I might be wrong here, but I think Cyclops' warning was TO Dr. Alia: about Karima and the Sentinels, and not the other way around. We know from Inferno, that Omega Sentinel, Nimrod and Moira plan to eventually double cross Orchis. Cyclops was "looking" at Karima when he asked what would happen next. And Karima is the one that cuts the conversation short. Afterwards, when they are celebrating, Dr. Alia looks a bit paranoid as the Omega Sentinel is ordering Nimrod around and is talking about Sentinel City. So, yeah. I think Cyclops is trying to warn humanity about the Sentinel/AI threat,
That was my interpretation when I read the comic. Once the mutants are eradicated, the machines would no longer require humans and will turn against them. As you mentioned, this concern was raised in Inferno. Even the post-humans, like the Children of Tomorrow (cyborgs), acknowledged the potential threat posed by machines, particularly the Phalanx and the Machine Dominion. The Four Sinisters aimed to avoid this future, each seeking to achieve Dominion first to defeat the machines, driven by the paranoia of the original Nathaniel Essex. This underscores the overarching theme of the Krakoa era: the conflict between organic life forms and artificial intelligence/the struggle between living beings and machines. And since humanity produces mutants, they are next.
I think what Cyclops was speaking of to Omega Sentinel is the fact that once all mutants are gone humans will be eradicated next. The machines do not see a difference. And in Inferno she and Nimrod killed all those agents.
Cyclops's memories weren't removed. His memories of the event weren't backed up since the team that attacked the Forge were too far from Earth to maintain the link that preserved their memories, so when he was reborn, he only had his memories from before he went on the mission.
Correct. Several things about Rob's recollection of the events seem to be off, including of this very comic, but you're spot on. Memories have to be backed up, and the moment of a mutant's death is often not backed up because it's unexpected (before the next scheduled backup) or they're out of range (like in the case of the assault on the Orchis Forge). This is also not a declaration of war on humanity, this is the X-Men, mutants and allies taking the war to Orchis openly.
Its not even him, just a simulacrum… anyone revived while having some of the memories of the deceased , as you said if not backed up, are lost so they are copied and could be copied while alive .. Ergo anyone revived is literally just a simulacrum of the dead original..
@@WeAreInYourWall Agreed. That's the one thing I think they missed tightening up with the way The 5's powers contributed to bringing their clones online. Going by the 5 specifically, they could have established that Proteus's contribution was actually warping reality in a way that connected their true essence (their astral self, spirit or soul) to the physical clone body when the telepath inserts the memories. That would have been a solid reason for not activating multiple clones too, as any other would be an empty homunculus (subject to possession by demons) while the first had the true essence. Elsewhere (and I'll spare all that extra detail) I posted that a different 5 mutants should have also been in operation whose job was to traverse the afterlife of various pantheons and underworlds to retrieve or negotiate for dead mutants' souls. It wouldn't have even been weird for X-Men stories since they've often linked Mutant energies to Mystic energies, have several characters who lost and regained all or parts of their souls, and have characters linked to various transition realms - Magik, Pixie, Madeline Pryor (Limbo), Dani Moonstar (Valhalla), Nightcrawler, Azazel, Strong Guy (heaven and hell realms). Even Wicked stores spirits and the Psychic Plane is connected or adjacent to the Astral Plane mystics often traverse. It would have made at least one interesting side story as one or more realm's leadership takes offense at them taking back souls they had rights to, and/or they eventually had to establish and manage their own afterlife. Admittedly, Scarlet Witch's Waiting Room kinda serves as that now, so maybe the process is improved by that. It's also ironic that they had the Spark story for Legion of X, and now stories with the White Hot Room which could have also played into that concept. Barring that, yep, they're all really elaborate clones of the originals who died.
And my concise version: along with a Sacred Circuit of 5 for Resurrection (Hope, Elixir, Egg, Tempo and Proteus), there should have been another Sacred 5 for Soul Retrieval (Jean, Magik, Pixie, Wicked and Nightcrawler) using Limbo, the White Hot Room, Wicked and/or Legion's mindscape to manage their own afterlife awaiting resurrection. And I'm all about solutions, not just spotting flaws: they can still do a mini-series or one-shot (or even touch on it in the upcoming Dead X-Men) addressing the need to connect the originals' souls to their cloned bodies and inserted memories.
@@ambrosia_123 I dont think they "hate" them in the traditional sense. They are programmed to be hostile to mutants and they see humans and mutants as the same thing. Its like a person with a disability is still a person. They cannot act on this programmed aggression until a human develops a mutation though but through simple logic it is only a matter of time before the humans begin mutating again. Therefore humans are subject to their programmed aggression as well. Another perspective is they are built in the image of man and while the "hate" they are programmed with is not felt in the same way internally the same as a human feels the emotion, outwardly it looks the same because they were built and programmed in the image of man.

