    I’m super happy with mine, I’ve had them for about 100 miles now. I was going to get the new rebel but they’re just too wide for my feet, glad I got the machs though. The midsole feels amazing, they’re nice and light, and overall I feel like I can really do pretty much anything in them.

      I'm the opposite. The mach 6 was way too narrow for my feet and the rebel v4 fits like a glove.

    glad to hear that they're good for easy and long runs as well since right now I am searching for a good daily trainer that I can also use for my speedy training days. been getting recommended the Clifton 9s a lot but I think the lighter Mach 6s will be better for me. thank you for the review.

    Seems like this shoe is pretty versatile. I was going to reach for the Ride 17 because I mainly run at low speed but this one seem to do it all. Any advice? Thanks.

    I do supinate, how stable is the Mach6.? I loved previous versions but outsole compressed quickly on the lateral side and ruined longevity severely. Thx

    I bought them and ran a tempo 7k in them. I picked up bad shin pain afterward and have been injured for 2 weeks now so now I’m terrified to run in them and need to decide if I return them under warranty 😖

    I tried on the Hoka Mach 6, it was little bit too snug. Which was disappointing as the mach 4 and 5 fit great. So I'm no longer interested in the mach 6. On the bright side it makes my decision little easier because my options are New Balance rebel v4 and Saucony ride 17. I had tried them on and I liked the shoes. Saucony ride 17 was a bit too wide, New Balance rebel v4 fit like a glove just like the mach 5.

    Between Mach 6 and Rebel v4 for daily (can switch off with these?) -- Endorphin Speed 4 for longer runs? Thoughts?!

    Would you recommend this as a daily trainer option for a heavier runner (Male/ 13stone/ 6.11 in height/ 4.50-5.30 per/km split speed) for sub 20km runs?

      @Seanonyoutube 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I currently run my weekday kms (5-10km runs) 3 times a week in Mach 5 and Rincon 3s. Prefer the bounce response from the former (the Rincons always felt a bit flimsy) Both are near of life so I need a replacement. Ideally just a single shoe this time.
      Fwiw, i do my slower, longer Sunday runs in Clifton 9s.

    How is the toe box? I've had some bad experience with Hoka toe boxes. I'd also like clarification why in the UK it's the Hawka Mack? Are we pronouncing it wrong? Here's it's the Santa HO HO HOKA and the Johann Sebastian Mach.

    so do you think is it narrow like the mach 5 or even more?

    • @st4331
      @st4331 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All reviewers say Mach 6 is very narrow. The Mach 5 is actually fairly normal; it is wider than my Speed 2 and much better than the Saucony Triumph 21, which I had to return as the toe-box was so tight.

    • @kentshultz6157
      @kentshultz6157 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried the Mach 6 on in store and it felt narrow indeed. Picked up the Mach 5 instead and it is ideal! Picked up the Speed 2 this week also and it is narrow as heck, especially the heel. Gonna return the Speed 2!
      I think my foot is pretty normal, neither narrow nor wide. I do prefer foot-shaped toe boxes (Topo) but so far, the Mach 5 seems spacious enough everywhere.

    • @st4331
      @st4331 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kentshultz6157 I bought the Mach 6, but in wide fitting; it's one of my favourite shoes now. I like the Mach 5, and it's one of the most comfortable shoes I've had, but the Mach 6 is more versatile and better for longer runs as the Mach 5 foam deteriorates after about 8 miles

      @@kentshultz6157 They are perfect for those runs, as good as any shoes I've tried, and the comfort may give them the nod. It's nice to know they are happy to pick up the pace of you feel like it. They are so comfortable I bought a second pair for general wear and taking on holiday.

    Went to a shop where they had both 5 and 6 wearing my Clifton 8. Did a 30 min comparison and the 6 felt too similar to my existing Cliftons, not worth to buy. The 5 on the other hand felt actually different: I could sprint in it for 15-20 meters and notice the increased stability. Mach6 and Clifton 8 would be too soft and would bounce my foot all over the place (like stepping on a semi - inflated ball). Not to mention the price difference. I went home with the 5.

    • @TranceMusic20
      @TranceMusic20 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That's why I think the best thing to do before buying is to go to a running shop and test a few shoes and decide which feels the best. For example they are pro testers and all of them find one shoe to be perfect but when you go to wear it you may feel completely different.

    • @stephenthumb2912
      @stephenthumb2912 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah doesn't seem like the same shoe. completely changed midsole and outsole especially the fact it's not grooved means no flexibility. I think the 5 platform and flex actually made it feel unique and nimble. the 6 seems like just another high stack stiff clone.

      Do not use running shoes for the gym...especially hoka which already has durability issues in their foam...you.will compress and kill your midsole.foam super early....go for a firmer foam if you must use a running shoe
