    This has to be one of *_the_* most iconic moments in gameshow, if not television history. This man not only won the first $1million, he also had to flex and call his dad in front of live TV just to tell him he was gonna win anyways. What a legend.

    This guy is such an enigma - in a good way. He didn’t quit his job after this, he didn’t hunger for more fame. He invested his money, used it wisely, put money toward charity, humbly accepted his parody on SNL, and above of remained a good person. I don’t think anyone else deserved that million (actually only earning $600,000) more than this guy.

    This is one of the most “boss” thing that I have seen in my life. I was a senior in high school. My dad and I watched almost every episode together. I remembered when he called his dad to tell him that he won a million dollars, my dad and I just looked at each other, then we both made a really loud “WOOOOOOOWWWWW” and started high-fiving each other like we have won a million dollars 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Watched this episode when it happened. It's hard to describe just how awesome this was. No one had ever won the million. Then he comes along and breezes through every question. Calls his dad on the million dollar question making everyone think he didn't know the answer and could possibly fail on the question if he gets bad advice. What an awesome AWESOME moment in time. If you weren't there, you shoulda been.

    I can't imagine the self control it would take to not just start shaking and having a mental breakdown after you realize that you know the answer to the million dollar question...