Has anyone noticed that Nimrod acts more human in most scenes. He takes great joy in destroying mutants. A rational machine would not show that type of delight in exterminating a life form. He is changing/mutating into something else. I wonder how how Omega Sentinel will keep him functioning.
so this version of Nimrod was created when Dr. Alia uploaded her husbands consciousness into the machine so yeah it's more human than previous versions that have shown up
@00:44 it's Dr Stasis who reads the verdict, not Colossus. Also.... I think there is a Huge misunderstanding of a crucial point. When Cyclops asks what will happen once all mutants are dead, and Dr Alia Gregor answers I suppose humanity will live in happiness, then Cyclops replies that the question was for Karima Shapandar who refuses to respond. What he does here is the opposite of what @ComicsExplained says. Cyclops is subtly implying that once all mutants are dead, the machines will turn against humanity and submit them to their rule... Because the goal is Dominion. Sentinel Omega, Nimrod, and Even Moira have already implied that they don't care about humanity. It's also what we saw happening in Powers of X in the X3 timeline that introduced Rasputin IV. And that is confirmed in a later page of this book where we see the leaders of Orchis celebrating the result of the trial of Cyclops, but Alia Gregor is suspicious of Omega Sentinel when she orders Nimrod to go destroy Krakoa, and that they'll celebrate on Sentinel City : the sentinels are moving to take over the world.
i picked up on that immediately because not only i read the comic but also because i am watching the video and i am seeing it is Dr Stasis, the same with the warning being directed towards Omega and not Dr Gregor, i wish Rob could realize that he makes mistakes and acknowledge them, but no he just keeps on going like nothing happens or no one noticed, it its getting more frequent and it is starting to be annoying, oh well, anyway it is nice to see someone else calling him on his bs (like the time in sins of sinister Rob said that Summernight had become a drunk, he really pulled that one out of his behind and never corrected it)
@@liquidtrick187 My guess is that he reads fast, doesn't take time to process what he reads, and jumps to biased conclusions to go make a video as soon as possible. @@tithannisk7470He must have also skimmed most of the stuff leading into these events too. So much is off with his explanations here. 1. Even the title: Mutants aren't going to war with humanity, they're going to war with Orchis. 2. Cyke was directing his question to Omega Sentinel implying the machines will turn on humans next. 3. Cyke couldn't be backed up at the moment of his death because he was out of range, so whatever memories that were stored before going on that mission were all that could be restored. He doesn't need to be an absolute expert on every aspect of every comic, but if he's presenting himself as the explainer of this, one of the biggest stories of Marvel in the last decade, one would think he'd have been paying attention to what was actually going on.
All of the Mutants no longer pulling their punches is going to be epic. Any long time X-man fan has always wanted to see this. Totally hyped to see the final outcome.
Gutted the Krakoa arc is over. Personally, it was the best mutant arc for years. But i guess the MCU has a hand as to why it's ending. The Krakoa era had depth, inclusion of multiple characters, and development. But unfortunately, we're seem to be going back to the mansion 😕
I share the feeling. I love so many of the side characters and to get to have them again during the Krakoan era was amazing. They've all been killed off now though and only the tired and boring remain. :(
@Niac022 It's repetitive nonsense again. Mutants are targeted, hunted and near extinction, and repeat. We've seen it time and time again. This is why Krakoa was refreshing. It had mutant stories but had their own troubles. Without needing the rest of the Marvel roster.
You're talking absolute shite.. krakoan era was the worst execution of a mutant arc. Hickman had an idea... And it fell to pieces when he left, to call it anything less than an embarrassment is a joke. Too many fanboys watching these videos, be good to yourselves and demand better... Geez, bloody simps
Eh they were becoming less human by the end of every story. War with the inhumans rebooting the timeline after a 1000 year war with eachother. They are becoming more like apocalypse every time they are brought back to life thinking like they are gods more and more. Extinction events are humbling experiences for mutant kind cause they learn to be more human and less jaded.
I'm glad that the Krokoa run is almost over. I understand and respect why it was so widely loved but it made the X-Men seem selfish and arrogant. The X-Men were no longer heroes. They sunk down to the levels of their enemies.
one of the details I like is the defense that Cyclops offers the "there's only one person that can judge me" line is ripped straight from when he was being judged by the Celestial in the A.X.E. event, where they end up reviving the dead Celestial that was acting as the Avengers base and it in turn decided to judge humanity and decide if it was worthy of survival and it judged many heroes, notably Captain America who it found not worthy and killed, only for him to be the first human revived using the X-men's resurrection protocols, and when it came to Cyclops turn he basically said "there's only one person that can judge me and she scares me way more than you ever will" before walking away from the Celestial who judged him worthy
One thing that has always ticked me off about X-Men Events is how they work to separate them from everything else. What I have wanted from the whole Orchis Arc is for them to realize how they have bit off more than they can chew: We are already seeing that with the X-Men parlaying with Doctor Doom and the Latvirian mutants. Wakanda, despite Storm once being their Queen, was hesitant to accept Krakoan pharmaceuticals they likely noticed the contamination early and might be tracking down the source. Finally Orchis's biggest potential problem with all of that transhuman tech out there it would be all too easy for the Ultimate AI aka Ultron to infiltrate and assume control.
Wakanda rejected the mutant drugs, portals, et al was because of Namor breaking their unbeaten streak during the AvsX run by flooding the place. T'challa annulled his marriage to Storm, and Wakanda has since adopted a staunchly anti-mutant stance that would make Genosha blush.
So glad you do these videos as I can't afford to keep up with them anymore. Your enthusiasm paints an amazing picture as you explain. Thank You for all you do!

