understanding to write gods with god-like issues and god-like psychology….. or chooses to write them as average Joes for the sake of positive reception. If you were to write a comic about somebody with highly atypical form of thinking (example - true psychopath, that enjoys eating baby chickens alive)…… well, people will be disgusted, and definitely won’t be able to relate. Similarly, if you write a story about a superhuman that evolved/transcended morally and acts as a god of death (chooses who lives and who dies)….. and their moral compass is drastically different from normalcy…. Comic won’t land well. Example: Imagine writing a god that chooses to erase elderly people, since they produce no societal value, are prejudiced and drain societal resources (obviously very reductive and not at all morally human-centric)…. And making them relatable to a normal human reader….. mission impossible. And the thing is… they might not be philosophically wrong (not in a real life morals, but in their own “progressivist, result-heavy way)…. But people just won’t stand that kind of “problem” to relate to.

Just like regular people they suffer from addiction depression and other mental health problems. it's nearly impossible to talk out it with a psychiatrist need to keep their hero identity and secret identity separated. Like that Sanctuary is a place to heal so that when duty calls they are ready to save the day without worrying about any burdens they have.
I've read in one of the DC comics long ago, can't remember which story, but Batman essentially says that Clark Kent, even though a alien, has more humanity being raised by loving parents than Bruce Wayne. Bruce's humanness died with his parents and in it's place is a emotionally stunted empty person that is filled with rage.
Another way to kinda say that is Superman is Clark Kent's alter ego and Bruce Wayne is Batman's alter ego. Supes is Clark's mask, and Bruce Wayne is Batman's mask.
i disagree with this. bruce wayne's identity died when his parents did. and while yes he is filled with rage, he's also still that broken boy inside. i really like that batman beyond episode (special? idk) where amanda waller tells terry about the time ace, a _powerful_ child psychic, started going ballistic, threatening to like fuck up reality of some shit i dont remember but basically ace is dying from some shit i think it was a brain tumor or sth but she doesnt know and she'll die after the night is through but if she dies before fixing shit then everything stays fucked forever. so waller talks to batman and other people i dont remember and she has this doohicky that will i guess fix everything but kill ace in the process. she offers it up to the heroes and batman takes it, much to their surprise. batman takes the device all the way up to ace where reality is all sorts of fucked, and she reads his mind as he walks up and they talk as she's reading his mind and she finds out abt the device and how itll kill her and about her tumor and stuff, but then just lets batman in anyways because she also learned that batman never intended on using it, he took it so that nobody else could use it on her. he went up there just to talk to her, and get her to stop the fuckery, and in the end, thinking about how she's gonna die when the sun rises, just sits on a swing set and asks if batman can stay with her until she goes. batman silently just sits on the swing next her and gives her his hand to hold. it cuts to the sun rising on batman carrying ace's body back from where they were. yes, when batman fights crime he sees a little bit of the person that killed his parents in those people. but in the victims of these criminals he sees a bit of that lone little boy long ago, crying his eyes out. batman isnt emotionally empty, he just healed broken. he's not just a cold heartless rage machine, at least he's not when he's written correctly... he treads the realm of rage machine for sure, but he doesnt let himself cross that line because he knows that if he doesnt stop himself from crossing it, nobody else will be able to

I believe one of the few times something like Paradise occurred before this is in Batman Beyond with the character Maxene where not only does she know Terry was Batman but she knew him since childhood. So, they can just talk about anything to each other. There's a big theory in BTAS that after a certain point, the Ivy that was shown was a clone and that the original had been dead. So, having a clone Ivy showing up here is nothing new.

As a mixed martial artist, I can personally attest that power thrills, speed kills. One can have all the power in the multiverse; all that power would mean absolutely nothing if the opponent has superior timing and speed.
@@jeevan88888 Yeah but think of it this way. If you are extremely skilled and powerful in regards to strenth but, as soon as we fight I have my gun drawn and shoot you instantly, what use was all that power? What if I just blitz you before you can use these "shield forces."
Power *is* speed. It is not exactly what Superman can lift that makes him powerful, it is the speed of acceleration such strength gives him. His body is dense and durable enough to withstand it and mass x acceleration = force
I like how you criticize the very thing you do with your titles and thumbnails. "People were led to believe that this is a big crisis event but then it just turns out to be about a seemingly minor thing" And then you title the video "The Flash Kills The Dc Universe" It's just pathetic man.
I really appreciated this story and thought it was great. Was really a breath of fresh air to have a crisis event where the whole multiverse wasn't about to be destroyed by some super op villan and have a story that was character development driven.
wally going insane because of the whole new 52 thing seems realistic since he basically lost his whole identity and that he actually does have the power to kill the justice leauge which makes this story soo good!!
Ya know I just love how comics reflect upon us as people. The writers and artists together seem to be able to make this so reflective of how we are in society towards each other. What am I trying to say. Heroes showing their more human side makes their actions, at least IMO, carry more weight.
The shield 🛡 they sitting in front of is like wonderwoman lasso of Truth and when they sit in front of the shield and makes them tell the truth and talk confess
1:17:10 You want to know why we only look for verification of our own opinions? That right there. That's the core of internalizing suffering. That is what only looking for verification without challenge does to someone. As depression seeks out depression, so does darkness the shadows, and when it finds it, it validates itself by not being alone. We no longer have people to tell us "You don't need to suffer, i'm here for you". We have people that tell us "Yes, you're right, _you're right to suffer because you are valid, your reasons are valid.",_ and this comic highlights that aspect of modern society perfectly. And it is absolutely the single most horrific thing about the acceptance movement. Tunnel-vision is the death of all exits. This comic hits deep with me, because i've been there, and it's absolutely horrible. Getting to know the worst parts of yourself on a personal level... And to be honest, i'm not sure i'm fully out of that state of mind, nor do i think i'll ever truly be. But i learned and have been taught to surround myself with people who challenge that part of myself, that part that wants to seek out that darkness. ... Now imagine if you wake up and everyone who stood in your way is gone, and all that's left is a long, endless corridor, a tunnel without end nor exit. I like Marvel. _But this is why i love DC so much more._
So if they don't know P.Parker. technically they can use the stunt double and never take the mask off for the cameo.. Get Spider-Man in CA4 but no P. Parker

