@@yardino2808 switch is usually fine, I've had frame issues a couple times in Duke's archives but only if I run through without killing anyone and end up with 30 hollows following me, especially with the iron pineapples blasting away. I also get them in blight town aa fair bit but that's part of the package
Thanks man, just did it on my 4th attempt, it's my first playthrough of DS1, hope this scythe is worth it ;) it looks difficult but once I learned the way by watching the vid it was actually quite simple. took me about 30minutes. Thanks again!
Joreselin I'm at the Crystal Caves, I accidentally killed Sieglinde of Catarina because golem was next to her, I swing my Great Scythe and accidentally killed her. I forgot I could absolute at the time, so I killed her. :|
punkek Its k bro, theres always NG+ :D I actually went the bad route and followed someones speedrun through dark souls as my first playthrough o-o I did another one without it and discovered I missed so much, but because I got used to sorcerer I kept the int but handled a halbert.
+Umbra Hado you roll off the left side right before the guards at the other side of it. it's much easier than completing the rest of the catacombs at this point, and you can come back with a divine weapon later and make short work of them all anyway. Great scythe has always been my favourite DKS1 weapon and I go for it as soon as I get to firelink.. it's not hard once you have done it a few times.

how is this guy walking past some of the skeletons? on my one, when I tried to do this, they'll roll at you for miles or take a flying leap that goes across the entire room, two skeletons standing like 15 meters apart somehow blocked me in an infinite hit loop. literally every skeleton I came across did the rolling instahit thing, and combined; that's instadeath every time.
From what i see it looks like the skeletons treat you different when youre blocking. He raises his shield and it makes them change attack patterns. At least as far as i can tell
their attack patterns are completly random, raising your shield or just running at them doesn't affect that at all. Just raise your shield and run past them and get a good understanding of the way and where u want to go - if u have to stop to think about the way or heal the chances u r getting killed r like 90% ;D
I still can’t understand how you don’t get completely dogpiled by skeletons. Never gotten past the necromancer at the bridge cause they block me and I have like ten skeletons in my back.
+thomas mason Well, Dark Souls 2 is not connected with Dark Souls 1 plot, so u can actually start playing DS2 without knowing anything about DS1, but i highly reccomend playing the first one ;)
+c1no Dark Souls 2's story is intrinsically connected to Dark Souls 1. Something tells me you went through the game without reading item descriptions or watching lore videos.

it's just a matter of luck. in any speedrun like this there's almost always some element of whether the enemies decide 'NAH, WE'RE GONNA CRAM OURSELVES INTO THIS DOORWAY AND NEVER LEAVE' or 'OH NO SIR, PLEASE, GO RIGHT AHEAD. I COULD INSTANTLY SWING ONCE AND KILL YOU BUT INSTEAD WILL STEP ASIDE AND DO NOTHING" that's not to say it's not largely skill and practice but _sometimes_ the simple pathing of enemies will make a (noncombat) run stupidly easy or hard/impossible depending on where they decide to stand
Im new to dark souls so can someone help me with this? When I swing the weapon, my character does it in a lazy/weird way. My dex is at 21 and strenght at 14.
It's a good dexterity weapon, works decent in pvp and it's heavy attack is a wide sweep which is really op in pvm. The running attack happens pretty quick as well which is good.
It's good pvp dex weapon but pve is another story. titanite catch pole is much better for pve and easy upgrade to max (about 440+ AR for low level character)
Nightmare Fuel it took me quite a few tries to do it in one go :p you might surprise yourself if you keep trying it over and over, good practice for dodging too. If you go past all the bonfires without activating them, once you get the scythe you can die and respawn on the surface so you don’t have to run back through all the skeletons
@@tykedopwnz Different skills level. I did that run lvl 10. Never had a problem to get a scythe from first go. Some people even with all guides struggle through the game
Yeah so I've died 5 times so far trying to do this, every single time has been because I can't run past a skeleton because I'm stuck between him and the wall. Dumbest shit ever.
I can't fking do this, I only got 2 levers in like 100 try's and the last lever it's been more then like 50 fucking tries. This games so fucking annoying it's not even funny...

After 3 years, still helping. I was lucky because jumped off from 1st bridge perfect into that "great scythe" hole :D
After 20 minutes, I finally did it!
I am a complete scrub at Dark Souls, so this was a great achievement for me and I'm proud of myself ;_;

Personally I prefer to go the normal +15 route so I can buff it during fights, my favourite buff is crystal magic weapon.

It's a good dexterity weapon, works decent in pvp and it's heavy attack is a wide sweep which is really op in pvm. The running attack happens pretty quick as well which is good.
I think it might also upgrade with regular materials instead of twinkling titanite, it's nice to be able to regularly upgrade it as you progress.
This is way harder than you make it seem dude. The skeleton ganks are way more merciless for you for some reason

This is impossible in remastered there is a guy behind the 2 skeletons on the bridge that litterally toast you even with shields on
That guy is actually there in the regular game he just bugged out for this run, it’s hard but you’ve got to try and roll through his pyroblast