Funny thing is they would have had a case against the X-Men considering the stuff beast did with the logan clones. Beast took out foreign leaders across the globe and for the most part it didn't seem to tie into anything. Though it could be due to beast doing it secretly but still should have been tied into this someway. If it did, I would like to know because it seems isolated.
For some reason, I have this wild side that enjoys when the heroes start killing the rest of the universe like it’s not a big deal. This is gonna be a ride.
I really don't care. The X-Men did not create a very large pool of sympathy throughout this run. Their blatant sense of racism and superiority ''You have NEW gods now'', ''Humans, is there any good in them?'', all the crap about a mutant-only island, and the cold dismissal of those who turn out NOT to be mutants anymore (like Reed's son). All this 'we are above you' attitude meant that I really, really was okay with the Mutants getting wrecked. So I side with Humans. The people without powers that the X-Men deem inferior. I hope Mutants LOSE. And I don't mean a temporary loss. I mean a loss that they NEVER, EVER recover from.
I completely agree. The X-men as they are now are people that the old X-men used to fight against. It's completely out of character for them to be this way.
@@shiftyeyedninja The thing is, they went throughout this run saying that they were 'better' than humans, 'the future', and everything like that. Except that, if you remove their powers, you're left with racist, bigoted people who put their mutant status above everything else. And by that, I mean everything. And everyone else's status as 'Mutate' or 'Human' is put above everything else. The personality, morality, achievements of a person are unimportant compared to genetic status. Mutant first, then Mutate, then Human. That's the social strata Krakoa was all about. At best, visiting humans (who needed special permission to even visist, but could never LIVE on Krakoa) were mildly patronized, at worst they were treated with thinly-veiled contempt. That includes humans like T'Challa or Tony Stark, which makes it all the more absurd. I eventually kinda gave up on the X-Men. They'd become exactly what they hated, they just put a thicker veneeer of civility over it than most anti-mutant groups do.
I have to admit this run has created a set of villains I truly hate. I'd love to see Storm come back to earth and have the classic X-Men team together again to break Orchis.
Great video. A few corrections. 1. Colossus's brother's name is "Mikhail Rasputin" not just "Rasputin." To my knowledge he doesn't just go by his last name. As u know, Pietro and Illyana share this last name. 2. The reason why Cyclops does not remember the attack on the Orcis base is not because of selective amnesia. In order to be resurrected the mind of the mutants has to be backed up. It normally only backed up to a certain point, and up to a certain distance. There was no way for Professor X to back up the minds of the X-Men that attacked the Orcis base from Earth when they were at the sun. It was just way too far. This actually gave Orchis a huge advantage because the mutants would keep attacking over and over again without learning how they failed. 3. In "Sins of Sinister", Juggernaut was sent hurtling through space and time to kill Thanos. The sinister-infected "Quiet Council" had Forge to devise a weapon that would and did kill Krokoa. That way they could frame Orcis for the destruction and rally all the superheroes to take on Orcis.