i appreciate you Rob but i really don't like when you recover and remaster old stories cause i look forward to new ones whenever i see your page that said hope you're having a great day thank you for making my last 4 years amazing as a comic fan
As a mixed martial artist, I can personally attest that power thrills, speed kills.
One can have all the power in the multiverse; all that power would mean absolutely nothing if the opponent has superior timing and speed.
You're wrong strength can create shield forces that kills speed.
@@jeevan88888 Yeah but think of it this way. If you are extremely skilled and powerful in regards to strenth but, as soon as we fight I have my gun drawn and shoot you instantly, what use was all that power? What if I just blitz you before you can use these "shield forces."
@@akio159 the shield forces are always up. Strength wins.
Power *is* speed. It is not exactly what Superman can lift that makes him powerful, it is the speed of acceleration such strength gives him. His body is dense and durable enough to withstand it and mass x acceleration = force
This was such a divisive series, so it’s interesting that you’ve focused in on that.
I died inside when he said Japan Olympics
Brightburn Request👿Beyond Omega Level: Kulan Gath!
Tom King does an amazing job on this story delving into mental health. Another great story by him is Batman: Killing Time fantastic!!!
I like how you criticize the very thing you do with your titles and thumbnails.
"People were led to believe that this is a big crisis event but then it just turns out to be about a seemingly minor thing"
And then you title the video "The Flash Kills The Dc Universe" It's just pathetic man.
I really appreciated this story and thought it was great. Was really a breath of fresh air to have a crisis event where the whole multiverse wasn't about to be destroyed by some super op villan and have a story that was character development driven.
**BLANK** kills the **BLANK** universe is just comic book madlibs.
Unsurprisingly, they did basically sweep this under the rug
Had to check the release date when you brought up buying tickets to the 2020 olympics lol
Batman ain’t to flucking anti-hero
wally going insane because of the whole new 52 thing seems realistic since he basically lost his whole identity and that he actually does have the power to kill the justice leauge which makes this story soo good!!
Beyond Omega Level: Icon (DC Milestone Comics)
Wow was the first video from before covid?? Daaaamn
Awesome video man ❤
Those dates ain’t adding up!! Unless you do some marvel time travel
Ya know I just love how comics reflect upon us as people.
The writers and artists together seem to be able to make this so reflective of how we are in society towards each other.
What am I trying to say.
Heroes showing their more human side makes their actions, at least IMO, carry more weight.
Ha; gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
The shield 🛡 they sitting in front of is like wonderwoman lasso of Truth and when they sit in front of the shield and makes them tell the truth and talk confess
Batman saying “well I don’t know if that’s true” is PEAK and hilarious lmaoo
Booster is one of the greatest heros out there.
Ngl the twist near the end reminds me of steins;gate.
"Im going to tweet but have to be careful what i send or i could lose my job 10 years later" truer words were never said🤣😂
For a second there I thought I heard "legume-boy" lol
Poison ivy is such a trash character now! My god!!
48:53 the artist new the assignment
Can we go over One Minute War!!!
Thanks for tha video

Yeah and Supes couldn't get the rope back from Harley, okay... I really hope he let her take it, because he knew Bruce was lying.
been waiting on dis one
I remember reading a few issues of this storyline I liked it a lot at the time it came out
So if they don't know P.Parker. technically they can use the stunt double and never take the mask off for the cameo.. Get Spider-Man in CA4 but no P. Parker
I mean isn’t this like a normal Tuesday for the Flash
Book 3 cover is very reminiscent of the Watchmen cover.
A beautiful homage.
Who watches the Justice League?
Thank you Rob. You get me through my workday and expand my comic knowledge. Hope you keep this up for years to come 💪
Good video, title is a bit misleading though. I think this story is good enough to stand on its own without the clickbait title.