For all that humanity has done to the mutant population i am glad that the x-men are taking off the kid gloves and going full force now against orchis/humanity. Plus having most if not all of the super human community rallying against you is just a bad sign since these are the people that usually protect the world from invading alien empires or time traveling warlords.
I haven't respected or cared about the X-Men comics for a long time, stories like X-Men Green really poisoned the fruit for me, but this arc seems to be pretty good from the way you explain it!
They shoulda kept the Krakoa status quo and built on it. After all this it seems disappointing that they'd cram back into that dusty mansion that gets torpedoed every other week....
I am so sick of the X-Men writing it is okay for humans to kill mutants by the hundreds or enslave them by the thousands but God forbid a mutant even so much as harm a single human.

It's a good issue but leaves a lot to reveal that I commented on Blerd without fear's review. As I was just thinking about Omega Sentinel & Nimrod with the Phalanx/Dominion/Sinister plotline just now, I'm curious about the undiscussed plotline of the Children of Tomorrow/Darwin-Forge issue of his integration into the Children of Tomorrow City Complex (whether it was misleading of Forge for being released), not to mention Machine Man, Danger, Jocasta, Vision and his daughter, along with Warlock, and Issac of Mentor's city complex). Aren't they all AI with personality? Even Ultron and Machine Smith as well. Would a cybernetic mentality override all of their programming? Can a Dominion which spans time/space crush Kang the Conqueror? Watchers? A hive/AI dominion would be immortal? Would that be any different from the Cancerverse, where Death is wiped out? That storyline might be in the future of the Dominion of Phalanx versus a Cancerverse of Undying ones. Now that would be interesting.

@DaveHood-xd9uidon't, waste of time and money
God I wish he was portrayed like that in the movies and not a vanilla tool for wolverine to fuck with
I would be biased with a war against all of humanity but this Earth is on orchis side and they have no intention of ever coexisting with mutants but only with there own kind I guess this is understandable but only the future is going to determine if this will turn out for the better or for the worst😢
But, he has no pp. 😣
Wow so many bots..
So, yeah. I think Cyclops is trying to warn humanity about the Sentinel/AI threat,
That would be so sweet, I really like that
That was my interpretation when I read the comic.
You are absolutely correct! Karima and Nimrod plan to destroy not only the mutants but also the humans. That's their endgame.
@@maryse8 Claissic X Men TAS logic: Humans are mutants
Exactly
I think what Cyclops was speaking of to Omega Sentinel is the fact that once all mutants are gone humans will be eradicated next. The machines do not see a difference. And in Inferno she and Nimrod killed all those agents.
mutants are humans so ya your spot on. the machines see no difference because they are purely logical.
This is the cyclops that i always wanted to see in movies. This story is amazing man
In inferno we learned that Nimrod and Omega hate humans as much as mutants, so they are already planning to kill them afterwards.
Honestly I can't help but agree idk why everybody has to be so selfish but Charles' negotiations were kookoo bananas
How can robots even hate?
@@kuyt3400 so then is it the flaw of the programmer? Is it nature? Sentinels are a cannon event as someone will create them. Programming them to form conclusions seems to be the flaw.
You left out that she and her husband didnt just work on the mothermold. She turned her husband into Nimrod after he he was killed. But every time Ninrod makes a copy, he losses more of his orignal memories.

It's minor information at best. Not relevant to what was being discussed here, but worth a quick sidenote sure.
Alia uploaded her husbands consciousness into the machine so yeah it's more human than previous versions that have shown up
Still waiting for Franklin to regain his powers (again), sneeze, and reset Marvel (again).
The comic was released today, he read it once then recorded the video then editing and bam it's here almost instantaneously. Gotta feed the channel and the Algorithmic Gods (Dominion via TH-cam).
you are right, man i do miss the good old days when it was all about the audience and not the algorith, it is just that in these video he made some mistakes, first being Dr stasis, second the omega one, third saying that Rasputin IV can teleport like nightcrawler or not, then the audacity of saying that in sins of sinister they shot the juggernaut through krakoa, at that point he was just regurgitating nonsense, cheers mate and thanks for the reply@@tithannisk7470
Yeah that’s a huge issue. I’ve noticed this happening more and more sadly.

They should just go back to Mars fuck this reset
I am EXCITED for this series! Love your thorough explanations on them all! Please keep it up. :)
one of the details I like is the defense that Cyclops offers the "there's only one person that can judge me" line is ripped straight from when he was being judged by the Celestial in the A.X.E. event, where they end up reviving the dead Celestial that was acting as the Avengers base and it in turn decided to judge humanity and decide if it was worthy of survival and it judged many heroes, notably Captain America who it found not worthy and killed, only for him to be the first human revived using the X-men's resurrection protocols, and when it came to Cyclops turn he basically said "there's only one person that can judge me and she scares me way more than you ever will" before walking away from the Celestial who judged him worthy
"before walking away from the Eternal who judged him worthy"

I just don't like the idea of Charles Xavier's dream being dead. He Mutants walking away from it. It's never sat right with me.
Ultron was locked up and only just got came back in Avengers INC

So Marvel writers are just forgetting that Colossus is not magnetic. That electromatic gun shouldn't do anything to him.
Colossus not being magnetic is touch-and-go. In the first interaction of the new team of X-Men (the one from 1975) against Magneto, the latter did use his magnetic powers against Colossus.
Great video. A few corrections.
1. Colossus's brother's name is "Mikhail Rasputin" not just "Rasputin."
To my knowledge he doesn't just go by his last name.

Let me get this straight, the Avengers cannot do what they have been doing since Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch which happened back in the 60’s?
When Colossus transforms from human form into Osmium steel, his ENTIRE BODY transforms, not just his skin
Hey Rob, can you do a video on Madame Webb? Since the trailer dropped I would love to see a comic explained video on her.
Part of me feels like he covered her once during some of the lead up to No Way Home.
7-10 Split woulda been more fitting than Pinata. Seeing someone like Colossus losing their cool is ALWAYS terrifying.
Your average human joe/jane is going to be like "whoever wins, we lose".
They damaged the x-men to much now. I loved and still love the x-men I grew up with, but I'm to burned out on the shit they did to my favorite heroes to care anymore.
The X-Men have never been better. This story is amazing. They keep the tradition of the classic X-Men from the 80's fighting fasci st and the modern X-Men in the style of Game of Throlnes
@@ezekielmanu3662 x-men were never setup like game of thrones, it doesn't work with such a narrative
@@ezekielmanu3662to live in harmony and peace😊. Versus seeing the sign that the racist agitators are carrying around telling minorities to go home thinking that sign was brilliant and the racist was right and go live on an island in the ocean ignoring the history and family in the land you were born.
This era is flawed to its very foundation
Piñata special! 😂, I love it!!!
